Backstory...
I know D'fel Shimra is not my real name is not my real name. According to Father it means 'Wayward Son' in some odd tongue. I know he is not really my father, but he raised me as his own. I was five at the time his party stumbled onto my family's lands and he rescued me, cold and left alone when everyone else had been killed. I remember being afraid, but his warm words and sharp tongue towards his counterparts for taking me in as an orphan I will never forget. He protected me when others would have nothing to do with me, taking me with him him when he could, or leaving me in the care of close friends when he had to go away. Despite his being a great warrior, he always cared for me.
As I grew, Father arranged tutors for me to learn, and a personal trainer to teach me to become a warrior like him as well. The teaching stuck somewhat, but natural talents clashed with the warrior ways I was trying to learn and it made things difficult. I struggled with the concepts until I met a wanderer who had stopped for the night. Well after I should have been asleep, I snuck out to watch the man and his strange fighting style of stick and foot as he sparred with some of father's friends in the courtyard, easily defeating those I knew. Later Father caught me imitating what I had seen using a broom handle in my room, and once he finished laughing, he introduced me. the only name I've ever called him is Shifu, which he explained meant both tutor and master where he came from. Father convinced to stay, exchanging free room and board for training me and helping out around Father's keep and I soon became Shifu's only student.
Now, many seasons later, Father has brought me with to this place. He says that he is some sort of teacher and leader for many, and that it is good for me to grow. It is one of the few times I have ever argued with Father. I know that I don't fit in, and I prefer to keep to the few I know and stay in the shadows. He even tried to get me to go out in the world, but I have openly refused that as well. I cannot help I am so shy around so many new faces. I am not accepted by others well so I stopped trying for the most part, even though there are many that are close to my age in this place. Prehaps I will try, but not right away. For now I will stay to my shadows, but prehaps....

Appearance: Maledons looked like small dragons evolved into humanoids. D'fel is short and slight for his species, but is still lean and muscular and appears to be crouched slightly when standing. His legs are bent backwards like a Wolfens. His elbows and knees have spine like 'spurs ' sprouting from them and has a long reptilian tail. Has a low fin that runs down his spine, and similar ones down the outside of his arms and down the back of his calves. He has green gey skin with brown spots and an yellow/brown underbelly and has black claws and blue grey eyes.
