"Active hypnosis? Impressive. Usually very difficult to get a subject to work for you like that."

"Move Forward" the man nudges you until you find yourself in a central altar chamber. Upon a raised dias is a throne shaped like some horrific octopoidal monster. Lying on the monster like a babe in his mothers lap is the thin and gangly form of H.P. Lovecraft. "And whom might you be?" He looks at Rex with naked contempt and confusion.

Rex can see that there was something far more powerful controlling Lovecraft as his eyes locked with his. "A Mesmerist? Fool! Do you think your parlor tricks would work on such as us? We Serve The All Consumer!"
The rest of robbed figures change "We Serve The All Consumer!"
Lovecraft shakes his head. "Take him away and perpare him for the ceremony."

"...why does that phrase give me the chills on several different levels?" he mutters. "I didn't know this is a parlor, looks more like an assembly line for something bigger. Something fitting with the All Consumer. If you insist on having me taken away, can I at least ask what the show will be in advance, so I know what to wear?"

Lovecraft grins. "You will be served to the All-Consumer - your thought processes will be broken down and filled with its own infinite mind. It will be the greatest day of your life. And also your last."
The goons drag you some time until you are locked in a small impromptu jail cell.

"The Colonel would have my head under his cane if he knew I walked into this place like that," he mutters, carefully closing the cell door enough it looks untouched, just in case he needs to use it as cover.
"Now...if I were building some unholy thing, where would I go..."

Rex sneaks up to the top floor where he sees a very electrically advanced device - something he imagines Tesla would build - but it's configuration reminds of you of nothing so much as an astrolab.
