' its not that i don't wanna eat .. its i can't. just after i changed to look like this? .. i couldn't eat for about, ... uhh .. 6 weeks? anything i ate tasted like burnt stuff. found it easier to not eat except once every 3 days. could drink water, just couldn't keep anything down. that was after i got beaten by the belt. thought i heard a bone break. guess it was one of those glass thingees that Ty got outta my back .. i broke another not to long ago .. '
' i don't remember a lot .. but thats one thing i won't forget. guess thats where i get the itchies from at times .. ' *her fingers scritch at a spot that 'wormy thing' was moments before* 'i don't wanna talk too much when the others are about. they make me feel bad for having to wash in fountains or taking clothes out of the big boxes on some corners. i don't want them bugging me about not eating too.'

*says nothing for a few moments then in an awed voice 'you'd do that for me? .. teach me something? .. but .. ' *sits there, blinking with confusion and wonder* 'but you don't know me. no one wants to do something nice for me without a cost.
'these guys help me .. but they want me to work with them and not run away .. don't know what else they want me to do' .. *looks up at Isamu in the eyes, her gold eyes hard as they search his face for the truth* 'i don't know much i can help you. but i could teach you how to skate? .. otherwise .. my skills are more like .. what it takes to survive on the streets. being a thief and stealing and stuff.
*shrugs as she admits that* 'but somehow .. i don't think thats what you wanna learn .. is it?'

*shakes the head briefly to clear the thoughts and foggy thoughts 'thanks .. its hard when everyone looks down on you. you start to believe yer nothin but trash. you make me hope someone else wont think that of me now' *a faint but hopeful smile plays about on the lips as if trying on a new coat for winter*

*goes quiet as she thinks over the conversation. the urge to bolt fades with each passing moment, but the panic button is that much closer to the surface. the panic button, the only thing thats kept her alive this long and out of sight of the others out there that would have killed her or swallowed her to the point of not being herself anymore.
'it was my fault then .. wasn't it? .. this whole time. the reason no one likes me other than Dexy. it was all my fault. but, .. it was the only way to survive. push away so i wouldn't hurt them.
*sighs with a small smirk. 'time to change that now .. right?' *looking up with eyes that are too filled with hope, then the startled look snaps into life as movement is spotted coming closer, which heralds a tiny flicker of electricity along the arm. her attention then vanishes as her focal point shifts to the arm in question with a frown.

*stands up and wipes the tear streaked face and the shoulders sag for a moment, as unease crosses the face, and then moves to the backseat of the mind. 'i ... i'll try with .. uhh .. *looks aobut for someone to talk to and then decides* 'i guess Alice is madder at me then anyone else. i'll try with her first'
*then makes her slow way back to the kitchen. hoping as she moves along, that her self defense thinking has injured anything beyond redemption, but knows in her heart that someone won't forgive as easily as she hopes. her eyes drifting towards where Trev vanished with Ashley.

As Maria left, Mikey's voice popped into Isamu's mind. That was really cool how you tried to help her. He stepped into sight from around the corner. I didn't mean to eavesdrop, sorry
