Ashley nods "Yeah, that's probably a good idea." She smils at Janey and Dmitri and heads out of the room with Isamu and heads into the common room. Sitting down, she asks Isamu "So, how are you holding up?"

Alice turns around, a bit startled as she was very focused on what she was doing. "I'm ok, I guess." she replies quietly before going back to what she was doing. It seems clear that she's trying to distract herself from thinking too much.

"I am doing ok. Aside from being shot at, nothing to upsetting has happened to me. From the looks of things I have been one of the fortunate ones today. I hope things work out for everyone here. The only thing I am regretting is not having had time for meditation yet today, but there is a time for everything."

" Now's as good a time as any." Ashley suggested, her hand shooting to her neck as something seemed to move beneath her skin. She covered it for a moment before continuing speaking. Maybe I could join you? Grandfather always said there was nothing better to relax you." she smiled and lowered her hand, whatever had been there gone.
The ringing of a cellphone echoed through the firehouse. after a moment, Dimitri and Jane came from the kitchen, eventually finding Will and Alice. " Sorry to intrude, but if we're ready, I have to meet Wraith."

"Meditation can be more than a tool to relaxation, It can lead to complete control, and help you become balanced with your environment. It was how I became adept at using my abilities. I was going to help Maria using meditation as well as Alice. Where is Maria? and Miss Dexy? I didn't notice that they were gone."

Alice sighs and stops what she's doing and faces Will. "I know," she says qiuetly "I just don't want to right now, ok? For all I know he'll lie to me some more and I don't think I can handle that"
When Dmitri and Jane come in, she shrugs "It looks like we're going to be busy anyway."

"That is to bad. I hope they will be ok. The little one was very afraid of some group called "brethren." Yes meditation can lead to complete control. It is not easy, I was only able to accomplish it because I had my sensei guiding me. Did your grandfather ever lead you in meditation?"

" He tried, but I was too fidgety." Ashley admitted. " And you'd have to know the whole story to understand why I'll never have that kind of control.." She changed the subject. " The Brethren are a street gang of metas. We've had alot of runins with them."
" I am sorry Alice. I did not mean to interrupt anything important." Dimitri apoligized. Jane seemed a little more at ease.

Ashley smiled lightly at Isamu. " I wish I could beleive that. But I'm not the only one it's up to." With a quick look around to make sure they were alone, Ashley lifted the front of her sweater to reveal her stomach. Three lumps were visible beneath her skin, moving around. A fourth came into view from above just as she let her sweater drop and her smile returned. " Pretty gross, huh? I've got eleven of them crawling around inside of me. I never had any powers until the bugs hatched out. I can't talk with them, but I can sorta hear they're feelings. Luckily they all kinda think together, otherwise it would get pretty hard on the head,especially when I change."
(OOC: when Ashley's symbiotes move around, they look similar to the scarab beetles from the Mummy movies)

Isamu is a bit taken a-back at the site of these things moving around. "I thought at times I saw your skin move I thought it was my eyes playing tricks. Do they hurt when they move around? How did you get them inside of you? Are they good, or evil?"

" No, they don't hurt, I don't even notice them moving except when they get hungry. They're why I eat so much. It feels like they just go help themselves to whatever I eat when they want something, and they aren't really good or evil, they just want to survive." Ashley explained, trying to ignore Isamu's reaction, though it hadn't surprised her. " I got them two summers ago when I took a job up north doing survey work. I got myself between a bear and her lunch and she attacked me. Anyways, after she was done mauling me and left, I remember some weird bugs crawl on me and did something to my wounds. Next thing I knew I was in a hospital a week later. I found out later that it was these guys momma and she had laid her eggs in me. Now we're kinda stuck together until they grow up and it's time to leave, but I don't want to think about that, I've gotten used to them now. Except when someone else sees them and gets grossed out. At least your reaction was better than Trevor and Felicia's. They both screamed and Trevor even tried to swat them." She chuckled.

Leading Dmitri out, he says. "OK, so he calls you, gives you a meeting place, you drive there and then what?"
