Issue 10: Tokyo Calling

[Dome]

"Foggy, don't believe everything you see on tv. Cap would prefer that every hero joins up with his group and becomes one big happy family. I've worked with other heroes from time to time. I never saw the need to permanently join up. I told him I would work with him but wouldn't join up." DD shrugs, "he sent me home. I think he likes things his way or no way."

[dakota]

Tabitha had chuckled at the Cap impression, but didn't bother telling Gambit he did a poor imitation. Getting into the car, she took a long look at the radio, wondering why she wasn't supposed to touch it. "So what happens, I push the wrong button and the ejection seat engages?"

[Renekin Skywalker]

"Flamethrower." Gambit says, correcting her. And, off they go. Figure Gambit will push the driving just enough to give Tabby a thrill, but not so much to really cause a problem. No need to draw too much attention to themselves.

Otherwise, he'll drive to, and park near the Avenger's mansion, with an eye to sneaking in and... borrowing a Quinjet.

(Daredevil)

Foggy's voice changes to a mocking version of the tone he uses in the courtroom. "Objection! Mr. Murdock is leading the jury!" he chuckles slightly. "Hey, I get it, buddy. You like your independence, which is one of the reasons we're a firm that has to check our balance sheet whenever we need to buy stationery instead of playing with the big boys in partnerships and raking in money like, well lawyers." He uses both hands to sip his coffee. "Still, I have to admit I wouldn't mind stealing some of the Avengers' business from Walters. Oh, and could you imagine how easy those cases would be?" He goes back into that practiced tone. "Your honor, we advise that all charges be dismissed on account of our client being Captain frickin' America."

Foggy finishes his donut. "So...that's a Japanese note on your desk...does that mean what I think it does?"

(Ghostsabre and Gambit)

You have to pay a truly ridiculous parking fee for downtown NYC, but you manage to put the car away in a lot that at least is in the same zipcode as the Mansion as you walk towards it on foot.

(Aura)

"I'll take you to the archives, Tally." Songbird smiles as she leads Tally down one of the richly decorated halls of the mansion to a rather incongruous sight - a huge bank of super-advanced computers, including a giant sized monitor screen. "We'll use my access codes for today until we get you your own. " She types in the keyboards and offers you a seat. "Here, go ahead." She pulls up a chair so she can sit beside you.

(You can roll computer operations - if successful, you'll pull up info and records on Crystal and Ronan equivalent to their Marvel Wiki entries).

(Spider-Man)

Steve smiles. "Glad to have you with us, Peter." as he shakes your hand. You hear his beeper go off as he reaches for it and looks it over. An unusually flustered look appears on his face, but he covers it well. "Uhm...it appears I have to go shortly. I don't suppose you have any business uptown and would need a lift? Otherwise I'll have to leave you with Hawkeye for the rest of the morning."

(Getting uptown could get you close to MJ's shoot and you could bring her lunch...or something)

[Dome]

DD shakes his head at Foggy, "its not like that. Its some other business. Not actually for me although I may need to look into it since I couldn't reach who the message was intended for. Do we have anything pressing right now? Any cases on the schedule?"

[HSummers]

Spider-Man looks at Captain America with a bewildered look on his face. "Did you just present hanging out with Hawkeye as an option? I'll take the uptown train please!" He pulls his mask back on and follows Captain America.

[dakota]

Tabitha was a bit confused as they walked," Why did you leave the car back there instead of going straight to their base? Wouldn't that be easier?"

[Renekin Skywalker]

"Easier does not guarantee a ride." Gambit says. "You can go straight through the front door, if you want."

[sasqaricious]

Tally takes a look at the screen and then looks keyboard and then looks to Melissa. Realizing she has no exposure to using a computer she leans over whispering in her Melissa's ear. "I am sorry but I don't know how to really work a computer. X-eeee did not have time to show me much since our time together, and a computer was not one of those things. Would you be able to show me?"

(Daredevil)

"Nothing I can't handle, Matt." Foggy responds. "You thinking of booking a red-eye flight?"

(Ghostsabre and Gambit)

You reach the 15 foot brick wall that separates Avengers Mansion's grounds from the rest of New York. Passing by the front gates, you see various film crews and reporters packing up and leaving as the podium is being disassembled.

(Aura)

Songbird nods. "Sure, I can teach you." She helps bring up the data on Crystal, which includes quite a few videos of her actions as a member of the Avengers and her time with the Fantastic Four. "Don't worry, I wasn't much into computers myself until ...a friend taught me."

(Spider-Man)

"I'll be going in civvies, and so should you - Jarvis can show you to a change room and then bring you down to the garage when you're ready, Mr. Parker. See you in five minutes." Cap walks out to the hall and says to Hawkeye. "Spider-Man and I have some business uptown - you're in charge until I get back."

"You had me at "I'm in charge". Have a good one, old-timer." Hawkeye shoots back. "Don't worry, Br'er Hawkeye will keep everything looking good for you."

Cap simply shakes his head and sighs as he walks off.

[Renekin Skywalker]

"I think the front door afterall, eh cherie?" Gambit says, grinning, leading Tabby around the front, making his way to the main gate, past the reports, walking in neither a overt nor shadey manner.

[HSummers]

Spider-Man has Jarvis show him to the change room and puts all of his gear in a brown backpack before slinging his camera around his neck. "Alright, Jarvis. One Peter Parker ready for transport." He heads to the garage to meet up with Captain America.

[sasqaricious]

Tally looks up at the screen in rapture at seeing what her mother looked like for the first time. "That is what my mother looked like?" She stops and looks at her skin noticing it is blue compared to the female on the screen before her. "Are you sure that is my mother, because something seems wrong then!"

[dakota]

Tabitha shook her head at Gambit. " You change your mind way too much, Remy. If you're smart you just let Rogue make important decisions for you." she smirked. " By the way, who's going to be mad at you for borrowing their car and hiding it downtown anyways?"

(Aura)

"That's probably your father's genetic make up there." Songbird cautiously adds as she switches to Ronan's information and reel. You notice that whereas Crystal was one of Earth's heroes, Ronan fought them more often than not.

(Gambit and Ghostsabre)

You reach the front door to find Jarvis, the Avengers' butler open the front door. "This way, Mr. LeBeau and ...I'm afraid we don't have a file on you, young lady. Master Hawkeye will see you in the main lounge."

(Daredevil and introducing....Wolverine)

Foggy is about say something else when Daredevil's hyperactive senses pick up Wolverine's scent in the office lobby.

Wolverine (who knows DD's dual identity) listend to Sunfire's message, which in totality was:

"Logan-san - in the name of your late bethroed, Mariko, I require your help to come to Tokyo by any means necessary. The Hand has come under new leadership of a strange gaijin woman whom has turned the clan into mercenaries with some new diabolical scheme. All I am sure if is that the Clan Yashida is being pressured by the Hand and I require your assistance. Please see Mr. Matt Murdock, as he is arranging other help to come. Please, in the name of the honor of Clan, bring us whatever help you can."
