"Ok!" Krystal says trying to sound as confident as possible when in reality she is scared that she will not be able to do what Balus asks. She does still prepare for the go by focusing on the body that is the bomber.

Krystal, you can make out the deadman switch, but the wires run down the sleeves of his coat and you don't think you can isolate the switch from the body, and as you try to create a field, you find you can't do a geometry complex enough to coat his body, you'll have to make it a big bubble, and not only will that give you away, but it may not be strong enough.

"Balus I don't think I can isolate this enough to pull it off and I also don't think I can produce a powerful enough bubble to hold in the explosion. I can try, but not sure how long it would hold. I might have another idea but I do not know how dangerous it would be. I might be able to create a cylinder that might channel the explosion. Or I can fire a cold blast that might numb him enough to throw the bomber away, or buy enough time to escape. That is about all I can do other then direct damage!" She feels she has failed being still too weak from the last bomb going off. "If some time can be bought I might be able to renergize my forcefield but that will take hours! I mean standoffs like this can last hours right if not days?"

"Yeah, they can" Balus nodded, a little glum for being impetuous. " I should have thought of all that." He scratched his head, then said," What if we offered him a trade? He lets the other hostages go in exchange for the face of the military's recruitment posters. And if he detonates, it won't hurt me."

"I'll give you two hostages." The Man picks a woman and her infant child and shoves them into Fegh's arms. "Now, you go get started."
(GM NOTE: Fegh will have to get closer to Balus and Krystal to hear their plans)

Fegh motions to the two hostages, and the nearest "normal" soldier to help escort them away.
He says to the man, "I have a question. You were part of a group of bombers, yet you seem to be the only one that took hostages. Taking hostages wasn't part of the mission, was it? You were supposed to detonate, like the others did. Yet you realized that there had to be a better solution. I am offering you yet another, deactivate your vest and surrender yourself, then your demands can be heard. You can be the hero of your cause that instead of taking lives, spared them so that all would know that cause is just," he says extending his hand toward he bomber palm up.

"To be honest I am not sure at all. " Krystal responds to Balus while thinking perhaps there would be another way. Only that it is too bad she has some signs that she is a bio freak otherwise she would step up to the plate and talk to him. Still her hair and eyes might not be that noticeable and possibly be passed off hair dye and contacts. "Maybe I could go tell him?"

Balus said softly in suprise as he slumped back against the cover they were using, assuming the bomber was referring to him since his face was on recruitment posters all over the city," What could I have done that would make him threaten to blow himself up just for seeing me?" He didn't realize how obvious it was as he began to doubt himself.

Krystal also starts spiralling down in self doubt since Balus seemed to ignore her and not even sure she can do what is needed. Not sure if Balus acknowledged her weakened state, but prepared in the end to try, even if it kills her. She still plans just in case to throw a cold bolt at him hoping it will slow him down before throwing up the field.

Fegh says to the bomber, "I will have to step over to my people to get them working on your demands."
He walks over toward Balus and Krystal and says in a low voice, "all right I need options. His demands are unreasonable however I need to fulfill his most basic to extend our time. I need ideas for ending this standoff."
(OOC: what would have been his most simplistic or easiest demand? Did he ask for food? water?)

Fegh returns to Balus, Krystal and the other soldiers. A rifleman whispers. "I have a shot, but that vest is primed to blow already, sir. No way to make the shot without triggering it. Orders."
(OOC: Yes he asked for food, and immediate audiences with the Chairman of the Assembly)
