What's the deal with duplicated skills? I'm making up my PC and have a lot of them. How should I handle that?

Hey daks,

I was just looking through the PC's I didn't realize N&SS skill groups were available. Would it be ok to modify my PC and change the skill groups?

Mission 1 is started, and the Mission 1 preview is in the Prologue . I'll put up a cutscene post like that at the beginning of every new mission. Feel free to post.

Dome- no, you aren't changing now and your PC is top notch without any extra skills

Mierin- I think we handled that in our chat, but for the other I have a personal house rule on skills. Duplicate skills can be traded at the following rates:

- 1 for 1 within a catagory ( ex. WP rifle for WP heavy)

- 2 for 1 between catagories a PC has ( ex. PC has Military and Physical. Trade WP Rifle and radio Basic for Boxing)

- 3 for 1 for skill from a catagory a PC does not have (ex. a pc wanting to take Sniper without having the Epionage skill group)

I will make acceptions if reasonable (ex- Sasq's pc wasn't eligible to take Hacking, but it made sense for Commtech to have), and all substitutions must be approved by me via PM

I think Red had a good character. My little brother makes good characters. Red said she's cool with it, too. So if allowed, and since it's early in the game, could I take over playing Lane?

I realize I never decribed McKenzies appearance in the Mission thread; there is a picture posted in my character thread now. She's 5'10 with a trim and athletic figure. Currently, McKenzie is wearing Multicam but no cover, with the 160th SOAR patch and rank. A desert eagle .50 is holstered at her waist (in a position that indicates she is most likely right handed). Boots are not quite as polished as Forbes. Overall more 'formal' than civilian clothing, but much less so than a a dress uniform.

Question for Daks: Would pilot airplane be sufficient for a plane using turbofan engines, like the Lear? or would I need pilot jet for that?

Because it is only for light RP to intro the game, I'll allow it but she's not as good at it as a pc with pilot:jet

Just a quick note, since this has come up in other games

when PC's are speaking in a foriegn language, for simplicity please post it in { } brackets and change the font color, then put a note at the bottom of the post to identify what language it was spoken in , such as:

Note: { } denote spoken in Spanish

For pc thoughts, write in italics to identify this

For telepathic conversations, use italics and quotations, and changing font color also helps

For muttering something under a PC's breath, use subscripts

<sub>For shouting, use bold font
