"We have arrived." Eleutheroi answers, as he pulls in. He seemed to be sounding a little more like himself.
In the guid, it looked like a full council meeting had been called. The 30-odd known members were there, as well as the whole of the Botufa family, Mierin (the bassist from the I Don't Knows), and a guy who was obviously a detective in plain clothes.
Moltavius Lockheart rushes up to Sarah as he arrives. "Are you OK? Why is the whole Guild here?"
Before Sarah can answer, Tobrias had taken centre stage and the Guild hall hushed. "You have been called here on a matter of some urgency." he says. "We have reason to believe a cult is summoning demons and is attached to the Old Ones." The newer members of the Guild looked stunned (they're all in their 60s or 50s... or look it) the older members, including Mr. Botufa senior all started with gasps then worried murmurs. But Tobrias waved his hands for silence. "Lt. Rozatonosky." he says, to the detective, "This is another matter that will recquire the assistance of the police. We will need to sweep the city as quickly and quietly as possible, to ensure the cult is captured in good time."
Lt. Rozatonosky, "I hope we can count on the same level of assistance you provided yesterday in the matter?" Tobrias nodded, and murmurs started again.

Sarah smiles softly and nods at her dad as she replies quietly "I'm ok, Dad, but it looks like we really have a situation on our hands here." Sarah glances around the room as the murmurs start up again and hopes that she's ready for what is about to come. (tag)

Coop was taken a bit by surprise by the Guild members reactions. " I know these Old Ones are bad, but everyone acts like they've never seen anything like this. No one's ever been stupid enough to worship them in the past?"

Moltavius looks over at Cooper. "These guys aren't some trendy god or other that the rich worship to feel like they belong somewhere." He says quietly. "The Old Ones kept a whole world in pain, horror and terror for what are suspected to be millions of years. The only way they could be stopped was by gods, mages and untold numbers of being warring against them and only being able to imprison them."
"Do we at least have an idea of the areas in the city we should focus on?" Rozatonosky asked Tobrias loud enough to be heard over the din, which quieted suddenly.
"We suspect, since they seem to want to affiliate with the old West Guild, they might be in the area. Likewise, we were aware of the pack of demons when they were in the West End." Tobrias answered. "On the police side, it would be best to identify the sorts of supplies needed, such as meats, and the like." He added.
"What about the City Council?" Rozatonosky, asked, "I lack the pull for this kind of dragnet on my own."
"I sit on the council, and have yet to play the full political clout warranted here. I will do what needs to be done." Tobrias says.
While Tobrias is speaking, the world fades out a little for Sarah, and she hears droning chants, of a half dozen or so male voices. She's in a entry hall, made of marble, floor-to-roof, with distinctive geometric tile and mosaic patterns. It is very clean and well-kept, but she felt that outside these halls was nothing special, very plain and crowded. After a second, she returns to the Guild meeting, and the discussions and offerings of help from the members. "... otaurs might be another place to look." Moltavius was finishing saying.
Coop, on the meanwhile, for some reason beyond simply putting 2 and 2 together about the West Guild affiliation, which seemed like a ruse, knows that Moltavius is half right. These aren't trendy gods... but whoever is involved is quite wealthy. He never left the room, but the discussions seemed to matter a little less.

Sarah frowns as she looks around the entry hall, listening as carefully as she can to the voices, hoping she might be able to recognize some of them as they chant.
Blinking as she realizes she's back with the others at the Guild, Sarah waits until Moltavius is done speaking before asking "What?" Looking a bit embarrassed, she adds "Sorry. I think I just had a vision or something. I was in an entry hall and I could hear voices chanting." Sarah describes what the entry hall looked like and asks everyone around her, "Does that sound familiar to anyone?" (tag)

The gathered members of the guild shake their head as she asks the ones nearest by. Soon, Rozatonosky catches on and waves everyone to be quiet. "Wait. Everyone quiet down. What's this about visions and marble halls?" Tobrias grins micheviously. "Wait... her? She's the Decree Slayer?" Rozatonosky gives Sarah a good 2 or 3 minute stare, clearly a tactical assessment. "Huh. I guess I just figured the Decree Slayer would be a man." He says.

