The bouncer merely looked down at Alice, Isamu, Trevor and Dimitri as they walked imto the club. It didn't look like anything special until they reached the inner sactum and the bass rich music hit them. Trevor shouted just so he could be heard, " Where do we start?"
" I'll try this way." Dimitri said, and cut along the bar and disappeared into the crowd.

" Will, if I didn't know better, I'd say these to idiots were trying to bait our pros away from the club." Avi said over the band-adio. " Something's not right here. Anything out front?"
Kerry chimed in. " Nothing down here around the parking lot."

" Just let me finish my drink and we'll get out of here." Kristian said, taking a sip. " I should have known better than to rush you into something like this."

From his vantage point, Craig watched as their target made her way back to her table alone. As he watched, Vance got up from his seat and started to make his move.

*her smile falters a little, but Sierra does maintain the smile from the years of practice. ...o0( no one wants to see a sad clown. no one wants to see the ... ) *looking down for a moment, the flicker of pain is hidden, so that when she looks up to take her water and put the cap onto it, nothing seems to be wrong.
*then does the buttons up on the shirt. up to that moment, it looked like she might still remove it. Sierra looks up and finally states 'not your fault Kristien. i ruined your evening, i'm sorry. i took you away from your usual ball game, i didn't mean to be selfish, sorry. you know, i can get home from here if you still wanna go join your ball game' *stands up and steps away from the table, the chair between them, 'i'm really sorry, i .. i made a mess of things, and i'm so very sorry' *although the tone is full of tears, the face still has the half smile of the show trooper. then the eyes show the extent of her real pain, 'hey .. i was a fool to think i could fit in, and you were a sweetie the try. i'm sorry if i hurt you in anyway, but i can't pretend anymore' *starts to turn away, feeling her heart drop with her thoughts of self pity and sorrow for Kristien.

As Dmitri disapears into the crowd, Alice calls after him "Wait! I thought we were supposed to stick together!" When she can't see him anymore, she cureses "Bloody hell!" and radios Avi and Will "Dmitri just took off and I can't find him." Turning to Trevor, she asks "Do you see anyone you recognize?" Alice looks around at the other people in the club, wondering if she'd be much help since she doesn't know a lot of metas still in Miami

Dimitri's voice came over the band-adios. " I'm right here, Alice." His wave grabbed the others attention from towards the bar. " A smaller group won't attract as many onlookers."
Trevor looked at Alice. " Just a few of the regulars. He's right you know. I'll fan out this way a bit. Just you and Issy won't draw much attention." He said as he started to walk towards other side of the room, staying within line of sight as he did.

Kristian looked as though Sierra's words hurt as he answered. " Stop this, would you? How do you know you can't fit in if you won't try?" He finished his drink and set the empty down hard. " I came here tonight because I wanted to come out with you. Can you understand that I wanted to be with you tonight?"

As Will watched the front, a familiar pair walked down the street toward the front. He watched as Klaxon and his companion stopped to talk with the bouncer.

*the tone and the look of hope with the shadow of fear watch his face for the truth of his words. ' .. no one wanted to when i was growing up. well, not anyone that wasn't family ...' *chews nercously on the lower lip now, hoping he's being truthful

" Sorry, Will. " Avi replied," These two amateurs are baiting the muscle for something inside. They keep luring them further away."

*the face, which was slowly loosing its color from fear of outright rejection, now suddenly seems to get back to normal with her relief. a deep sighing and over all body relaxation shows that she was holding more than emotions in check. but its the smile that seems to well up from the inside of sierra that seems to brighten the room, is the most ready sign of her belief.
*moving so she stands in front of him, leans close and as she gives him a spontaneous hug and light peck on the cheek, she comments 'no one has ever said that and actually meant it. about my skin i mean. my family knows, but only unca tony and bubba knew about it and accepted. others would look away or move away. it got real lonely at times, like i had grown a second hear or something ... '

Once they had found a spot, he held her close and began to dance to the first ballad played since they arrived. " We don't have to leave yet, unless you really want to."
