Jourdan sees the women land. "Hello. 1 moment please." He uses a spare shirt to wipe the sweat off him, while casting Armor of Ithan on himself. "Maya, do you think this is a good idea?" He looks over at them, as they land and approach. "Hmmm... a lynx and a mongoose? Who are these ladies?"

He wiil use his skills to check them out as he dresses. He will use his seduction skills to make it look like he is just scoping them out, but he will really be looking for weaponry, armor, clues on training, etc. Once dressed, he will use his hands to invite them to sit. "Join me for a snack?" Jourdan will offer his kulich ((2 slices per person / 1 slice per animal))

Once everyone is seated "How may i help you?"

Bellephoebe is a bit put off by Jourdan's seductive manner and considers snapping at him before realizing that she's a sojourner and not in uniform. That's simply not the attitude a High Magus is typically addressed with in Dweamor, especially not her given her family's role in the city. I'm guessing Ghostwalker is also returned from a Sojourn for some reason and isn't in uniform or wearing DPP/Magus armor so she wouldn't recognize him as a Battle Magus at the moment (which even off-duty raises some questions about how one comports themselves, Bellephoebe being a High Magus and usually in command in the role of something akin to a general of strategist, where the Battle Magus are the rank and file troops of the DPP) she instead somewhat cooly (but politely) says "I'll pass on the snack, thank you." remaining somewhat aloof and business like she will say "The Gray Seers informed me that Starlighter would lead me to an immortal who would be willing to assist me in preventing the possible destruction of another dimension. I'm guessing that would be you. If not, I suppose we should get moving, time is of the essence"

Given his demeanor Bellephoebe assumes this COULDN'T be the guy, so she maintains polite detachment with the intention of moving on to begin making plans in earnest once the immortal in question has been located. She hasn't had anyone take that kind of pose greeting her since Merctown and she didn't appreciate it there either.

She thinks nothing of his skin color, plenty of magical experiments gone awry and wierd D-bees in Dweamor. She figures if it isn't the result of something gone haywire, he's something akin to a Star Elf or Asgardian Elf or something.

With Jourdan's magic lore skill failing, he manages to miss that Bellephoebe is a High Magus, however he knows that with so many animals the two of them must have some magic, either as mages or druids.

With his intelligence skill, he can tell that Bellephoebe is from Dweamor, not just passing through. Her accent and attitude give her away.

The messenger bird and Maya have a short conversation, and Maya approaches Aki. Maya likes the bird, and the two seem to have met previously. Aki and Jourdan can tell the messenger bird and the tree runner aren't meeting for the first time, seeming friendly.

Aki is totally dense at the seduction. her eyes are studying the bird and the odd creature. she smiles as she listens to the chirping and chattering and covers the mouth to hide the grin. her quiet voice keeps the wild beasts from doing more than watch the new creature and odd male with bright intelligent eyes

*she squats and gets closer to the beast and speaks to it 'hello little one. i am Aki. sister to Yumi and Mao and friend to wing sibs. i see wing sister has talked with you before. maybe we meet before? many come visit' *her words are clearly meant for the animal alone as they sound like the animal's regular noises. she offers it a strip of meat once she sees the type of teeth it has.

*its clear to those watching, this small female is either touched in the mind or likes animals too much to pay attention to other people. she will listen to the creatures assorted noises and then nod. she will offer the gryphon she rode a snack of meat as well. she figures that snacks are alright for such dedicated hard work

Jourdan is now dressed in his Federation of magic military uniform with his trench coat over all of it. He then puts on his utility belt and weapons. He checks his weapons as he dons them. First his cobalt blue longsword. This goes on his back (The same way Blade wears his). Then his pump pistol, which is placed on his right thigh. followed by a bunch of throwing knives. These go in various places on his body. He then places a Rambo style survival knife in his left boot and a vibro knife in his right boot. Once dressed, he folds up his mage armor and puts it in his knapsack, followed by his dog boy spikes in his trench coat pocket.

While doing this he listens to the elf lady speak. From the way you speak and carry yourself, you must be from here in dweomer. I, to, am from here. I was on a sojuorn and now have returned to see if i am needed anywhere. You, my lady, have given me my answer." He sits and enjoys some kulich. after a bite, he looks at Belle "My name is jourdan Greystalk. I am a battle magus and i am at your service. Please explain what you need me for."

He puts some of the kulich down for maya. "Hey little one. what did i tell you about taking food from strangers? *mental chuckle* at least you like these ones." "Apparantly my friend there likes you, little one. how is it you get along so well with those animals. Are you a druid?"

