The change having been made, Socrates noted to the cats they should not leave the camp. Lest there be more, or ssomething worse looking to profit.
The dog boy then made his way to the perimeter, instinctively staying downwind, to see what it is.

Tori paid Socrates order no heed, and was about to sack out for the night when she heard the shuffling.
She gestured for Janxi to move around behind whatever it was. She wasn't about to light up the entire swamp over a wild pig rooting around. To get a better look, she slipped on her helmet and engaged the thermals, then with cautious-cat style, got low and crept towards the target, rifle in hand. Whatever it was, it was neither afraid, or an ambush predator. Everything about it said "pig" or whatever passed for pigs in the Dinosaur Swamp. She gestured for Sam and Socrates to get down and back her up in case it was trouble...

Socrates couldn't see it, but there was definitely a pig of some sort making it's way towards the camp.
With her thermals, Tori could see it was a pig. The biggest, ugliest razorback she had ever seen, easily over 400lbs.

Sam looks through her things and grabs a blanket and draps it over Shep, in an attempt to help him retain heat. She then tries to find a place that isn't completely uncomfortable and sits, looking around her, not sure if she'd be able to sleep with everything that had happened.

"Hog. No one spook it and we'll let it pass..." she mumbled into her mic. Part of her wanted to dash out and kill it. Fresh meat was fresh meat. The problem was butchering a carcass and saving meat at night, when other predators hunted. They would smell blood and gore along with scavengers, meaning a pig would be the least of their worries. They could be mean, especially if cornered or defending young. They didn't on the other hand, seek challenges or hunt larger animals for food.
She kept her body between the pig and the rest of the team. If lucky, it would smell cats and a dog, and decide to avoid confrontation. At worst, Shep's snoring would either spook it or sound like a mating call. If the pig came any closer, she would rustle slightly, or snap a twig, to give it that moment of fear, triggering, hopefully, a flight reaction. In the mean time, her stomach rumbled, thinking of fresh smoked pork, ribs, porkchops, bacon....
Actions: Remain hidden and vigilant, make a small sound, if the pig approaches her closer. Remain positioned between the hog and the team.

"Copy, T. Moving around to buffer team."
Janxi moved around to Tori's side, to keep the pig from the team with the sound of a few broken twigs, or a few fragrant and audible exhalations, read "lion snorts" at just the right time.
Most scavengers feared predators. As long as they were not cornered, and their offspring threatened, the omnivore would retreat. At the top of the food chain, Janxi thought like a predator, and knew something like a hog was a Pied Piper for other predators, like velociraptor or five. She checked the pig's six for signs of worse trouble, and waited in the bush until it cleared the area. No attack from the pig, no attracting hungry dinos. She thought of marking her territory as a lioness would, but couldn't give Socrates the satisfaction of watching her brush up on, and squatting near trees. Instead, she just watched, not exactly hiding, but letting the dumb animal know it was getting stalked...

With a 'SNORT' everyone could hear, the boar slowed it's approach and began to give a wide berth as it snorted and grunted, and kept moving slowly

Socrates stopped moving when he was certain the pig would stay upwind of him. And he thus kept watch.

Tori gave a small snort that would only be heard by Jan and the pig. She didn't want to squeeze the pig into a fight, but on the other hand, was glad to see it understood discretion was the better part of valor. Letting it know the real estate was full of hunters was by no means a bad play.
"Piggy leaving the AO. Shagcats falling out for sack drill. Hooyah."
At that, she made her current hiding place into a bed. A cat could sleep curled around a cactus or in the midst of a briar patch. To a human, her positioning splayed across branches, forks brush and weeds seemed uncomfortable, but to a shagcat, it was an ergonomic bed. She was out within seconds, exhausted from the long day.

Janxi's stomach gave a small rumble. To her, the pig would have made for a nice hunt and a few good meals, but it was hardly the time to hunt. Satisfied it was leaving, she did much like Tori and made her hiding place into a bed. Soon, she was out cold, fast asleep with a gentle purr.

Sam nods and walks around a bit her rifle slung over her shoulder, staying close to camp as she watches out for any sign of trouble. As she does, Sam can't help but wonder where Tim and his squad are and hopes they are ok.

The rest of the night passed, something had crashed through the swamp not far away, but nothing came near the small encampment. Shep had woke early and releived Sam, looking worn out still even though rested, and Jin had taken Socrates place. out of curtousy.
When dawn broke, the swamp forest came to life. Shep had coffee brewed for the others once they came to, but he and Jin had moved off to check something out, though still in sight of the others. Of course his helmet lay next to the brewing coffee.

The small cat awoke with gratuitous stretching, a series of large yawns, and a show of preening just because that's how cats operated. One did not start a day "dirty." She rifled through her ruck-sack and produced a toothbrush and some Colgate. Immediately, the put these items to work, brushing her teeth for about 5 minutes. Shagcats considered teeth to be a primary weapon, and spent time making sure they were clean and in good working order.
She grabbed her rifle and helmet, before pulling her boonie onto her head and shades onto her face. Then, she headed over to Shep, tail-tip swishing. "Fresh hot November Juliet? You've been holding out!" She pulled her cup from her mess kit and filled it quickly before taking a sip.
"Now that's a damn good cuppa joe..." She kept an eye on Jin, but felt like he could handle whatever there was to handle.
"What's the drill today, skipper?" she asked of Sam as she worked her way to the bottom of her cup.

Socrates sat, meditating while the others indulged in the coffee. He never actually drank it, so it was just an additional smell.
Otherwise, he stretched out with his senses to see if he could track Jin.
