Alice gives her grandmother a warning look as she says flatly, "No, it didn't screw up the visit. It was a simple misunderstanding as we explained earlier." Looking back at Jason, her expression softens as she says "You couldn't have anticipated this happening, so don't beat yourself up."

Jason gave Alice'sgrandmother the same defeated look she had seen him give Tyson. " Fine, it's all my fault. I... gotta make another call, if it's okay?"
"Of course Jason." Alice's mother nodded.
As Jason returned to the kitchen, mom and dad both scowled at Alexandra, but dad spoke first," You don't have to make the boy seem so unwelcome."
Mom turned to Alice, " We understand if you want to go home, Allie. This Trevor must be a much closer friend the way the two of you are letting on. Your father and I planned on suprising you by coming to visit the end of next month anyways, so we can come see you. This was just a bonus trip to get to meet Jason," she gave Alice a hug," and we're grateful for that."

Alice isn't happy with her grandmother as she says, "This is not Jason's fault and you know that." Standing up, Alice smiles weakly and nods, "Trevor and I have had our differences, but if I can help him, I will." When she hears about the upcoming visit, Alice says, "I would like that. I can show you around the school and town." Alice returns her mother's hug "I'll be right back." Alice then heads into the kitchen to see how Jason is doing.

Alice found Jason on the phone, scowling," Yeah we called Dylin first. but he downplayed things like all politicians do. What's really happening?"
Alice could hear Janie's voice, but couldn't quite make out what she was saying.
" Jason's look became grimmer. " Okay Janie, looks like we might be cutting vacation short and be home in time to see you and Dmitri off." He looked at Alice as he said it. " I hoped things would quiet without us. " He looked at Alice and his expression changed to apologetic. " We'll call from the air so someone can pick us up . Don't tell Isamu, we don't need him thinking he can't handle things."
This time Alice made out the " Ok, bye," before Jason hung up. " I'm sorry Alice, this isn't what I wanted to happen. Is is out trying to bring Trevor in before the cops can, Ashley is out of control locked in the basement and just tried to dice up l the new girl and Deci left and has gone off the grid."

Alice nods as she takes Jason's hand. "I know you didn't want this. Please don't listen to Grams. This is not your fault. I never thought things would go to hell when we left." Alice squeezes Jason's hand and sighs. "I guess we should pack. How soon can we get a flight back to the States?"

"They won't give us that over the phone, and I really don't want to call Mac back." Jason said as he used Alice's grip to draw her tight to him," Guess I'll have to go to the US embassy to find out, unless you want to fly commercial? And your grandmother ..., I just don't want to start anything, so I just take her abuse. If I let her think she's getting to me, she drops it pretty quick. Works on Tyler too."

Alice hugs Jason as she nods. "Yeah, we can go to the Embassy though if we have to wait more than a day or so we should consider flying commercially. I think we should try to get back ASAP given what seems to be going on.". Alice shakes her head as she says quietly "Hopefully we can do something to help." Alice smirks when Jason tells her how he deals with her grandmother and says "Well, now you know my dad likes you since he was sticking up for you just now."

"Cool" Jason saidas he let Alice go and pulled out his wallet to dig out a business card from it. " I think they all like me, your grandmother just enjoys busting my balls. thats okay, I know someone who's good as healing them." He grinned as he started to dial one of the numbers on it.

Alice smirks at Jason and shakes her head at him, not really looking upset. She pokes Jason lightly on the arm and jokes, "Smartass." Alice then pours herself another cup of tea and waits for Jason to finish with his phone call.

The Jason Alice listened to on the phone wasn't the Jason she was used to. He was direct, almost forceful in his tone as he rattled off clearance codes and security passwords as he worked his way through various levels of clearance. He gave the impression that this was what he had been like when he had been contracted to do the government's dirty work, sounding cold and calculating as he forced himself to dig up the past. After twenty minutes, he looked at alice with a grin while holding his hand over the receiver," Do you want a Lear to ourselves at six or wait for a military transport full of Rangers at eleven?" He had slipped back into his normal tone " up to you."

Alice is a little surprised, but not completely. After all, in order for Jason to do the things he had done in the past, he wold have needed to be cold and calculating. Thinking over his question, Alice says, "We should take the earlier plane. I think we need to get there quickly."

Jason nodded, and passed the decision on to whoever was on the other end of the line. He hung up and slipped back into the man Alice knew," That's done." He looked at his watch, " we've got about three hours before we need to get to the jetport. I hink we should spend it here, unless there was something you really wanted to do before going back to Miami?"

Alice shakes her head and smiles. "No," she replies "I figure we should pack now and then we can spend the rest of our time here before leaving to go to the jetport."

Jason mused to himself, his eyebrows raising twice as a smirk formed," She wants the private flight. Mile high club, here we come," he chuckled. " Let's go get packed up then." He made a herding motion with his arms towards the back door.
