... Also known as interplanetary space
Bridge
"The Pooh Jihad?" Tawfeek asked. "This all sounds eerily familiar."
He turned to Foreman. "Think you can scoop it?"
McKenna noticed a hailing call.
Hallway Jessica was at the airlock, waiting for Mensk He was putting her own suit on. Also, she was armed with, among other things, the ion gun.
"You're going to want to keep that on," she said.
And gestures or questions about the gun were ignored.

Flip looks at the Captain and then out the viewport then back at the Captain. "Unless this ship turns into a freighter and I haven't found that button yet, I don't think we'll be able to scoop it on board captain. Like I said before, maybe land on it and use our thrusters and engines to steer it."
He looks out and says, "I don't think we can out right pull it but if we can attach to it early enough and start to nudge it enough, we may be able to direct it's trajectory so that it misses earth. At the right angle we can get the thing to bounce off the atmosphere."

Bridge "Put it on speaker," Tawfeek said to Mckenna. "Foreman, all we need to do is claim it, for now."
He looked as the rock loomed close.
"Start spiralling in," he said, thoughfully. "Get closer with each pass, but don't actually land until our friends out there have accepted we know what we're doing."
dorsal "You'll be too busy in free-fall," Jessica said. "To worry about firearms."
She did, helpfully, hand her a harpoon gun.
"You have a 200 foot line," she said. "But the recoil will take a third of that. So wait for as long as you can."

"Sounds easy enough, lets see what we can do," Flip says as he moves to take the pilot seat.
"Spiral roll to close on the rock, sounds like fun," he says gripping the controls and moving the ship to start the maneuver.

McKenna nodded, then thumbed the controls, then said," Go ahead."

"The fire arms was't for the rock...it was for if I get stranded on the rock..." he joked. the suit sealed. Ready as he was going to be he was curious.
"So is the plan to send me to my death or what? making me jumping to the astroid and getting me killed saves my severance pay...But If I'm to die I'd rather know what I'm supposed be doing." he adds with grim sense humor.

[Speakers]
"Tawfeek, you really think you can win this one?" A voice on the other side said.
"This isn't about us, Frank," Tawfeek said. "Let it go."
"Like you let me go?" Xerox answered.
Concurrently in the Dorsal Airlock
"Really?" Jessica sighed, as she keyed the controls. "That'swhat you think of this situation?"
The doors shut and the air hissed.
"All we have to do is plant a beacon," she explained, "And I will be right there, next to you, making sure only the other guys get shot. I have no intention of leaving you there."
Soon, the light turned from red to yellow, and the exterior door opened. Jessica went up the ladder. "Wait until I say. We can't jump until we're out of their line of sight."
More Speaker
"You wanted your freedom," Tawfeek said. "You don't get to throw it in my face just because it's inconvenient."
"This wasn't the freedom I looking for." Xerox stated.
"Oh boo hoo," Tawfeek answered. "Hopefully you learned not to tell your boyfriend his world is smothering you."
Tawfeek clicked the com off.
He watched the rock quietly as Foreman ably piloted around it, and the GM wondered if any of his players need to dry out their keyboards.

(glad my keyboard is touch screen then, water runs off)
McKenna just stared at Tawfeek as he broke the connection. "Cap, something you need to warn us about before they start shooting?"

"No I don't think that about this situation. It was meant as a joke. You need to get a better sense of humor." he grins, "It is usually engineers and drummers that die first in the movies.Seriously though it is good to know what I'm supposed to be doing on that rock. No one tells me anything on this ship on a normal day."
"Right, I'll wait for your word, Just be careful. your the last person on this ship that has a decent chess game. I would hate to play by myself." he added checking if he even had the right tools and equipment to put a beacon up.

Airlock
Watched as the rock loomed into view. "If it's not funny, then the person telling the joke should be the one considering their sense of humour." She said. "Now."
And she jumped off towards the rock.
Bridge As Foreman circled, the rock came between them and the Pooh Jihad.
A signal told them the airlock had been activated.
"Do as I say, and no-one dies," Tawfeek answered, calmly. "He's been carrying that chip on his shoulder for a while. It was simply the first attempt to get us to back off from the claim."
He craned his neck out the windows to look between the Galaxy and the rock. "We just need to keep him busy."

"Everyone's a critic." he joked as he did what was expected, "Lets just get whatever plan the captain hatched done and back on the ship. I think you won that last chess game...I need to even that score." he replied. The joy of space was the lack of gravity..high impact was not as much an issue.

"Just keep him busy?" McKenna arched her brow at the captain's optimism and she could not help look at Flip," Cap, tell us you have some sort of plan here that won't get us killed by one of your rivals."
