Caleb answers "Yes I am, though I mostly acted as a translator, I speak fairly good French".

'Yeah, us too, we were in the Legion together."
Augustus gives a hush noise.

For one Caleb might actually be perceptive! Caleb responds "Well I'd hope members of the Legion could speak French, given where it's from" he smirks for once as he hushes down as suggested.

Caleb's mystic senses detect the approach of zombies like an icy hand closing on his heart. He starts seeing them make their way up the hill, the same pudgy man from the restaurant walking behind them. Even in the dim starlight, he can make out that they have shovels.

Caleb just quietly points to his eye and then in the direction of the zombies to make sure his newfound companions see them coming. He'll then take cover and draw his gun. Since he has time to prepare he'll cast an "Armor Of Ithan" when his newfound friends aren't watching. It's invisible and will hopefulyl just seem like luck if he gets hit (he doesn't want to be overt being out of costume, not to mention that illusions might not work too well on Zombies).

Caleb can feel the other mage preparing spells of his own as the zombies move forward. The other brothers ready weapons as well.

Initiative [dice=20]
When his turn comes up Caleb will cast his Armor Of Ithan (if it's not up already) or take a shot at the mage even if he suspects he'll have to take down some kind of shield or armor spell first (he probably knows the same spells, but Calebl could be wrong)

Caleb's shot hits, and as he expected, the mage had the same type of protection.
The Mayerts brothers waded into the zombie horde with reckless abandon. Patrick wraps a pair of gas soaked rags around their heads and turns to light them. Ezekiel decapitates a zombie with one of his scimitars, but it's Augustus who draws your attention as he cartwheels into the middle of the zombies, dropping a quartet on their backs with a powerful leg sweep and then leaping into the air with with a large battle axe to cleave a fifth once down the middle.
The evil mage prepares his own spell (Save vs. magic - you'll need a 13 or higher)

Saving throw: [dice=20+5]
Figuring that if the mage's shield is anything like his own, it can be worn down over multiple attacks (which is why Caleb relies so heavily on invisibility) he will shoot him again. At the very least he hopes it will make it easier for some of these Legionaires to finish him off if they beat the zombies. Caleb is hardly going to try and box with the living dead.
Second shot: [dice=20+1]

Not having a direct counter for being blinded Caleb ducks down behind the cover he was using and casts invisibility. He's unsure if the Legionaires are going to win, and he figures if he can stay undetected to the mage at least he might still be able to do something if they lose when the blindness wears off. Of course he might have to explain himself after this one if one of the legionaires sees him (and they win) but he's ducking down before doing it for that reason. Best case scenario would be everyone winds up thinking Caleb has vanished.
