Alice heads over to Jason's bed and gives him a hug "No," she smiles at him "there was no traffic." Pausing, she asks "Are you ok? I overheard Tyler telling the doctor that he couldn't change your mind about something. What's going on? What decision have you made that the doctor doesn't want you to do? "

" Ty's got a big mouth and it's none of his friggin' business." Jason grumbled before sighing. " I guess you could have just scanned my head and found out anyways. the doctor says I'm a candidate for biomechanical reconstruction. He says I could walk again if I let him take out my spine and replace it with a bionic one, but ....." he looked her in the eyes, " I said no."

Alice nods "I could have," she replies "but I'd rather we just be honest with each other so I don't have to." Alice blinks in surprise before asking "but what?"

" It's risky." He answered with an unsure tone." If things go wrong, then I lose what function I have and get stuck in a hospital ward to wait until I die. No thanks. I'd sooner live with what I have for now than throw it..." He stopped, realizing he'd let something slip out. He sighed and took her hand in his. " The damage to my spine is slowly getting worse. The doc says that if I keep taking beating like I have been, it may cause me to lose what little feeling I have, and posibly lose more of my motor function. In fact he can't beleive why I have any feeling now."

Alice blinks in surprise, having not known that the damgage to Jason's spine was getting worse. "Does that mean you'll be taking it easier in the future when it comes to fights?" she asks quietly.
Alice squeezes Jason's hand gently. "Whatever you decide," she says softly "I'll support that decision 100%. I can't imagine it is an easy decision to make with the risks that come with both options."

He reached out and pulled her close in a tight embrace. " Thats what I was hoping you'd say." after a moment, he added, " I don't know about taking it easy, but I'm going to try to keep from being distracted when I'm in a scrap." She could almost hear his grin in his voice.

"I was dizzy!" Alice protests "She did something to destroy my balance." Frowning, Alice crosses her arms under her chest as she comments in an acidic tone, "At least I don't steal people's address books so I can pretend to be a good samaritan by returning it just so I can pick them up."

"What! I Didn't! I told you that before." a hurt look washed over Jason's face as he went on the defensive. " Where did..." He ground his teeth as he continued, " Avery... did he tell you that it was his sister that I did that to and it was one a bet from one of the other guys? No, I bet he left that part out. what else has he been pumping your head full of about me?" He asked, annoyed." Lord, I should have seen this coming...."
He shook his head and leaned back, staring up at the ceiling not realizing he's still talking out loud. " Go figure, I fall head over heels in love and my friends try to screw it up for me..."

Upon Avery's revalation, William doesn't seem perturbed. "Well, it was either sent to spy on us, since it's an obvious place, or it's to listen for intruders. In any event, I knew we wouldn't be the sole listeners, and that it's ours only makes the eventual inquiry easier to handle. I'll make the drop in a few minutes. Have Kerry ready to follow me in. Keep Trevor and yourself ready to go, and make sure the rest of the group's back within two hours." With that, William looks for a wardrobe closet to see if he can find enough old mens' clothes (looking in Mac's to be sure, *snicker*).
When changed, he'll quietly remove the bug and wrap it in a hanky, and wait for Kerry.
