General Concept
a Ghurka veteran who stumbles into the mystic land of Tagzig Olmo Lung Ring and through a series of trials becomes bestow with mystical prowess (Mystically Bestowed category with an emphasis on powers)
Basic Background (Will flesh out as I work on the character)
Sushant Aditya, an ex-Ghurka who served in the 1st Battalion of the Royal Ghurka Rifles in the British army, retired to his hometown in the remote mountainous regions of Nepal. One day while watching the water buffalo of a wealthy land owner one creature fled towards the mountains. Informing the land owner of the missing animal Sushant took his kukri and began tracking the stray up the winding mountain passes.
After several weeks of tracking the animal Sushant finally spots it and hurries over to begin the laborious process of bringing it back, but as he approaches the animal several armed men in ancient costumes appear and refuse to let Shusant have the animal.
Taking issue with the men's thievery Shusant attacked, fighting the two men and beating them with only his fists. When the two men fled the Ghurka began to guide the animal back down the mountain, but could not find his way. The very mountain itself seemed determined not to let Shusant go. Eventually he stumbled upon a hidden city in the mountain passes, a city where time forgot to tread.
Walking to the city with the Water Buffalo in tow Shusant hoped to ask for guidance back to his home. At the gates he was charged with assaulting members of the royal guard and stealing their property, seized and detained he was cast into a prison and four years passed by. Eventually released into the custody of one Tönpa Shenrab Miwoche as a slave. Shusant was held for another four years doing menial tasks.
During one day as a slave he was drawing water from a well when five men attacked the house stealing all things of value. Shusant watched the proceedings, doing nothing until one of the men approached a woman intent to force himself on her. Taking the bucket with which he was drawing water, Shusant slew the man, and drove off the rest.
For this act he was released from slavery and brought into the household of Tönpa Shenrab Miwoche, where he was taught the secrets of the city lots to time.
A further four years of instruction followed and Shusant was allowed to return to the world, with the knowledge gained in the city for his courageous act he was bestowed great powers to use in service to the betterment of mankind.
And thats the basic premise so far.
