"I'll keep that in mind," Craig replies.
Craig sits quietly the rest of the trip, modifying his plan to accomodate the new information. The more he thought the more he didn't like the unknown factors. What powers could he have that he couldn't demonstrate in the van? The others are aware of them. They must be offensive in nature. Perhaps enough destructive power to kill them all.
Craig tried to detach himself from what they were getting ready to do. Hopefully there wouldn't be any trouble. The last thing he wanted was for anyone to get hurt.

The short trip acrossed the city brought them to the warehouse district. A non descript building unlike all the others in the area was acrossed the street, the only difference was the large black man in a leather jacket leaning against the door.
" Let's go bud." Vance said to Craig as he opened his door. " You two know what to do." Kenny and Neil nodded.

Stepping out of the van, Craig looked at the building.
"That's the club? Doesn't look like much. What is it, a rave or something?"
Craig tried to take note of the streets and possibly some landmarks, just in case.
Before they were within earshot of the large man at the door, Craig said casually, "I'll follow your lead. Just let me know what you need me to do."
Craig's heart started to beat faster. That uncomfortable feeling in his stomach was making him nauseous. He breathed deep, trying to take control of his body.
Just remember, they don't know what you're up to and acting suspicious will only make things worse. Calm down!
Craig rolled his shoulders to relieve the tension that had been building. It was time to get to work.

" What do you expect? They can't exactly advertise a place like this. " Vance answered. " The city wouldn't exactly give a liscence to a bar that caters to metas, now would they?"
" Yo sledge, my man. What's shakin?" He said to the big man.
The bouncer merely glared threw his sunglasses before thumbing them passed.

Craig follows Vance's lead into the club. Once inside he will scan the layout of the club for possible exits besides the front door. Considering this club is for metas, it was safe to conclude that the mark was also a meta. These little missing details were starting to get on Craig's nerves. It was going to be nice watching Vance fall. Hopefully that's what was going to happen. That's how Craig was hoping it would go. Only time would tell.

Vance led Craig through the outer room , the thunderous sounds of loud music echoing as they approached. In the club itself, the techno music wasn't as overbearing as it seemed from outside the room. The room was similar to any other club Craig had been in except much larger. He could see two other doors in the dim light, one by the bar that took up the one entire wall and the other acrossed the dance floor. " I don't see her yet. We must be early." Vance said just loud enough to be heard.

"Cool. Gives us time to enjoy this place a little. Afterall, we just sit around, we look more suspicious, right? Wanna drink? Or are you driving," Craig asks trying to lighten the mood. After speaking, Craig had a feeling Vance wasn't in the mood. From what he'd seen, Vance never seemed to be in the mood any time. Craig sat back and waited for the imminent rebuke that was sure to follow.

" We didn't come here to party, bud, so don't pound back to many." Vance replied. " I'll be right back, gotta go to the can." He got up and walked towards the men's room, leaving Craig alone.
A waitress came up to the table from behind Craig. " Can I get you something?" She stood with on hand on her hip in a pose that would be atactive if it wasn't for the fact she had four eyes and massive bodyhair.

Craig does his best not to stare or looked revulsed at the waitress' appearence.
Clearing his throat, he says, "Yeah, I'll have a beer. Thanks."
This whole place is full of metas. You never know who can read your mind, who might try to be a hero when this goes down. Makes me wonder if they're planning on using me as scapegoat if things go wrong, Craig thinks as he looks around the bar.

" You got it." the waitress replied, leaving without seemingly noticing his hestence from her appearance. she brought him his drink quickly. Craig could see Vance was returning, but he stopped to talk to a man seated at a table that Craig could have sworn wasn't where just a moment ago.

Craig's stomach tightened. He was getting a real bad feeling about this whole scenario. Vance obviously didn't have any regard for anyone else but himself. Craig kept finding new information concerning this great plan of Vance's. All the unknowns and now a new player was in the mix. Perhaps it was his general distrust of criminals, they are criminals afterall, or maybe his intuition was more acute than he realized.
Something was wrong. He could feel it. It was too late to back out now. That much was obvious. But it was getting increasingly dangerous to just ride this out until completion. This whole thing could end with Craig sitting in a prison cell while Vance and his thugs make a getaway.
Am I paranoid? Or is something more happening here than I've been led to believe, Craig thought as he sipped his beer. I'm in over my head... again! Why can't you stay away from this life?
Craig calmed himself. He was starting to get anxious and if something was up, he sure didn't want to let Vance know he was aware.
What are you going to do, confront him? He could just quietly make you disappear and then let you out when he has more support. I knew this was a bad idea, but I didn't realize how bad.
Craig tossed back another swallow of beer and debated making a break for the front door.

after his little chitchat, Vance returned, grinning. " So, you enjoying the atmosphere yet? not a bad place to hang out, long as you don't mind the odd freak." He chuckled as the waitress passed them, glaring at his comment. He merely blew her a kiss before continuing. " Our mark ought to be here soon."

"Nice little place. I could hang here for awhile. Yeah, the waitress is a little unnerving. Nothin' a can of Nair won't fix, though," Craig adds with a laugh.
Hoping that his comment lightened the mood, Craig adds, "Who's the guy you were talkin' to? Is he helpin' or just a contact?"

" Nair? she needs a weed whacker." Vance laughed. " Neither. Arnie's just a friend of mine. We worked together a few times, but he usually into bigger games than me. Too much can go wrong in them for my tastes."

"So, you aren't all business like I thought," Craig joked. He was almost starting to have a good time. That wouldn't last, so he enjoyed the moment while he could.
