"Right,if you could just give a direction and we will be on our way.." Mengsk said calmly. He thought of this as moving around in a hostile company. be graceful, careful and reduce smart comments to a minimal.

"Second star to the right," chuckled Airlock pirate, as he moved aboard the Pooh Jihad ahead of them. His voice could be heard chuckling as he went. "Straight on to the morning..."
"The quickest access to the bridge is up and to the right," the pirate they had taken prisoner said. "We can place your pilot in one of the crew births."

"Uh thanks and no offense," McKenna replied, standing her ground," but he my patient. I'll go too."

Mengsk gave a look and wondered if the prisonor had any idea that he was not the captain. He felt safer staying near allies and followed the doc for the moment. Uness there third person needed him he saw no need to cause trouble.

"Of course," Prisoner Pirate said, and headed off in a different direction. Not being a prisoner, anymore.
Jessica came up behind them. The airlock hissed shut behind her, sealing off the Galaxy.
"Let's get Foreman settled," She said. "And then worry about where we want to be."
Jessica moved towards the crew quarters.

McKenna nodded at Jess' suggestion after taking a last look at the airlock, then pushed Foreman towards the crew quarters. "For pirates, they aren't exactly what I was expecting. Not that I'm really sure what I was expecting." She was silent for a moment, " Either of you have any idea what the Captain is up to? He's too smart to just go down with his ship."

"He probably has an escape pod set up or other means to jump into space to be retrieved. If its a jump in space then I'm guessing some spare Oxygen is near him. I'd go that with either of of those plans. They are risky and have a good chance of success." Mengsk resopnded.
"As for pirates..they are people too. and often do what they do for reasons they believe are right. A few might even be good people in a job that is questionable by some. The concept of criminals stabbing each other in the back and being killers is something writers add to make them 'dramatic". Fear is not a good means to enforce leadership. People stop being afraid. a proper and successful pirate, criminal or even corperate raider for that matter have codes and live by them. Even if most good people call them 'twisted'. How else would a crew trust a pirate, criminal or corperate leader?" the engineer noted with a certain confidance.
"Even more so among pirates and thieve...trust and keeping your crews alligance is your survival." Mengsk added with a shrug, "Hell, when I worked for the company the CEO and board of investors were probably worse than these guys. I'd trust a pirate over any of my old bosses any day. A pirate at least has to answer to his crew. A CEO sees employees are just numbers. The pirate has to worry about mutiny. and Mutiny is a good way to keep leadership honest to a certain degree. Though I have to say the retirement plan for pirates is not so good.." the engineer noted the lay out as they moved through the ship. Spotting details that might prove useful in the area of engineering.

Jessica leaned against the door jam, looking the way they had come.
"There's monitor on the wall," she said, without turning. "Mensk, can you get a feed with it?"

"I can give it a try." he answered, "I have a basic tool set and my personel comp..that should be able to hande it." he looked for a port place one would likely be. Bottom, side those sorts of place that are odvious.

Sadly, Mensk didn't manage to crack open the casing around the screen to physically hack it.
However, he did deftly manipulate the existing controls to provide a video and audio feed.
Currently, the ship was in a dizzying spin, replicating the multi-directional rotations of the fragment.
Tawfeek was calling out percentages, speeds and degrees with a strained voice. Another voice was using words like "verified" and "It's a go".
"Well," Tawfeek said with a grunt. "There goes lunch."

"Wonder if he had the fish or chicken?" mengsk added with a grin, "I'm thinking we might get a better view on the bridge. Doc, you want Jessica to stay with you?" he asked.1d20·1d20·1d100

"Not funny Mengsk." McKenna said, looking away. "I'll be okay here with Foreman. You two go on ahead."

"Alright, you get trouble holler. I'm headed to the bridge to get a better veiw and see how this ship is doing." he headed to the bridge. Now this was gonig to be interesting and probably a tad messy on his boots. Pirates not being known for neatness the ex-captain was probably still splattered all over the bridge.
It was a bit of surprise and he'd probably get trouble from someone. if only he had a real weapon...right now all he had was some tools. a malletor hammer would be the best he could muster now...perhaps a screw drive or or something to help too. The weapon was a last resort and not likely needed. Life was full of surprises. Keping an eye open and looking around as he went for faces he might recognize from wanted posters, ex-fellow employees and the news that might be important.1d20·1d20·1d100

(Mensk) Seriously? After the "pirates are people too" speech, it's right to "guts and gunk on the floor"?
Mensk found the ship to reasonably clean, given it is less likely to make port than the average long-haul freighter. Plenty of naked lady pictures, certainly, but no blood, guts, rats, or refuse.
When he arrived on the bridge, Mensk was not prohibited from entering (and, again, no blood and guts). If anything, the bridge was more advanced than the Galaxy's, with better navigation and communications systems, and a telemetry station (Mensk quickly identified the person at telemetry was the second voice from the viewscreen). Unlike the Galaxy, though, this bridge – with all of its advanced system – was more customized, and a little more cramped.
Mensk could see the shrinking shape of the Galaxy out the front window. The Pooh Jihad was evidently following, though not keeping up.
Jessica came up behind Mensk, and walked over to someone who was evidently the captain of the ship. "Can you give us a video screen? And tap it into room 35?" She asked. Well, told, really.
The Captain nodded and a screen on Communications showed Tawfeek. He looked very stressed, and the ship was shaking something fierce.
"Captain?" Jessica said aloud.
"Stephens, that you?" Tawfeek asked. There was a long metal groan somewhere on the ship. "You lookin' to dibs my stereo, or something?"
"Contact in 10," Telemetry Pirate said.
"Roger," Tawfeek answered.
(McKenna) "I'll get us a view of him," Jessica said to McKenna, with a pat on the hand.
Moments later, the screen split, and she could see a view of Tawfeek in the pilot seat. It was shaking.
"Captain?" Jessica said from what must have been the bridge.
"Stephens, that you?" Tawfeek asked. There was a long metal groan somewhere on the ship. "You lookin' to dibs my stereo, or something?"
"Contact in 10," Telemetry Pirate said.
"Roger," Tawfeek answered.

'nice bridge they have. I should have been a pirate instead so called legit work. Right, retirement and health insurance was better than the life of a pirate.' he thought. watching and listening. Since the captain and Jessica knew each other better letting her speak was smarter. That and the captain was none too fond of him anyway.
He took to looking around and getting an idea of the ships make and capabilities. The design though compact and with better bridge was probably a custom job. Likely a modified light or medium cargo or military craft. That meant weapons systems and far beter armor. The system redundancy and back up systems were also likely relocated to avoid being targeted easier.