Aki looks up at Jourdan with a puzzled look that shows hard thinking behind it, then she looks about. 'a pair whats? . . . is little sister [pats Yumi the mongoose] . . little brother [pats Mao the lynx] . . and wild sibs [motioning to the 2 odd birds] . . big wing sibs [the 2 gryphons]. what i drew?' *looks at her feet and ponders that 'not touch ground to make scratches. cant drew it if not scratching'

*she turns about making sure she didn't scratch then laughs as Mao yawns widely, trying to assert his pecking order with the new animal. then it sits up and paddles the coat in a gentle patting and squeaks. Aki looks at him and chuckles 'yes yes. big belly needs filling. here' *offers up another strip of meat and again as the lynx noms it and rumbles happily now.

Yumi hops down and after sniffing the new animal, moves forward and pauses once before her teeth snags a piece of offered meat and drags it back to the lynx, and chirps at him before moving up for another for herself. 'yes little sister. brother is growing into feet now. yes you are good hunter'. she needs to decypher words first, and some don't make a lot of sense. she simply stays quiet until she gets it translated or will try to figure it out herself. for now? she simply stays quiet and watches

Maya continues to eat and communicate with Yumi and the messenger bird, though the young lynx is somewhat ignored, perhpas because it is dangerous.

The messenger bird asks, in chirps that Jourdan and Bellephoebe can understand, "Where too? Where too?" The little bird is excited to get out of the city and begin another journey.

Bellephoebe says "I am Bellephoebe Laurelbright, of THOSE Laurelbrights, and a High Magus. I hope your sojourn went well, I'm still technically on mine so I'll forgive your demeanor. As for what I need you for, I am seeking an immortal, someone who cannot die. There is an entire dimension in danger, and someone called Fakir is trying to travel there to save it. According to the Gray Seers it's equally possible he'll destroy it, and I plan to go there to ensure things turn out the right way. In order to perform the time travel rituals both to return to Fakir's point of departure, and then enter the dimension in question at the right time. The time travel ritual in question requires a blood sacrifice, or someone who cannot die to fulfill the requirement and survive. Since blood sacrifice isn't an option, I'm seeking an immortal. The Gray Seers told me Starlighter... my Gryphon, would lead me to an immortal willing to help. Your either that immortal, or I need to keep looking".

As she explains the situation Bellephoebe ponders, perhaps it might be best to travel to the dimension in question in the current time frame, see what condition it's in, and then see if she can figure out what desician was made, for it's survival or apocolyptic destruction so she knows what to do with Fakir.

If Fakir seems to be the wrong choice, perhaps she could do something like send an A-bomb back in time in her place and deal with the problem... and any remaining frozen demons, at the same time... nah... too much collateral damage of the people she's trying to prevent the sacrifice of anyway. Still, something along those lines might work.

It also occurs to Bellephoebe that perhaps Daryl wanted Fakir dead because he already did exactly that, but still double checking is the right thing to do.

Narrator: Looking at the current condition of Fallen Empire might not be as revealing as it could be. Bellephoebe already knows there are only a couple survivors from that world. Visiting in the present might tell Bellephoebe that everything turns out well... but in that case, why return at all? Preventing the blood sacrifice might end up changing the happy future.

But, if the world was a wasteland, that would only tell Bellephoebe that Fakir failed. Perhaps the failure would be due to Bellephoebe, Aki and Jourdan not being there?

Time travel gets confusing....

Jourdan nods a greeting to each animal as Aki introduces them. "hello, Little ones. i am Jourdan, and that is Maya. She is my dearest friend." He chuckles at the antics of the animals. As The birds ask the important question, Jourdan turns to belle with a look of "now what?" on his face.

Jourdan is double checking his gear when he stops in midmove. "A HIGH MAGUS?!" He stops what he is doing and snaps to attention. "Ma'AM!! I apologize ma'am" He stands at attention while she finishes speaking.

Meanwhile his mind is trying to organize his thoughts as he was trained.((OCC)) He stammers in mild confusion."Immortal?" "Yes, i know that is something i have been called... Elves just live a long time." [b["Fakir?"[/b] ((3)...He clears his throat softly. "You need me to volunteer for some ritual that will allows you to time travel? Requires someone who cannot die to fulfill the requirement, i believe is how it was said." He holds his hand up in the universal sign for "Hang on a minute".

