Cecile mother died in child birth leaving her father to raise her. Unfortunatley for her the father, a renowned "bard" who went by the name Ortho. Ortho however knew the daughter could not grow up right by him and left her in the care of one of her mothers aunts.
Over the next couple years she grew up barely knowing the man that was his father, only that she was taught to call him uncle Ortho and occasionally received lessons from him on music as well as presents. When she was six the same talent her father had was discovered and that is when the real education came true.
Despite her handicap she was an apt student and additionally the powers of psionics gained from her mother. This led to a new level training to focus one aspect of her powers to being able to see using the "minds eye" and the rest was sunk into the lessons of the song mage. Nine years later she was invited to her fathers alma-mater.
