"Not yet, but my folks will do everything they can to change that." Ashley replied. A few moments later they began final descent and touched down at LAX. While others rushed to get off the plane, Ashley made no efforts to hurry. Once they had a chance, they exited and baggage was already starting to be unloaded.
Slipping away long enough to grab one of her bags, Ashley returned to Isamu and grinned, "I got the light one,"she chuckled, " I think I want burger, what are you hungry for? After I stop at the concession stand for some gravol."

Isamu smiles and looks for the other bags, (one or more?) While he does he answers her, "I am not very hungry. You can choose where we eat and I will find something."

Once Isamu had his bag and Ashley's other, he could see she was waiting with a luggage dolly. She waited until Is put the other bags on top, then started pushing,"In that case, let's just grab some fast food. No sense getting anything good if you aren't hungry and I have to worry about losing it before we get airborne,"she grinned. "I saw someone going with a BK bag, so that will work.
After a few minutes,the couple had their bags checked again at the private departures counter and they found the consession stands. Ashley looked at Isamu," I'm going to duck into that little pharmacy we passed, you know what I like so just grab me enough to hold me over, though I'm getting something for the plane because I doubt they serve a meal on this flight either." She gave him a kiss on the cheek and headed to the crowded drugstore kiosk.

Isamu watches her leave his eyes lingering on her and in his mind he thinks, 'I never felt the need for an intimate relationship prior to meeting her, and now I cannot picture my life without her.
He walks through the terminal locating the aforementioned fats food chain and heads in to order a meal for Ashley. He orders "what she likes" and makes sure its enough "to hold her over" He orders himself a salad, pays for the food, and once its served he sits down to wait for Ashley.

Ashley returned just after Isamu sat down with a small bag from the pharmacy. She slid into her seat and opened the bag, pulling out a burger and fries, "So, did you think to do any research before we go, to see if there was anything you wanted to check out there?"

"I thought to leave it all to you. I want you to take me to your favorite places. I also thought your family would probably expect to take me places, to test me perhaps. Much like many of those movies you like us to watch," he says with a small smile, the one he reserved for her.
His face then goes stoic again, "honestly Ashley, with all the planning and situations with our work, and my responsibilities, I feel on this trip I may just want to take the ride along(messing up another common American saying)
Once Ashley begins eating he then opens his salad to start eating it.

Ashley chuckled, " Okay, we can make it up as we go." She bit into her burger ravenously, and Before she said anything else, it was gone. An elderly lady behind her was watching, clearing disgusted by Ashley's manners. After a slurp of her soda, Ashley said, "There is no way I am wasting our time with old home movies. I want to spend some time on the beach, and I have to get in some surfing if you don't mind." She started on her fries and it was obvious he had not gotten her enough to eat.

Isamu was not surprised or startled by Ashley's ravenous appetite. It was something that it took some getting use to, but being with her for as long as he has he was not surprised. He had picked through some of his salad, but as she finished off her fries he slid his plate across to her. He says, "when we finish here, perhaps we can find something for desert before we head to our next flight."
He pauses to sip some of his tea and then asks, "does your family know about our work, or how we get it done?"

"That sounds like a good idea." Ashley said, hesitating at the salad, then starting to pick at it,"We gotta get you to start eating real food. No, I haven't told them what we do, and I don't want to either. I told mom that you are an investigator with Homeland Security, which is partly true. They think I'm still a secretary and that we met through work. Mom and Dad are the only ones that know I'm not a normal person anymore, but I've never shown them the full extent of the other me. So luckily the full moon isn't until after we get back. " She gave a fake smile and then slid the empty salad tray aside. " Ready when you are."

Isamu smiles, "This is real food. I would have ordered some fish, however I do not think what these fast food places pass off as fish is not entirely fish."
He begins to clear off the table as he adds, "I understand. I am glad you told me. I will be sure not to use my abilities while we are there."
He stands and walks to a trash can to dump their trash before heading to the table and offering her his hand so they can continue walking.
"What would you like for desert," he asks her.

"Is, that's not food. It's what food eats." Ashley mock scowled before a smirk crept on her face. "Hmmm, I think I want... two more cheeseburgers." The smirk grew to her infectious grin and she quickly added, "But I'll settle for a blizzard. Want to share one? You can pick what kind?"
She looked up and waved.At the other end of the food court was her friend from the plane, waving back.

Isamu tilts his head and looks at her, he smiles and says, "it would perhaps be a better idea to get my own. This way if you finish yours then you can help with mine."
When she waves at her friend and Isamu notices who it is he says, "your friend once again. Perhaps we should ask him to join us for desert."

"What's with you?" Ashley scowled as she looked as Isamu and stopped walking. "So I ran into a guy I knew in school heading home too. Big deal, do you think I'd be ajerk about it if some chick from your monastery was in town and you wanted to go out for coffee?" She didn't wait for a reply and started to storm away towards departures.

Isamu is confused. He rushes to catch up with Ashley. He stops in front of her. "What do you mean? Why are you upset with me," he asks totally confused. Due to his lack of experience in social interactions he thought it may have been ok to invite her friend to lunch. He goes on to say, "I just thought that since you were friends once that perhaps you would want to catch up with him. Is that not what old friends do when they meet up after some time?" His voice one of sincerity. He was never a jealous person, and he wouldn't know how to be jealous even if he was. His innocence in social interactions keeping him from understanding why she would possibly be upset.

Ashley froze, and the color began to drain from her face. She leaned in and rested her head against Isamu's shoulder. Without looking up, she said softly,"I sorry. I'm so used to the other that I mistook your sincerity for something else."
