Sheepishly, Jason averted his eyes until he was sure Sierra was dressed. " Look, I know this is all new to you and we can all see how uncomfortable you are. I just wanted to apoligize for spooking you out of the kitchen and make sure you were okay." After a pause, he added," Why don't you come back downstairs and meet evryone, then you can get to know us and we won't be strangers. It's easier to work with people you know isn't it?"

Trevor braved himself tograb one of the chocolate chip cookies while Alice spoke. He took a testing bite with his eyes closed, then once he realized they smelled worse than they really were, continued to chow down. " You get used to all kinds of weird conversations like this. " He told Craig. " I took the name because that's what I got caught in just before my powers manifested. A tank of chemicals blew in what was supposed to be an empty warehouse fire. Lost some friends that day, and I got turned into a meta. Guess I was the lucky one since I took the brunt of the blast. It's got it's downsides, let me tell you though."

Kerry glanced at the monitors, " Guess they're bonding anyways." He looked around. " What is that ungodly stink?"
" Burnt chocolate chips, just like you make them." Avi replied without looking up.

*having finished as Jason talks, stands up and moves to the door 'fine. coming' *its obvious from the tone that she's hurting from something, but remains silent about what it is. then before Jason can move from the doorway, Sierra has slipped through the small space remaining, and is moving down the hallway.
*her hand move the back of the collar up and the hands lower. its clear that she's been 'hiding' for a long time, what with the many small actions to conceal parts of the body. as she nears the kitchen she turns to glare at Jason, but makes no sound as she enters the kitchen, her hands shoved now into the nearly invisible pockets and steps to the side and leans against the wall. still quiet, but thinking now.

"I'm sorry," Craig said uncomfortably. Here he was trying to be friendly and he ends up inadvertently bringing up a potentially painful memory. "I guess it's only a curse if you let it be. I was born with them, as far as I know. To me, it's not a blessing or a curse. It's just normal."
"How are the chocolate chip ones? I wasn't going to be the first to try one," he says with a laugh.

Alice smiles shyly at Craig and shrugs. "I haven't decided for sure what I'll have for a nickname. I'm still getting used to my powers." She then grabs one of the less burned cookies and tries it.

Jason whispered to Sierra as he past her and took and stood next to the breakfast counter, leaving the last stool empty for Sierra. " Someone decided to rejoin us."
Trevor looked up and motioned for sierra to join them as he replied to Craig. " I've never seen it as a curse. You sound like Ashley when you put it that way." He looked at Alice and grinned. " Most of us are, Will's probably the only one that is really used to him."

William looks up from what he's been working on to see who's left in the room. The mayor's press report added nothing new, and was most likely in response to the event at the hospital. It's fine if they're going to go out and rescue each other, but the hap-hazardness with which they do it has to stop.
"OK," He mumbles to himself. "Prefessional... A team... the law.... No. Prefessional, think, team, law." Louder, he says, "Terry, check in with Tyler and Isamu if you can, let them know cops are in a anti-mutant tizzy, and Ragnarok and Photon are in town. Thanks. Also, do we have anything besides the neon jumpsuits and combat fatigues?"

*Sierra moves away from the wall and then to the door as she comments .. 'it helps if there's a breeze to take the stink away' .. *then opens the door and blocking it open before opening a window to get a cross draft going.
'dont cook much huh?' *looking at Jason* 'and here i was scared that i was invading your territory ... ' *settles on the stool, her hands out of view once again, this time between the legs and luckily none of her natural skin shows this time. 'sorry they burnt. was only trying to help and calm down'

Avi groaned and rolled his eyes at Will's comment. " you aren't seriously considering uniforms?" He asked as Kerry picked up the phone to dial Ty, listening for Will's answer before dialling.

Trevor cut in, sullenly, " Felicia used to do most of our cooking when Ty was running the show."
" Don't worry bud, we'll find her." Jason said lowly to try to comfort Trevor.

*is clearly lost at the exchange .. and then looks away at the pictures. then her hand reaches out and grabs them from Ty as he's a bit distracted. then taps them on the thighs to get the papers all lined up and then looks up. the hair now shifting to cover the neck from view, as the shoulders hunch just a little, providing more shadow.
'i do have a job to get to in the morning. sure its like .. under the table, but i did enjoy it. i'll be fine without it then. so ... ' *assuming that the 'group' are professionals and not the bunch of the misfits they are .. simple asks* ' ... so when do we start practicing at? 6am? .. 5? .. .. uhhh ' *then locks her jaws together, to stop from saying anything else at the stunned looks she's getting now

Alice smiles at Trevor gently and echoes Jason "I'm sure we'll find her soon and she'll be ok." She explains to Sierra "Felicia is Tyler's fiance, the guy you spoke with earlier. She was kidnapped not too long ago when our other place was attacked." Doing her best to look confident, she repeats "But we'll find her soon."

*while she rubs the back, the hand NOT holding the pictures rubs at the other arm, while that fist is now rubbing at the thigh. the distess shows clearly. " .... oh god .... how do you people stand it? ........"
