Dante and Bel's Wedding

[Dome]

Dante smiles as they head for the limo's. He hates dressing in a tux because of his past, however since he is going to marry the woman he is in love with.

He can't wait until the wedding is all over and he and Bel can start their life together even though it will be almost the same as they are living now.

[dakota]

"My friend, " Khris patted Dante on the back," you smile any more, and someone will mistake you for the chesire cat." He chuckled as he waited to let the groom get in first.

[Dome]

Dante can't stifle the smile. He says, "the only thing that can make it better is if we all got to go enjoy our lives after this, not go and try to stop some unstoppable demons," the smile gone as he finishes his statement recalling what lays before them.

After a short ride, they arrive at a beautiful wedding chapel. Stone walls, flowers, and gardens adorn the small, out of the way castle. From inside a string quartet, an organist and a piano player can be heard warming up.

As Bel steps out in her long white dress, four old women in grey step out to meet her. All four of them must be past sixty. Yet they step forward with an active pace. They embrace Bel, who tears up at the sight of them and they exchange grettings in French. Then each of the women introduces themselves to Dante and then to everyone else. Their handshakes are the calloused grip of warriors and Marv, Tiger and Roan treat the sturdy old women with respect.

"These were my teachers, " Bel says to Dante. "But I'm not sure how they got here..." Tiger smiles, "Someone has to give you away, and I already called maid of honor. Besides, the priestess conducting the ceremony shouldn't be a stranger." Bel gives Tiger and whispers a thank you.

Rock, Marv and Lt take their place as ushers and offer to escort the ladies inside, though their is still a moment or two to talk.

After the introductions, Khris could help but smirk," Thank god. Last wedding I was to in Vegas, Elvis was the priest."

"I have never been to a wedding, and don't think I will ever have one myself. There is no chance for that in my line of work after all. And no one of interest." Akane says allowed even if no one is around to hear her. Still she is prepared for the event that is to come at hand.

*lowers the glasses to look at Akane. then they close and she shakes the head as she pushes them back up. 'know what you mean. i prefer to build things than deal with people. people will lie, given enough time. human glitch factor can't be altered. jeez i feel strange in this. just glad i'm wearing my boots'

*she yawns and closes the eyes while the drive continues, her mind already working thru some problems back at the plane 'lord i wish i could cross my legs . . ' *hikes the material up and crosses the ankles instead as she dozes the rest of the way. 'oh . . sorry, i think i was supposed to bring the couple a present. i don't do that either, unless you want a couple of rings out of tungston steel [think that's the spelling]. even that would be a bit of a wait

"You are supposed to bring presents to these events? Wow who knew." With that Akane gets up and walks to wherever she stashed her bag to see if she has anything that could be used as a present quickly. Upon returning she brings with her the only possession worth having as a gift and that is her silver brush. "I guess we can both give this as a gift." She proffers as a suggestion.

The ceremony itself is brief and informal. One of the elderly nuns presides over the ceremony. Kris stands as the best man, escorting Tiger as the maid of honor. Jeckle stands opposite the Lt. Akane stands opposite Rock. Bel is walked down the aisle by her old teacher, with Dancer and Peacemaker as flower girls.

The old nun has a swiss-french accent and her short speech focuses on Corinthians 13. Once the short ceremony concludes she pronounces Dante and Bel man and wife and says they may kiss, which Bel does with passionate feeling.

Outside the wedding chapel, a Dornier Seastar sits waiting to take them to a Carribean resort. It looks brand new and has temporary wedding decorations announcing they are just married. Tiger hands Bel the keys, apparently she got them a plane. "The vacarion getaway is from me and Kris, but I figured you'd need a good way to get there."

*tosses he confetti in her hand in the air with a simple 'whee . . . bon voyage, hasta la vista, avrev adirchi [no clue how its spelled =p] . . have a safe trip and all that jazz. catch you on the flip side'

*she then moves tohe sidewalk to the side and looks at the sky and wonders how much work she can squeeze into what remains of the day. maybe another 8 hours and then sleep for a few before the others show up.

*she knowingly removes herself from the 'catching the boquet' range and is ready to vanish to change and head back to work

[Dome]

Dante is so happy and thankful to everyone in attendance. He continually thanks everyone and smiles, especially when they tell them about the Caribbean Island.

He looks at Tiger, "thank you so much for arranging all of this you are amazing. Really. When do you need us back boss?"

Akane is just thankful that the ordeal she just went through is finally finished and to get back to the tasks at hand. She does not take part in the confetti or the bouquet as both she thinks are antiquated ceremonies in her mind.

Khris merely smiled, standing beside Tiger. " Go and have fun. Forget about everything else for a few days. We know how to reach you when we need you, right Tigger?"

[albatross]

"Is a week enough?" Tiger asks. Bel pushes the bouquet into her hands seeing Akane and Jeckle turn away.

Bel looks at Dante and shakes her head, "Not really, but its not like we'll be apart when we come back. What do you think Dante?"

[Dome]

"We'll be back in a week," Dante says to Tiger. Then to Bel, "we'll always be together now, my love."
