Fallen Empire

(I think we covered Bellephoebe's equipment earlier, if Jourdan anyone needs anything, post and equipment list and it is likely that either Bellephoebe or Fakir can provide it).

Once all the preparations have been made, Bellephoebe, Aki, Jourdan and animal friends are able to teleport to Tanis Six where they find bunny girl sentries waiting for them. A short time travel spell and they are back in time to when the battle with the demons ended.

Fakir smiles broadly, "You brought another volunteer! Wonderful." Everyone is boarding the big ship for the journey to Fallen Empire. In addition to Sapphire, Tesla, and Jourdan, Fakir has found two other immortals, an associate named Malone and a young looking woman wearing hooded robes but her hands are covered with scars. For his part, Talon has brought three immortals. A hideous wolfen (PB 4), a weak looking elven noble, and a pious looking old woman whose merry eyes twinkle from her wrinkled face.

Aboard the ship the craft opens a portal and flies through to the Fallen Empire dimension. Once there, overlooking a vast ruined plain, the ship moves through time stopping in an earlier era when farmers fields bordered a shelf of rock.

With eight immortals they should be able to bring 56 other people (non-immortals) through the seal. Fakir, Talon and his wife Sarah. Bellephoebe, Ora and Aki. Just to be safe Fakir will count the animals: Yumi, Mao, Maya, the messenger bird and the blood hawk. That leaves spots for about 45 of Fakir and Talon's other personnel.

After some discussion between Fakir and Talon, this turns out to be 13 of Talon's best warrior nuns, and 26 of Fakir's best pygmy gigantes, aka bunny girls.

The nuns pack backpacks filled with tents, food, water, water collection and purification systems, and fuel for cooking. They carefully check all their equipment and clothing to make sure it is appropriate for the time period and won't stand out. They are wearing plain clothes armor grey hooded robes, and they carry knives - frequently either magic, rune or holy. They have talimans, PPE batteries and scrolls.

Fakir's bunny girls also spend a great deal of time packing, though they don't carry much. For weapons the temporal wizards and psychics have a TW Sapper Flintlock pistol. The rest are unarmed, despite available caches of neural maces and stun and flash grenades. All of them have their Shield Belts, some of their outfits incorporate plain clothes armor. They wear expensive jewelry, pack local currency and perfume into designer purses, and they also have talismans, PPE batteries and scrolls.

Most of the bunny girls spend all their time picking out one or two outfits, the ones with an intoxicating scent have plain clothes jumpsuits with helmets and one additional outfit. A few of the others take two outfits as well, though these outfits don't take up much room... unlike the nuns uniform grey robes, Fakir's minions have a wide variety of outfits:

Plain Clothes Armor Vest, often pink, often worn over Playboy Bunny oufit.
Black vinyl jumpsuit with hood (Plain Clothes Armor)

In addition to their clothes, Fakir's minions frequently have a hat to hide their ears. (See Pgymy Gigante thread section for more details).

While everyone is hustling around packing, you have time to do the same.

Bellephoebe watches the Bunny Girls pack as she talks to Fakir perhaps slightly more aroused than she should be by the outfits and a bit off about it. Not to mention a certain studdly Battle Magus who just arrived even if she doesn't care for his coloration. Not that she would ever say anything (being both high born, and a young, nervous virgin).

"Umm, errr yeah... okay... umm, well Fakir, I spoke to some oracles and I just thought you should know whatever you have in mind has at least a 50% chance of destroying this dimension we're heading to. Simply put, I'd like to know exactly what you intend. You should also be ready to alter those plans if you really care about this the way you say you do.

I also think it's about time you explained exactly why Daryl thinks you need to be stopped. I'm wondering if perhaps he saw what happened first hand and is acting to try and avert it".

This line of questioning gets Bellephoebe's mind off of other things, and she is still trying to find out more about what exactly Fakir is up to.

As she arrived from Dweamor Bellephoebe is already packed and ready.

If she can find the Cargirl from earlier she'll thank her for the rescue and return her recorder/PPE battery. If she died and couldn't be rezzed (which Belle would have tried since she kind of saved her by providing her energy to fight with) or isn't around Bellephoebe will hold onto it.

Fakir grins, "We'll go over the briefing later, but it won't hurt to repeat it for a smart woman such as yourself as I'm sure you'll think up lots of clever ideas..."

"Now that we are in the correct time, we will breach the seal. Young Prince Talon was supposed to journey here to select a bride for the Emporer's third son. Instead, we are sending letters to young Talon telling him to journey to the capital and he'll meet a delegation there. Since he doesn't remember anything about the Sealed region, it shouldn't impact the future. Also, is should be easy for us to pretend to be the delegation and influence him."

"So we will breach the seal, enter this hidden country, and go to make Talon's selection. We've traced the disaster back to this decision. And not because we haven't tried anything else - just nothing else worked. Talon picked a beautiful princess, everybody liked her - but the Empire was consumed with succession problems after his first son died and his daughter and second son vied for the throne. The third son never came near the throne until after the Empire fell, but we still feel this is the lynchpin. Even keeping the first son alive didn't help."

"The Grey Seers eh? We'll at least they are predicting fifty-fifty odds... Probably would've tried them ourselves, but we had some problematic prophesies here that didn't pan out."

"So the basic plan is to break the seal, enter the hidden country, and select a bride. Other than knowing not to take Josephine, we really don't have much to go on. We have to pick someone else, a better choice. Nobody has any intel on this area we are going to when it was intact. Talon's memories are erased, and nobody really knew much about this place. In the future we visited, but everything was destroyed and it didn't give us much to go on."

