The Ninja will save his shuriken, since the enemy is most likely out of range. He will use the car for shelter, while tracking the enemies movements as best as he can. "They will seek to eliminate the advantage of your weapons."

Matt looks to Vivian. "Shouldn't be so free with the names, darlin'." Matt fires off a shot and takes down a ninja between the eyes. "Now you get out to the car! Get! I'll be right behind."
Three more ninjas enter the room.

Lex's shot takes off the heads of two ninjas instead of one, as Rex downs one ninja each. The remainder toss small eggs that begin to fill the area with smoke. Tetsuo recognizes this as the means by which they intend to eliminate the advantage of firearms: a smokescreen.

Vivian scowls at DR. "Don't call me that." she snaps at him. Grabbing Paul's arm, Vivian says, "OK, let's go." Vivian then heads to the car, dragging Paul behind her if necessary.

Tetsuo, his face already hidden behind the mask, unsheathes both his Ninjatos. Turning to face an approach to the group/car, that isn't covered by someone else. His body lowering, to take best advantage of any shadows, and tensing for combat. Switching the grips on his swords, to holding them blade down. The metal of the blades, at the right angle, hidden by his forearms.

Lex did not even watch his target to see if he went down, instead adjusting his aim but holds his fire as whatever was thrown started to create smoke. He holstered the pistol and took up his Tommy Trencher instead. flicking off the safety, he dropped back in the shadows, waiting for his opponents to close.

"Matt! Matt!" Paul struggled as Vivian pulled him out to the car, only to find everything surrounded by smoke. Gunshots rang out from inside the house.
The ninjas advanced on Lex, Rex, and Tetsuo, all with blades of their own.

"Shut him or someone will help you!" Lex snapped at whoever was shouting for DR as he focused on watching for the attack he knew was coming. He knew the yelling would make whoever it was a target, so he moved from his cover to try to cover Vivian's exiting with someone he did not recognize. As soon as he spotted movement that was not masked by the smokescreen, he shouldered his shotgun and fired once he had a better look.

Vivian claps her hand over Paul's mouth to keep him from yelling for his brother. "Quiet!" Vivian hisses in his ear. "Get in the car now! We need to get out of here!" Vivian continues to drag Paul to the car.
