Lex slowly pulled back the hammer on his pistol as he eased it up towards the nearing aggressors, but he still held his fire. He had to try to keep the Duchess safe. He would join the fracas once the others sprung their ambush, but not take the lead.

Rex is able to sneak up on one of the men, but his arm swings wild and instead of a chokehold he only had a hold on the lower jaw, allowing the man to grunt out. The others turn to see Rex and the man.

Vivian is about to loose an arrow at one of the pursuers, when Rex starts yelling at them about world eaters. 'What on earth is he referring to?' Vivian wonders to herself. She holds her shot for the moment, waiting to see if Rex's ruse works, taking care to stay out of sight.

As the men turn to Rex, Lex stood up from his concealment from behind them and placed his pistol to one of their backs. " Lower yor weapons," he warned as his other hand triggered the release mechanism and his gauntlet scissored it's blades into place.

The gunman that Lex had a pistol at his back dropped his gun and raised his hands. Another followed suit.
The one Rex attacked seemed confused. "World Eater What?" as he spun around, a bit dazed.
The Duchess raised her own pistols ready to strike, as a third gunman yelped - it seemed he was dragged into the bushes by a rope. There was the sound of a meaty fist meeting bone and a grunt.
The last gunman with his rifle spun about trying to determine what to do next.

"Last time I try to help," mutters Rex. "I wouldn't try it. We're after prisoners, not bodies. If you *do* try, I can promise you'll become one of the latter."

Vivian rises from the bushes and aims her arrow at the last gunman as well. "Drop it." she says to him, adding to the threats of the others.

The last gunman drops the rifle.
The Duchess races forward and takes the gun. "What is the meaning of this?"
"I won't tell."
The Duchess sneers. "Talk. Someone get answers out of this...this....fool!" She throws her hands up.

"I can try Duchess. Better than that grapple. My instructor would be ashamed," sighs Rex. Approaches the last one who surrendered. "Relax, we're not here to harm you in any fashion, we just want to find out information. Information can't harm people, especially you."

The gunman begins to speak. "The Society of the Silver Scorpion is meant to keep the secrets of the Precursors safe. We are prepared to die for our ideals. Are you?"
One by one, each of the still conscious gunman bites down on their teeth.
(Act fast, and you might be able to stop them)
