Wiping the dirt from his clothes, Magician says, "Apparently the Mutant Underground is arming up for something. The guy they met said he's sold them some weapons. Tiger did mention you going shopping. I'm wondering if we're going to arm up for this meeting or if we're going to be on the sidelines again. Guess we'll have to wait for the plan."

' ... oh? ... interesting. try to tell me what you can remember before they come out. chances are they'll 'forget' to let us "rookies" know anything. typical of units that get shoved together. all info is a need to know basis... so .. anything else of interest said inside i should know about?'
*gathers up a few of her gadgets, she had used. then wonders quietly just WHAT will be omitted, and then shrugs* 'don't worry about it buddy. i dont think its that important. thanks anyways'

"We may have ask them," Tiger says smiling to Patriot, but she is already thinking of all the other questions and issues clouding the mission. It would be nice if the Centurians could provide a distraction, but she isn't hoping for too much.
She slips into the bathroom and slips out of her armor and into a dress in preparation for the groups second meeting later. She puts her armored coat back on over her dress and carries a small bundle of armor back to the cadillac.
She climbs into the vehicle, while waiting for the others to join her, she phones Shroud, when he picks up she says "We are headed to the hardware store, follow us there, I've got some professional questions for you."

Following the meeting Dante sits and thinks over anything. It was good seeing his friend again, but the meeting was not what he wanted it to be. He would definitely need more time with Roga sooner rather than later.
He says nothing as they leave the resturaunt and make the way to the car.

Returning her smile, he walks beside her. "Just giving options." He's quiet for a moment as they walk to the car. "I'm not comfortable with you being the only experienced person going to this meeting tonight. I could choke Alexander for sending you on a mission like this with fresh recruits."

*looks at Magician as the last of her 'toys' vanish into the coat, well it looks like they're ready to head out, come on. well time to go shopping'
*moves towards the vehicle as the eyes glance at the hardware store. the notepad in hand, now stands near the vehicle and waits for the rest to show up. nodding from time to time as she scans the list and then wonders about how well stocked this one will be, and then ponders about various questions for 'tagging' mutants now instead of 'tagging' psionics and mages.

Khris answered his phone, replying only with a " Gotcha. See you there." He made his way back onto the roof and went down to the street in the traditional manner and collected his bike. He fired it up and waited to follow the others to the hardware store, curious what Tiger would want to ask him.

Turning to Patriot: "If I got to pick, a psychic and a magician would be my first choices- and getting someone who has been here before is excellent." She shrugs, "of course, one more clandestine operative like you and Shroud would be really, really helpful. Or a squad of fast attack tanks, but that requistion order never gets filled." Her hint of sarcasm betrays a slight frustration- she isn't so much daunted by Roga's intel as irritated that she hasn't come up with a solution yet.
As she drives the short distance to the hardware, she addresses everyone in the car, "I've got an assignment for everyone based on our meeting with Roga: save a mutant's life, preferably one in the Mutant Underground. And I don't mean taking out a potential sniper at 500 meters- its got to be something we can claim, so make it good. If playing games with people's lives so we can get credit bothers you," she growls slightly, "good. At the same time, Roge pretty much told us that Alpha Prime and the Centurians- the most powerful heroes in the city- have almost no chance of getting into the Labyrinth, so goodwill and asking nicely isn't going to cut it for this mission. It is going to be life or death, so a life debt is going be something we will need."
She pulls into a parking spot a short walk from the hardware store, passing up several closer spots out of habit.
She gets out and wanders in looking for Shroud.

*having only heard Tiger's response to Patriot, Jeckle worries a little bit about what led up to that comment. but going by HIS track record to date she has a fair idea WHAT the response was in reference to. Looking at Magician 'told you ... need to know. at least you got the info to go over later IF you feel like talking. excuse me SIR ... ' *glaring at Patriot* 'i got shopping to do. if its alright with YOU sir.'
'and while i don't know what led up to the response Tiger gave you that i heard, might i suggest you be really careful in the future if yer gonna start slinging mud about. it has a tendency to get returned and sometimes it sticks' .. *then having said her piece and meager warning, gets out of the vehicle and heads inside to do her shopping and mull over Tiger's comments about this 'life-debt' she wants to exploit, and sighs

Changes direction from looking for Shroud and finds Jeckle, confident Shroud can find her himself. "There wasn't any info, other than my assignment, that wasn't already in the briefing. But if you are concerned there is more, I would ask Cerebrum, since Roga is his friend and he might have derived more from the meeting if you take my meaning."
She lowers her voice, "Expressing confidence in my own choices or wishing for an extra hand on a tough mission hardly constitutes mud-slinging. If there is something you want to know more about, ask a question. I will answer your concerns and Patriot's."

*the eyes are blank as she listens to Tiger. the nod too easy to happen, but its the 'automatic reply of 'yes ma'am .. understood ma'am ... ' that says more to Jeckle's thoughts.
'its understood ma'am. i don't rock the boat and i'm fine. clears as the nose on my face' *then she steps to the side and moves towards the store, intent now on her shopping and the mental fomating happening now in hermind as she builds it in her mind now.
*it's obvious that Jeckle knows how to work in a group, but clearer still that she prefers her solitude when building or thinking it out.

Looking stearnly at Jeckle, he doesn't back down from her attitude. "Well while we're giving suggestions to each other, you might want to practice a little self control and pay attention to your surroundings rather than act flighty like you have been. I can appreciate busy hands, but when a mission is being briefed it would be better to pay attention to the matter at hand. I'd hate to think of you distracting yourself tonight when you should be keeping an eye on the objective." He looks to Tiger and then back to Jeckle. "And voicing my concerns about a mission is my job as a team member. Same as it is yours. You can call it mudslinging if you want, but I call it honesty."
Turning to Tiger, he sighs slightly. "If you've got nothing else for me, I think I'll set out and get started on your assignment." Turning, he walks away passing Shroud as he pulls up on his bike. "Good to see you're rubbing off on the new girl, Irish." He continues down the street until he reaches an alley. Walking quickly deep into the alley, he opens his case and dons his armored costume. Shooting a line up above him, he catches the side of the building and zip lines himself up to the rooftop. The daytime wasn't exactly his environment, but it didn't matter. The more people that saw him the better. Taking a run for the edge of the roof, he jumped out over the street below and shot a line out catching hold of a building and swinging down the concrete canyons of Century Station heading for the mutant sector.

" What the hell are you talking about?" Khris replied as Patriot walked by just as he shut the bike off. When Patriot continues past, he turned to give Jeckle a stern look as he stepped from his ride and walked over towards Tiger, a little concerned as Patriot exited his sensing range. " What's got his britches in a bunch?" He asked, thumbing over his shoulder in the direction Patriot had left.

*heads into the hardware store now, checking item against her memory of certain writeups, and then picks and chooses her required "toys". the issue currently out of her mind now, she is focused on work, and building toys.
*checs her notepad that she made in the alley and nods. grabbing one of these, three of those and a dozen of those. Jeckle moves to the fish detectors and points 'that one as well .. thanks'
*prepares to pay with cash and continues to remain withdrawn.
