Kris is able to find the Americans power armor base up closer to the surface. They have tunnels to all the major areas of the base, except to the surface. For a surface launch they use the big hanger sized elevator next to the one the team came down on. The tunnels from the power armor base to the area with the four machine towers is also locked.
There are six of the latest American model power armor on patrol at all times, and Kris hears them coming in the tunnel a good ways off.

Delving into the research, Jeckle finds many curious results. There is evidence that the North Koreans tried to build something, but studying the movements, patterns and physiology of the demons suggests they sentient creatures. Alien perhaps, and there are some elements of mechanical-ness about them. But Jeckle suspects there some kind of living creature wearing armor like a skin, rather than an advanced humanoid like bot. The scientists keep digging even after Jeckle leaves for her nap.
Jeckle finds Tiger at the barracks in the underground base, the Captain seems happy, glowing even. And she is dressed like a grad student, wearing her Chinese disguise. Jeckle can guess that she plans to inflitrate the science building. Tiger smiles when she sees Jeckle and asks, "Find anything?"

'depends on what you would find interesting. demons wearing armor? 4 bots built and 1 is a spare. units used for shielding. 100's of scientists underground and kept there. got them focused on other threads now. outside the box thinking. what i'm good for . . . '
*she sits on the bunk and removes the coat and checks the pockets and flaps to double-check the flaps and creases to ensure that she isn't carrying out a bug. 'its all in the head . . . but i need a nap. ask your questions and i'll answer when i wake up* she leans back and rests her head on the pillow and the eyes get half closed now, waiting for the 'questions'

"Good work," Tiger sounds pleased and surprised, "I didn't expect to find out so much so quickly. I'll let you rest and ask question later, should be plenty of time... well, maybe one question.... no it can wait. Thanks for the update, I'd better get to work before you and Kris uncover all of the base's secrets."
"Oh, and Heckle is resting around here somewhere. He got back late last night from his investigations."

Curious about the PA's capabilities, Khris continued along the tunneltowards the noise. No one had specifically said not to come up here, so he planned on using that as his excuse if the areas was indeed restricted. He considered using his powers, but figured that would draw more attention.

Jeckle gives a faint snort of laughter, then the eyes close. inside of moments there is a faint snore showing that she is indeed sleeping heavy. she will either sleep herself out or until someone wakes her up. either way, she'll be groggy and a little unpleasant until her intake of sugary cereal or juice, which ever is first

The power armor patrol pay no attention to Kris, either they knew he was there or they are oblivious.
They are driving EX-9 Super USA Exoskeleton's (if Kris can recognize them), and carrying P90s, but not much ammo so there might be other weapons built in.

When Jeckle wakes up, she can see that someone has set out her favorite cereal. Heckle or Tiger?
Heckle walks in right after she finishes eating, "Any intel to share? What should I be looking for?"

*looks at her brother and yawns hugely as her eyes study her brother. 'not sure what you need to look for. what did you find? not sure what anyone needs to know'
*she pokes her finger in the cereal and moves pieces about, then will pick up the spoon. 'didn't want to find no odd surprises in it. Irish has got an odd sense of humor. didn't want to find a toad or frog in it'
*its clear that her mind has become cynical since his disappearance and is no longer as open and trusting as it once was with him.

Khris just stepped aside as the power armor troops passed him by. Though he had heard of it (PA in general, no specifics), he was glad he had never had to face it in combat before. Once it was by, he contiued up towards the surface, curious about what sort of security they were using to keep any that tried out.

Kris finds that there are several tunnels to the surface, but all are blocked by a series of blast doors. In fact, the upper tunnels all have even more blast door sections that aren't closed yet. If an enemy got past the first set of blast doors, the base could close more sets. If the power armor were deployed, they could fight a series of holding actions to delay entry at each door. Judging by the dust on the doors, its doubtful the group inside the base leads any surface patrols, though there could be another power armor group stationed on the surface.

Heckle looks at the picture and says, "Hmm. I'll find her. Shouldn't be too hard, this base is pretty small. Lots of scientists and techs, but few troops. Tiger gave me free reign to look around, and I'm checking out the base personnel. Seems like most of the interesting people are trainers or candidates for the other teams."
"So right now I'm looking for people to check out. She looks worth looking into. Anyone else worth checking out?"

'could give you the list of names . . and you can get me faces to see if they match. but i'm sure that if there was someone that wasn't doing their job would have been wormed out already. not sure if thats a good thing. they are working well together'
*its clear her brain is still foggy, but she's getting more alert. 'like i said. she gave me no name. none of the others in the pit could supply one. might be a military plant or something. good luck. seems like we got aliens in those demon suits. its humanoids in the armor, but really tall . . so i'm not sure what to do just now. i had them checking to see where the safe zones might be. they had to come from someplace first. trying to track that down

Heckle stops to think about this new information for a moment. "Aliens... humanoid..." He shakes his head. "Wow. Yeah, if we could find out where they came from we could maybe find a weakness."
"Let me know if there is anyone else you want me to look at." He looks hard at the picture to fix it in his memory and gets ready to leave. "Send me a signal if you need anything, not too busy yet."