"Let me get this right. You want me to "sacrifice" myself to open a portal to another time so you can help fakir do the right thing? and hope it all works?" He closes his eyes and when they, they are full of mishcief, clouded by excitement... almost like a child... "right or not, I am in. That sounds like fun." You all notice thatrt Jourdan is still young, even by humans ages. He is approx late tens based on his manner and speech.

Jourdan is able to recall the Laurelbrights are a rich family in Dweamor, he probably wouldn't know Bellephoebe personally.

As for Fakir, the ritual, and the reason for immortaliry, he wouldn't know any of those things off the bat. He would have to ask questions about them.

Jourdan does a double take as he recognizes the name. "Laurelbright!!' He gives the formal elven greeting. "I apologize. i didnt recognize you as i didnt know you were a high magus. i am yours to command." ((OOC: i assume he is grunt to Belle being LT??)) "I beg your pardon.. but why exactly am i needed?/ can you actually exlain what i need to do/"

Aki watches he two of them chatter back and forth. the fact they continue with each other, tells her just what she needs to know. she makes her mind up that once the vaccine is delivered, she will simply walk out the doors and not return. that is her place, in the wilds with her siblings.

*people confuse her and seem to constantly make charges for leadership among each other. she sees it happening again. the one in charge is the owner of these Gryphons, but its clear that her usefulness isn't really needed. her mind is made up. she gave her word to return the vaccine, but after that, she did not give her word to help further.

*she nods to herself as she makes her final decision. she knows that her friends will be happier there too. hunting and foraging for themselves once again. there should be time to go find a safe cave or two to set up as a homebase while looking for and preparing a better home for them all

*once the siblings have eaten their snacks, she chitters and hte mongoose shakes once and clambers into the carry sack and chirps back then ducks out of sight. the lynx stands up against her and is hoisted and carried like a child and she mounts the second Gryphon and settles and gets the nearly grown kit settles on the lap for another flight. btween the three of them, they barely weigh more than one person

"Yes, that's about the gist of it, and your not required to do this. I'm still on Sojourn and this isn't anything directly related to Dweamor. I asked the Lords Of Magic about it given the scope of events and power levels involved, and they seemed fairly ambivilent about the whole matter.

When it comes to the time travel ritual, I'm guessing I need to cast it with you as the focus, it's going to try and drain your life force, and fail. I have yet to actually use the spell.

If your willing to help I suppose we should get going to make preparations. I should probably make some talismans and a PPE battery for you at the very least."

(( OOC-> Albatross will have to fill in details on the spell and it's specifics since I don't think it's one written in the books. As far as a High Magus goes, I don't think it follows anything close to a current military order. The Battle Magus have their own system of ranks and vastly outnumber the Lord Magus and High Magus. The Lord Magus generally command the Battle Magus in the field and the High Magus are more in charge of grand strategy, planning, fortifications, and things like that, and are the most rare of the orders. It makes mention of Battle Magus and such sacrificing themselves for High Magus and so on given their role, the High Magus also being the only type of Magus allowed to pilot the Colossus Automaton, and the ones who create and bind the Battle Magus controllers to their Automatons. It's been a while since I read up on the nuts and bolts of it, though I remember the exact details of the command structures being fairly vague. In a traditional sense Belle would be equivilent to something more like a general, the Lord Magus which is also a "general" type role taking a role more akin to the officiers, but at the same time the Battle Magus do have their own officers and such as I understand as there are lots and lots of them". ))

(I think we covered Bellephoebe's equipment earlier, if Jourdan needs anything, post and equipment list and it is likely that either Bellephoebe or Fakir can provide it).

Once all the preparations have been made, Bellephoebe, Aki, Jourdan and animal friends are able to teleport to Tanis Six where they find bunny girl sentries waiting for them. A short time travel spell and they are back in time to when the battle with the demons ended.

Fakir smiles broadly, "You brought another volunteer! Wonderful." Everyone is boarding the big ship for the journey to Fallen Empire. In addition to Sapphire, Tesla, and Jourdan, Fakir has found two other immortals, an associate named Malone and a young looking woman wearing hooded robes but her hands are covered with scars. For his part, Talon has brought three immortals. A hideous wolfen (PB 4), a weak looking elven noble, and a pious looking old woman whose merry eyes twinkle from her wrinkled face.

Aboard the ship the craft opens a portal and flies through to the Fallen Empire dimension. Once there, overlooking a vast ruined plain, the ship moves through time stopping in an earlier era when farmers fields bordered a shelf of rock.
