Kassidy offers a confident smile to the sergeant, then nods. "We will, you can count on it." she replies, more than ready to do what needs to be done. As Fegh heads up to meet the Captain, Kass follows him, taking a look around the loading bay with a great deal of curiosity.

Balus turned to see what Krystal was doing, arching a brow," You think she's like you ?" He looked back to Treena, " Krystal needs light for nourishment. Food makes her sick too, but then hospital food makes everyone sick."

Krystal opens the blinds, the light of the sunset pooring in. Treena's crystal body glistens in the light, and she smiles. "That feels much better."
But then the two of you start to smell something burning. Krystal is the first to notice it - like a prism, Treena's body reflects light, but also focuses it. A pencil beam of light is burning right through Balus' shirt (not that he notices or feels the heat). There are a few other pinpoints of light, slowly burning other parts of the room.
Fegh and Kassidy find the Captain who is talking to a civilian police officer. "Alright, very well. I'll see if I can spare -ah, perfect." He looks at Fegh. "Lt. Fegh, you and your associate are going to be seconded to the Civilian police for the evening to assist in crowd control in Victory Gardens. It appears there is some trouble in the region and the police have asked for any off-duty personell to help. I trust there will be no problem?"

Krystal noticing the beam decides to keep the window blinds open knowing that Balus and her are both safe and mainly keeps an eye worried about all rest in the area and any equipment. To that end if there is any energy in her forcefield she throws it up to block those that are vulnerable to whatever energy she is putting out.

"Smart thinking Krystal." Balus said with a smile, not noticing his shirt burning. "What's that... do you smell something burning? Nurses must be making toast or something... Treena, is there anything we can get for you?"

Kassidy offers the Captain a very un-practiced salute, then nods. "I'm here to help out sir, so whatever needs doing." she replies. " Is this a situation where I will need my armor?" the young woman then asks, never having had to deal with crowd control before.

Fegh says to the Captain, "it is not a problem sir, however she is technically a civilian while on planet. Will that status cause issues with the police force?" Fegh takes no consideration to the fact that the woman is there and she may be offended, he is simply stating a fact that he feels may be a cause for concern.

The Captain smiles and then looks to the police officer, a Bio-freak Talus male. "Captain Leenik, will that be a problem?"
"Nah, we don't discriminate." The legendary Skrayper known as Spike Tail smiles. "Get your gear - the van's parked out front. You got 5 minutes."
Treena shakes her head. "Just keep the window open please. I'm feeling much - Oh! Bal! You're on fire!"

"Huh?" Balus said in suprise, standing up to look at himself. He quickly patted out the whole smoldered in his shirt."It's no big deal." He changed the subject, " Once they let you out of here and you get a chance to learn how to control your abilities, you'll be fine. Just like I had to when I kept growing and turning into a big lummox." He grinned, offering his hand yo Krystal to get her to rejoin the conversation. " anyways, I've got some news for you. What do you think of Krystal being around with me alot more? I've kinda fallen for her" he smiled widely, his attention turning between the two to gauge reactions.

Krystal hears what he is saying and it almost catches her off guard especially considering how weary she is and almost causes her to drop her shield. She does manage to catch herself though, and starts to blush especially after hearing the part that he kinda has fallen for her. That being something he never thought would have happened at all. Out of stunned silence and curiosity she offers her hand ans waits to hear exactly what is the next step as in her mind she has no idea if it is as they say to go steady, to move in or marriage. Even her tomboy lifestyle the little girl cries for any and all. She would not even care if they skipped over all of them.
Still as she over analyzes what he could be talking about she does stammer out, "Ne-ne-news?"

" I mean us. I hadn't told anyone yet." Balus replied, his smile fading slowly as he noticed Krystal's hesitation. " I mean..... I thought..... Oh crap." He let Krystal's hand fall out of his and he swallowed hard. " You.. you don't feel the same way, do you? Cripes, I should of asked. I'm such a big goon, how could I be so stupid?"

"B-b-but I do feel the same way. I think. I know. I mean." She stammers her answer out trying to focus on the now and how she screwed up possibly. She then realizes there is only one answer as she jumps up using her flight and gives Balus a kiss on the lips the best she can. Waiting to see if he returns it.

Balus was so confused, it took him a moment to realize what was going on. coming to his senses, he gently wrapped his massive arms around Krystal as he returned the kiss. After holding it for a moment, he broke away to say with a smile," I'm glad."

Kassidy offers them both a salute that is not quite perfect, then quickly heads off to find her own gear; she knows she can get into the armor and set up in less than 5 minutes, but it will still be running the star-up diagnostics for a few minutes beyond that. Still, thats not a big deal to her, as she can at least move about while it is doing that.
Approximiately 6 minutes later, she returns, fully armored. "Ready, sir!"
