Avery, your telepathic scan reveals that the masked man is in fact Rex, the man you met earlier today.

After the seventh time he has walked into a tree that he somehow failed to notice, the Dark Rider seriously contemplates sitting this one out. Maybe he has been up too long already this day.

Vivan tries to make it sound like she's not bragging but doesn't completely succeed. The Scarecrow will cast invisibility and just step into the corn field. If he's getting ready to fire (and the Scarecrow saw him first) he figures the guy will probably not be able to hit something that he can't see in the dark through soft cover (the corn). If he's wrong, well he can heal himself after he vanishes but he still doesn't like being shot.

Scarecrow, you manage to evade the man who shot where you were, and are happy to over hear his "where did he-? What the?"
Vivian, as DR and Steelfist bumble through the brush, you catch sight of a lone rifleman drawing a bead on Lex.

The bouncers eye both of you - they clearly want you to leave and stop drawing attention to their establishment.

Vivian's eyes widen in alarm when she sees the rifleman drawing a bead on Lex. 'Oh no!' she thinks to herself. She draws an arrow with an explosive head and gets ready to take a shot, aiming for beside the man, hoping to make him miss his shot and discourage him from taking another one and will alert Lex as to what is going on.

Avery gives a wide smile, "Ahh, I see your eccentric dress is getting you into trouble again. You really should try and keep a low profile, especially around these types of places."
He walks around the bouncer towards Rex, "I think something to eat sounds about right after a couple good drinks. I think we have a lot to discuss. Recommend a place?"
He walks away from the speakeasy with Rex.

(Vivian, Steel Fist, Scarecrow, and Dark Rider)
Vivian's arrow explodes perfectly, knocking out the would-be shooter. However, from another part of the field, the three of you can hear gunshots ringing through the air.
Scarecrow, in addition to the sound of the guy shooting blindly at you, you hear a loud "pop" sound that sounds sort of like a grenade.

You are on the streetside outside the speakeasy.

The Rider hesitates a moment - the explosion, or the gunshots. Then he remembers the strange-looking arrow the girl had shown him.
Drawing his twin Colt Peacemakers, he starts off towards the explosion, deciding that if his allies need help, he'd better provide it -- and that if Steel Fist is where the gunshots come from, he can probably take better care of himself than the Arrow Girl.

Hearing the telltale explosion of his workmanship, Lex knew vivian had foound trouble. He retraced his steps to find her, thinking Rider could handle himself with whoever was shooting.
