Alice finds herself stuttering as she answers "N..No, it's not anything like that." She clasps her hands together and says "I just thought I should tell you smething before you heard it form someone else. Wh..when we were at the doctors, William recognized her as a doctor who was involved in experiment using mutant DNA. He was going to confront her, but she ran out to her car. She.." Alice looks like she's reliving it as she speaks "she pulled out a gun and shot at myself and Ashley and Felicia." Looking down at the table, she says "I got hit." Looking up, she quickly assures Jason "I.. I'm ok though." She stands up and walks around to the other side of the picnic table and shows him her stomach "See? No scar even." Sitting down beside him, she stares into space as she continues in an emotionless voice "William says I have fast healing abilities. He thinks I've always had them. I.. I didn't know I had them until just a little while ago." She pulls the bullet fragment out of her pocket and shows it to Jason. "This came out of me not long after it happened."
She falls quiet for a minute before saying "Apparantly I can hear people's thoughts if I want to now. I can hear Michael all the time, even if he's not talking to me." Alice's face crumples a little and her voice shakes a bit as she says "I don't know what I am anymore. I don't think I was ever normal." Alice tries to compose herself and steels herself for what Jason might say, not sure how he will react.

" Hey, I'm just glad you're okay." Jason said after a long pause with a slight smirk. " What's normal anyways? Remember, you're talking to a guy that shoots energy out of his hands and uses a million dollar suit to be able to walk. Normal was never even in the ball park."
He put his arm around her. " Tell you what, why don't we get out of here for a while, and go act like average people interested in each other. We can catch a movie or something. I'll have to go in my chair so I can recharge, if that's okay?"

Alice finds herself smiling as she leans into Jason, giving him a hug. "I'd like that" she answers in reponse to the movie offer. Looking up at him, she says "That's fine. At the risk of sounding sappy, I'll just be glad that we'll be doing something together." Alice blushes a little and looks down and cuddles close to Jason.

*closes the eyes and take a deep breath and then looks up, then eases out of the bed. then thinks to herself ...o0( kinda funny. everyone has a price. mom had one, they all do. now what's mine? should find out what the prices are. that would be educational )
*the part of Maria thats seen the worst of what streetlife has to offer snorts with cynasism and then goes quiet, as a smile touches the face. 'so .. i was too hard to kill huh? .. i wonder why that was? now i know what caused the change long ago. but i really don't think anyone wants to find out what else is in there .. i dont think Dexy wants to know what i found out today, but hey, who am i kidding'
*then that part of Sparks fades from the front of the mind, as she moves to the door and heads to the kitchen, or to where someone else is to watch quietly

Eric grab the rest of the equipment they aquired and headed to the shed. As he passes by Al. "Seriously though he wouldn't stop moaning about you." As he gets into the shed with Mikey "So you wanna get some food before we get to work on this stuff? I'm kind of hungry."

Jason glared at Eric as he passed by, shaking his head. He started to sputter then smirked. " I was drugged, I couldn't help thinking about you aloud." He stood up, rubbing the snake-like bite on his wrist. " If I can help it, I won't introduce you to any old friends. I'll meet you in the living room in , say 20 minutes? Wait, better make it an hour, I know how long it takes for ladies to get ready for a date." His smirk grew to a full blown smile.
Tyler looked up from his glass as Maria moved into sight. " That didn't take you long to recover. I must be better than I thought. So, you wanna talk?" He asked with a fatherly tone and slid a chair out with his foot.
You go ahead, I can't eat now. Too much to do now Mikey replied, his attention centered on the pile of components in front of him. He started opening packages and examing their contents. Can you set up that computer we got? and take the cover off the tower for me?

William barely dodges (11+8=19) the blast. "I thought we established using flame attacks don't matter. You can do target practice later. This is hand to hand. "
"Dogfighting." He adds with a grin. And William charges Trevor and does a body-block (Nat 20), ramming him a little harder than he had expected.
"Ooops," he says, as he circles, looking to see if Trevor needs help.

Trevor struggles to keep himself aloft , wheezing against being winded. " I forgot, must be my short attention span from too much TV." He veered to try to intercept Will with some sort of grapple hold. [ str= 12]

William changes his flight path to allow himself to be grappled in his favour (raw: 15). "This looks familiar." He says, whimsically, as he yanks Trevor's ankle and starts spinning wildly on a 3-D axis.

Noticing the bite on Jason's wrist, a worried look comes over Alice's face. "Ouch! Are you ok? Did you get bitten by a snake or something?" She pauses for a second before asking "What do you mean, you were drugged?"
At Jason's words about needing an hour, Alice shakes her head with a smile, "Twenty minutes is fine. I don't really have anything dressy to change into and I lost all my makeup when the building in the city got burned down." Alice shrugs, and says "I just want to talk to Michael before we go. I think I surprised him a little when I told him I could hear him all the time now. Just want to make sure he's ok."
Alice stands up and gives Jason a quick kiss. "I'll meet you in the living room in 20 minutes" Alice smiles and when Jason goes into the cottage, she heads to the shed.

Jason shrugged. " It's no big deal. One of the control agents bit me and I went down from the effects of his poison. I'm fine now, nothing to worry about. Just knocked me out for a while." He blushed when she kissed him, and he walked inside as she headed off. Inside the shed, Michael was busily assembling parts in a manner that only made sense to him. Eric was there too.
" Not this time, gramps." Trevor snarked as he allowed Will to spin him, and used the momentum to come around with a roundhouse kick. [str = 19]

*says nothing as she watches Ty for a long moments, and then moves forward to take a seat in the stool he pushed out for her. 'didn't wanna be thought of as some whiner. i ain't.' *the eyes show that the inteligence is there, but now there is something else showing in the eyes as well.
*then gives a sweetish smile, that could throw some people off, but Ty knows that it most likely is a trick, as the look of the eyes doesn't change. 'so, what do you wanna know? Dexy .. ' *then she goes quiet and looks away for a moment. 'she's one like me .. but she came later. a lot later and didn't stay as long. she wanted to know if i remembered anything. she gets called an 'outsider', so if she's one. what does that make me?'
*has maintained a steady eyelock on Ty's face as she speaks, the voice toneless, and for once, doesn't care who's listening* .. 'the old guy told us, Dexy and me, to look after Fel and to get rid of the tail. we did. she got home safe, and i guess that's good' *from the look in the face, there's a lot more not being said, then a deep sigh and the look changes to one of attentativeness and a willingness to listen after a whispered comment said close to his ear* 'hope you dont sell your kid'

William parries (nat 20, 27 total, but lets off a punch at the same time: 17 str) causing Trevor to fall back.
Gaining control of himself almost instantly, William hovers a few feet off the ground. "Good." He says in a bored teacher's voice. "Improvisation, adaptation. But you problem is not our technique." He says, dismissively, though with some conteplation. (Yes. Yes. I know. And I don't care.)
"Now, why did I hit you?" He asks as Trevor regains control.

Rubbing his chest where he got hit, Trevor shrugged. " Because you made a fist and threw it at me? How should I know, you're the one who's teaching me."
Tyler covered his mouth before he could spray the table with scotch. " Sell my? What the hell are you talking about girl? This is the happiest day of my life and you even suggest something like that? " He forced himself to calm down. " Look, I'm not going to pretend I know what's going on, but you aren't an outsider, and I wasn't referring to Dexy . You overheard wrong when I was talking to Will about bringing in outside help. And thank you for helping Felicia, I appreciate more than you can imagine."
I think we got it michael replied without looking up, his attention focused. Realizing who it was, he set it down and looked at her. sorry, I get into my work. What did you mean, you can hear me?
