Chapter 67: The scrapyard (Team)

Dodging away from the flying rock-man, Siobhan quickly turns but grins as she watches him fly through a wall. "Nice shot Tom." she remarks, looking b ack to him. As Sierra pipes up about Deci, Sio offers a quick nod. "If you point me the way, Sie, I can go looking for her."

Isamu nods, "that is all right Sierra, we will head to where you last detected her. If they are massing that way perhaps we should make our own way around them. Tom, we need a path," he says pointing at a wall perpendicular to where Sierra pointed the brethren massing.

Sierra could feel Deci move back into range, but it didn't feel right. Si could Deci and the other meta they were down at least two stories, but the team was on the ground floor. deci moved in and out of range again, and she started to get the impression she knew the other meta with her, from one of the scraps with the Brethren. The group of brethren were starting to more towards the team.

Avi commented, " Tom, we ever need to remodel at the beachhouse, I'm nominating you for demo. Isamu, Kristian and I will slow down the Brethren, while the rest of you track down Deci and her friend. don't worry, we'll be right behind you, just going to close off any chance of pursuit." avi didn't wait and he and Kristian were headed towards the Brethren gathering.

Tom follows up, keeping an eye out for trouble. "Well, if you need a better view, I'll be more than happy to make a few new window ports."

'alright. heads up guys, they're on the move to us now. be careful. Iz? . . what's she doing with a Brethren member? i think i've run across him before. it's kinda familiar. we need to go down at least 2 flights . . and she's still going in and out. not sure waht that means. we better go'

*she looks at Iz, then at the others and hopes that they'll be alright. on that note, she'll turn and head off after the source where she feels Deci the strongest

[Outside]

Rusty emerged from the flames, her armor scorched but still on her feet. " I should have made sure you two were dead in the swamp. time to rectify that."

Trevor swooped in and picked up Long before Rusty could get too close. " It's gonna take all day to pound that armor off her. I hope you've got some more ideas." He dropped his cohort 50 feet from Rusty and her stalk towards them.

With a little beckoning motion, "Come get some, little girl. Who is your daddy?"
Then Long turns and runs to the nearest power pole and does a two-handed super-power punch right through the power pole. His goal is to have the pole fall on top of Rusty or even better to have the wires fall on her.

*she turns her back on the other team members, and heads to where Deci's signal seems to be acting oddly. 'i just know that she's at least 2 stories down. not sure what she's trying to do, but maybe things will bebetter when we get closer'

[Dome]

Isamu steps forward and puts a rocky hand on Avi's shoulder, "allow me to lead the way. Sierra, December may have been captured and placed in some form of prison. Perhaps the Brethren member you are detecting is also being held captive. We are looking for Raig. Panek believes that he is being held by Deth."

Isamu then begins moving towards the gathered group of Brethren members, allowing Sierra time to lead the others towards Deci,

*Sierra simply continues to track the odd sensations. she has Sio at her back and worries that there might be an ambush ahead.

*after a while she gets to the next level down and scans about for other people and picks up a heavy object in case, and proceeds again. if any other meta's are nearby now, she will point out the general area to them and motion ~shhhh~ then moves away. she hopes that she can get to where Deci is now without any other issues

[Inside]

Using Sierra's tracking towards Deci's general direction, the team took a hallway that led along the back part of the building. Most of the Brethren seemed to be focused towards the front of the building or outside, but deci could feel some of them in front and above her on other floors. With Siobhan and Tom following, Si knew three metas were waiting around the next corner at the end of a straight stretch. For some reason, there was a mirror set up in the corner that let the team members see down the corridor without going around the corner. [ Need perception checks in next post]


Avi argued with Isamu," You should be leading the rescue, not creating a diversion with us, Is." Despite that, he let Isamu go ahead of him and Kristian, who had changed into his crystalline form.

Kristian shook his head, " Argue about it later. Right now let's just worry about going home in one piece."

"Not gonna happen." Said a familiar voice from up the corridor. There stood two familiar foes, a single Hive with her energy whips already flowing from her hands and Crunch, cracking his knuckles. With them was another, who could only be called a humanoid stegosaurus that nearly filled the corridor. " Stegs, go play."

The human dinosaur smiled, then charged.


[outside]


Long struck the pole with enough force to bring it down, but he misjudged the angle and the pole and wires missed Rusty. " I thought cops were supposed to avoid property damage, Long. Or whatever your real name is." She laughed, starting to charge towards Long.

Trevor swooped in from beside her to tackle Rusty and was driven towards the arcing wires. Problem was, she grabbed onto Trevor and both of them cried out in pain from getting fried. Trevor crashed to the ground, his flames going out, while Rusty was slowly getting up. Her armor seemed to be almost flickering as she was getting to her feet slowly.

Long picks up the pole and hits Rusty with it. Most likely he would not be able to swing it very well with the wires still attached to it. So he'll just use it to pound her straight into the ground like a hammer.

Isamu says to Avery, "I am better suited to this at the moment. Not to mention I am probably not the first person December would like to see."

When the three down the hall square off and the dinosaur begins to charge Isamu takes but a second to note that he did step in front of his companions. He squares his feet and takes a deep breath and lets loose with a Kaijutsu Stun Yell (Uses all melee attacks)

After he releases he says to Avery and Kristian, "I need a moment, take them."