"If you can think of any ideas, let me know. And let Beatrix know if your team requires anything before we head out."

While Fakir is talking about the quest with Bellephoebe, a cute girl with bunny ears and tail introduces herself to Jourdan, "Hello, handsome, my name is Beatrix." She is wearing a jumpsuit, and holds her helmat at her side.

The messenger bird flits about during the preparations just in case any messages need to be passed, but the Blood hawk perches on Ora's shoulder and survey's everything with cool detachment - either the bird likes Ora, or likes perching on a giant nimro's shoulders to better look for prey.

One of Fakir's minions with cat ears and tail asks Aki if she can pet Mao or feed the lynx.

One of Fakir's minions says, "How are you doing? Do you require any equipment?" to Malone. She has red hair, green eyes, and feathered wings and is considerably more beautiful than the average of her kind. She is wearing a low cut beer hall outfit, and seems to know Malone, though he cannot recall ever seeing her before.

Meanwhile nearby, Tesla experiments with the Bunny Girls belt shields - trying to toss the pebble through one.

Aki studies the cat eared follower of Fakir . . and tilts the head and looks at Mao. 'little brother . . she wishes to give food or pat. is your choice. she respect if you say 'no'. wing sibs are busy. little sister is wishing to snoop too'

*she looks at the cat eared girl as the mongoose climbs out and then up to balance on the shoulder and front feet are in her hair. the delicate nose sniffs at people passing by and the bright eyes study everyone that comes near.

'squat and let little brother decide. is up to him. not force him make friends. his choice. he know, you know. this way him not trouble if he say no and need claws for defense . . . yes?' [aka don't blame him if you ignore his wishes and get scratched for your troubles]

Eyes drawn to where they shouldn't be, offers a half smile. "Equipment or services? Depends on where we're going. Survival gear would be welcomed."

The catgirl smiles a sharp toothed smile and crouches down near the lynx. "Of course, everyone needs claws for defense," she says, spreading her own little clawed hands on the ground to show she isn't a threat.

The Bunny Girls are dividing into eight teams of three, with the two leftover ones forming up with Fakir. There seems to be some pattern to it as they decide who will be the 'single,' the 'wing' and the 'tail.' But Fakir doesn't issue any orders on the subject, they simply mill about, deciding amongst themselves.

Once all three are chosen, the 'tails' each equip themselves with a set of battle bag pipes, a belt with a floating magnetic drum set, and a helmet if they didn't have one already (the drums are very loud). All of the 'tails' then turn invisible using either magic, turn invisible at will and/or martial arts powers of invisibility.

The girl named Ginger says to Malone, "Do you mean a knife, food, and compass? What kinds of survival gear would you like?" Malone might notice that Fakir's minions don't seem to be bringing any survival gear, only the nuns are packing practical items, so it could be Ginger doesn't know much about survival gear. She winks at him when she catches him looking.

Jourdan watches as all these do stuff. "They seems to know what is going on and what to do." he will then look for Belle. Once found "may i talk to you? I noticed you have a pistol crossbow and some interesting bolts. I was wondering if had any more arrows like that?? He looks around at the people packing, then back to belle "If there is time, i would like to run home, say hi to the folks and grab some of my gear i left behind as i left very unexpectedly." ((OCC: waiting on resonse from Albatross regarding gear))

as the bunny girl speaks, jourdan turns on the charm "Hello, Beatrix. My name is jourdan."

Beatrix's bunny ears twitch and she breaks into a beautiful smile at Jourdan. "Did you leave something behind? We can fetch some things for you as long as they are not too heavy. Just tell us where and when you left it and we'll have it for you in a jiffy. Oh, and be sure to tell us if it is guarded or if it might currently belong to someone else. We love surprises, but some people are far too attached to things that really should belong to someone else." She grins, eager to prove her usefulness, putting her hand on Jourdan's shoulder and glancing to Bellephoebe to see if she needs anything.

Bellephoebe can't find the cat girl who loaned her the PPE battery, but so many minions are coming and going its possible she is merely out on some other errand.

*the lynx seems to ignore the girl at first, then the nose starts to whiffle as he takes in her scent. he leans a little closer and sniffs the ears and then along to a shoulder. then sniffing the cheek he sneezes and then yawns, showing off his very large teeth. cat to cat intimidation. then dismisses her with a flick of his ear and lifts his paw to lick.

*once clean, he bats at her arm, coaxing a response he can understand. his youth shows through with that, then he rumbles happily and head butts Aki's leg and gets a reward of a scritching.

'he says you giving attention. now good' Aki grins at her companion and struggles with words to make her comments sound more logical and real. then realizes that she may never speak clearly for these people to understand and speaks only when the animals need to make a comment known

Jourdan takes a moment to think, then pulls out a pen and a note pad. [b"Ok Bea, this is a list of gear i would like. some i have at my apartment, some you may need to find."[/b] Adfter he makes his list, he will go look for belle. "can you make d-pockets?? If so i may need a couple. I am thinking, maybe, 3 pouches and a couple more in my jacket?? depending on what the girls manage to retrieve for me."

He then goes thru his gear, trying to think how to carry all the new stuff. with notepad and pen still in hand, he starts making notes as to how or where to carry stuff. "If i get all i asked for, i will need to make room. I think i will wait to see what i get before i do that."
