Ch. 13 Turning the tide

Instead of attempting to block the incoming blow, Ashley swung her arms together to rake her claws against his ribs as she snarled, giving the impression her mentality was also more beastial as she changed. ( OOC Simultaneous strike , roll to hit= (15+1) 16, dmg= 37 sdc)


Jason rolled closer, and set his hand on Alice's hands. " I like you too. Alot. You're what kept me going despite Wraith's efforts. and no matter what happens, nothing will ever change that." He tilted her head up so he could look her in the eyes. " Ty might have patched me up, but if it wasn't for you being there for me, I... I probably would have given up."


Dimitri and Wraith walked a little further and the conversation getting more heated until Wraith goaded Dimitri into taking a swing at him, which merely passed through his intangible body. It didn't take Will long to pick up Wraith's backup hanging back from the pair, but he had gone unnoticed so far.

Isamu feels the claws strike across his body but thanks to his stone form nothing happens to him and the attack has no effect. (ooc Natural AR =17) Fortress Warrior then raises his hand and strikes out at Ashley with a knife hand to her right shoulder. (Roll to strike 5 +2 to strike damege = 24 sdc)

William continues lurking along, keeping his distance, and watching to see if Wraith actually initiates the attack... as if he ever will.

[Mierin]

Alice blinks in surprise as she asks "Really? I.. I didn't know that." A half-smile appears when she adds "And here I thought you were the one that helped me get through that. " Her smile disapears as her mind goes back to what happened and she shivers lightly. She then turns her hand over and holds Jason's as she tries to dispel her memories.

" I guess we helped each other through it then." Jason smirked. " Maybe Trevor was right when he said we sound like an old married couple." His hands slid from Alice's and he seized her by the sides and pulled her onto his lap. " Guess thats because we seem to get along best when we fight and then make up. Seems like we do it everyday, and it's only been what, three days?" his smirk grew to a full blown smile as he leaned in for a kiss.


Dimitri and Wraith seemed to simmer down a bit, and their conversation became more docile. Will managed to make out Wraith mention both the Brethren and MacColter, but there was too much ambient noise on the busy street. A small group of people crossed in front of Will and blocked his view, and by the time they moved, Wraith had disappeared and Dimitri was standing alone.


Ashley brought her paws up in time to deflect the blow (parry 11), and continued to press her attack, slashing again with her other paw. (strik= 13, dmg 17), letting out another roar as she did.

From the doorway, Trevor shouted. " Ash, get ahold of yourself!", but it seemed to fall on deaf ears.

Alice laughs as Jason pulls her onto his lap and wraps her arms around his neck. "I guess we do have a fight a day, don't we?" she chuckles. "Besides," she adds with a grin "we're not old at all."

When Jason starts to lean in, she meets him halfway with a smile and gently kisses him.

[Dome]

Isamu again shrugs off the attack although it makes contact and grabs Ashley's arm as it connects with his body. (roll to entangle = 18) As he holds her he says, "Ashley you fight well. Do not let the fury overtake you. I know you can control it, and yourself. You say you can sense the creatures feelings that means they can sense yours as well. Use that to reach them and control them."

Isamu then yells, "Trevor-san do not worry. I will be fine, she must let the animal in her come to the surface in order to fully tame it."

" You don't understand Isamu. She is the animal now. The bugs mixed her DNA with the what was left by the bear that attacked her. " Trevor shouted back. " She's not thinking as the Ashley you met."

Ashley slowed long enough for Isamu's words to draw an unhuman murderous gaze before she used his grab as momentum to throw herself at him, her jaws clamping down on his shoulder (strike = 19, 8 dmg) with a growl.


Another thump on the roof above them drew Jason's attention as they released the embrace. " That doesn't sound too good. You want to go take a look? I'll get dressed and be right behind you."

[Dome]

Isamu feels the bite in his shoulder besides his stone form and gritts his teeth with the flash of pain. "I understand what you are saying, but the Ashley I have met is in there, I know it. I believe she can gain control if she tries hard enough."

Isamu takes a step as he struggles to keep hold of Ashley and turn her so that her back is facing him so she can no longer bite him. He whispers directly to her, "Fight Ashley, take control, I know you are in there and I believe you can do it. Control the animal force within you."

<OOC: FYI.: Isamu strongly believes that anything can be controlled no matter the situation if that person pushes, he/ she can overcome every situation. I realize that may not be the case, but I cannot help how Isamu feels. >

Alice glances up with a worried look on her face. "I guess we should go upstairs and see what's going on." A grin appears as she adds "Though, I must admit, I was having fun here." Alice winks at Jason as she gets up and heads towards the roof to see what was going on.

William looks around, still watching the people watching Dmitri. "Come on, kid... don't look like you've got something about to happen." He mumbles. "Because it's not going to happen here." While he is there, William spies out anything that looks like a viable target, including restaurants, stores, banks, medical centres, police stations and Wal-Marts.

Dimitri had the look of a shaken man as he took a moment to calm himself before taking a deep breath and continuing down the street. until he found another suitable alleyway and ducked into it. Wraith's backup backed off nearly as soon their leader dissappeared, as if they had been listening in. Nothing on the street gave Will a sense that the meeting place had been chosen for anything other than for the crowds.


Ashley struggled with a combination roar/growl against Isamu's hold. A gutteral " Let me go." came out amongst the animal sounds and she began backpedalling, pushing him towards the roof's parapet, her energy claws fading as she did so.

Trevor jumped as Alice came through the door behind him, causing him to spin for a second. " Alice, you gotta help! Ashley's outta control and the new guy doesn't understand that she can't control herself when she goes into a rage. Where's everyone else? Wait, you can talk to her, with your mind right?"

Isamu hears Ashley's plea and releases her before she drives them both off the edge. He then tries to right his stance and make sure it is firm to avoid being moved.

Ashley continued to struggle and pressed her efforts to force Isamu back. One of her energy claws reappeared, swiping at his legs (str= 4)

Alice nods at Trevor with a look of concern on her face. "Yeah, I can." she tells him. "I'll try to see if I can get through to her." Alice sends to Ashley 'Ashley, stop. You need to stop right now.'