Sarah can't help but smirk a little as she replies "Most guys do." She then repeats what she saw to Rozatonosky and asks "Does that familiar to you at all?" (tag)

Coop held his tongue so he would stop proving how little he knew about affairs like this, but something about Moltavuis' remark didn't sit right. Sarah having another vision did spur a response, and he asked low enough that most of the others wouldn't hear," Do you think this vision has anything to do with one we had at the movie theatre?" then he added, " I'm probably wrong, but do you think maybe the demons we chased down were only in the West End as a distraction to lure us away from the real threat to the city?"

Tobrias looks between Sarah and Cooper for a second, picking up on Coop's tone (Yes, he has good hearing), for once caught off guard. Then, the Guild master looked at Moltavius who simply shrugged and said "What? They're dating. They're bound to share some hobbies." The hall breaks out in a chuckle.
Well, except one man. An older human by the name of Larry. Larry Larilike (No, his parents love him dearly.) In his fifties, the man stands up, pointing recriminatingly at Coop. "What right has a Cooper to be here? You know the trouble they caused." Larry was well-known for his resentment of the Cooper family. Eleutheroi had once made some off-hand remark about a love triangle and Coop's father winning. "Don't know why you even involve the Decree Slayers. They're a dead line." He adds, grumbling.
Tobrias, however, turned suddenly, enough to make Larry Larilike recoil slightly. "I don't hear about anyone from the Larilike line getting visions from the city." He says cooly. "Now, unless you want to offer us useful information, or yourself as a suspect, please, make sure that seat stays warm." When Tobrias finished, Larilike sat down slowly, trying to retain any dignity he had left. Eleutheroi's arms seemed to relax, while the elf sat with his family.
Old man Botufa stood. "We will do what we can to help, Tobrias. You know this." As he finished, so did the rest of his family. Others stood, soon, as well, offering to help.
"Well, we have marching orders." Says Rozatonosky. "I will proceed on the marble lead, while you... doo..." he wiggles his fingers absently as he tries to find the word. "You do that magic thing."
Tobrias looks around. "If the Guild is in agreement, we are adjourned."
As the Guild members shuffle out, Larilike sends another icey glare at Coop. Moltavious chuckles. "This was nothing. You should have heard the uproar when Tobrias wanted to upgrade the library."

Coop had wanted to lash out at Larilike, but was glad Tobrias had beat hime to it. The last thing he needed was some old jerk trying to make him feel guilty. He hid the fact it had almost worked by forcing a smile and waving in response to Larilike's glare. Once most of the others we gone, he dropped the facade. " You know what? The worst part is he's right. I've got no business here at a meeting like this. I should have just went and did some more studying until this was done." He smirked slightly, glancing at Tobrias," Besides, all I ever do is stick my foot in my mouth by showing what a naive jock I really am, or provide a little comic relief. And on a good night like tonight, I can do both."

Sarah glares at Larilike, not bothering to hide her contempt for him. Shaking her head at Coop, she says quietly "That's not true. He is wrong. You are a part of the team, and you had the vision at the movie theatre too, so you should be here. Don't let asshats like him make you feel like you don't belong." Sarah hugs Coop and turns to Tobrias "So what should we be doing?" (tag)

"Yeah, I guess." Coop shrugged, not sounding convinced. He didn't know how Larilike had gotten to him so easily, and didn't expect it would be the last time they crossed paths. " His cheap shot at you didn't help my temper much either."

Sarah nods at Coop "I understand that." she replies in a gentle tone of voice. "I don't like it much either. But if we give him too much of a reaction, then he wins. And he's not worth it." Sarah slides her hand into Coop's and squeezes it softly. "Besides," she adds "we have more important things to worry about right now." (tag)

Coop closed his hand around Sarah's and drew her close. " I know. We have to find some cultist summoners first." He was about to kiss her when his eyes rolled up to meet Mr. Lockhart's and grinned. " Umm, this was almost a little awkward. Guess we'll have to wait until later."

Moltavius unlocked his arm. "Are you saying I don't think a Cooper's good enough for my daughter?" He says, chuckling. "Your family was damn clever. We didn't know it was going on until just before you met Sarah." Moltavius grins, knowing the whole story. "If anything, we need that clever mind, now. Sweetie, take our little renegade here to the Minotaur trading post tomorrow to see what they might know."
