Sarah's eyes widen as she listens to the Colonel. Taking a deep breath, she practically whispers, "What are they planning to do? They're using.." Sarah pauses "undersirables like the one I captured recently?" (tag)

(Coop)
(Not the movie theatre vision... the one during the big Guild meeting.) "No, she is fine." Tobrias answers, knowingly. "It was a wiser choice to send her on her own."
Eleutheroi nods. "She's also aware she's shadowed, so she won't be startled by accident."
Tobrias nods. "This will take getting used to for her. For you both." Tobrias looks over his shoulder to one of the Faqyde guards behind them. "Yes?"
The guard says something in Atlantean, which seems to concern Tobrias. "Thank-you." He says, in English. "Eleutheroi, you will need to get to the mall and find Sarah. Bring her here as soon as you can." He pauses, thinking. "Zachary, please, let us retire to the library, and look for Zéké's clients."
Without another word, Eleutheroi was gone from the room.
(Sarah) Holia nods somberly. "Those or similar, yes. The importers are unregistered, non-local contractors, though how they acheived their contract is unknown. They work within the city bounds, making them outside my direct sphere of influence. The height of command in the municipal heirarchy is unknown. I can give you no more information. Except, to be careful, I think you're being followed, ma'am."

Sarah nods quietly and says in a low tone of voice. "I understand. Thank you for coming to me with this information." Sarah will wait until Holia has left and then she will leave the store. If she runs into the clerk who helped her out, she'll smile and thank her for her help.
Once she's left the store, she'll start to head back to the Guild, keeping an eye out for any signs that she's being followed. (tag)

" Wait, if Sarah's in trouble I wanna go too!" Coop exclaimed as Eleutheroi left. He turned back to Tobrias and followed after him, a slight pleading in his tone," Look, I know El is good at this and I'm not, but do realize what your doing to me keeping me here when she needs helps? The books can wait, they aren't going anywheres."

(Coop) Tobrias was clearly unmoved by Coop's pleas. "You are an adult, Zachary." He says, waving him towards the Guilds's record stacks. "Please keep that in mind when I make decisions. They will be here shortly."
(Sarah) As Sarah's walking away, she see's Eleutheroi waving her to a back hall in the mall. When she gets there, Eleutheroi wasn't even looking at her as he grabs her arm. Within a thought, Sarah finds herself and Eleutheroi in the Guild's main entry hall. "They're in the library. No candlestick, though." He says, as if teleportation was a nothing thing.

Sarah looks around with a look of surprise on her face. "What's going on? Where did you come from? Who's in the library?" (tag)

" Fine," Coop groaned, keeping his temper in check. He walked away from Tobrias long enough to look for a site plan of the city. Finally finding the right book, he sputtered," Wouldn't it be easier to have access to the city's records on computer?"

(Coop) "Accessing city records can be recorded." Torbias says. "In addition, they are less secure in their information than solid paper." He places some books down on the table, handing a pair of scrolls Coop. "The two spells of interest are Speed Reading and Total Recall. Use the first, and hold onto the second for now. You will have time to properly learn them later."
(Sarah) "Woah, now." Eleuhteroi says, backing off. "Tobrias needed you here as safe and as quickly as possible. He's in the library with Coop." Keeping within whispering range, he says, very softly, "What did the military want with you?"

Whispering to Eleutheroi, Sarah tells him everything that Holia had told her in the mall. She looks worried as she says "This really concerns me. Why would they do something like that?" (tag)

Coop took the pair of scrolls, wide eyed as he tooked at them. He considered arguing, but showed some restraint, instead replying with a cocky smirk," What happened to when I'm ready?"
He opened the first book before taking the spped reading scroll and reading it slowly.

(Sarah) Whatever Eleutheroi was thinking, it showed on his face as a kind of worry, but he didn't say anything. "Tobrias, she's here." He says into the library.
(Coop) "Zachary." Tobrias says, with a rather paternal calm, but that hid a growing impatience. "This is not a time for insolence read the scroll. If I did not feel you could handle it, I would not have given the scroll. You want to save the city, do as you're told."
"Tobrias, she's here." Eleutheroi says from the main hall.
With a quick glance to Coop, Tobrias heads out, saying to Eleutheroi, "Make sure Zachary ues the speed reading scroll, we have too little time for him to be immature."
Eleutheroi walks in, landing with a thump in a chair, looking a little drained. "Read the damn scroll, Coop."
(Sarah) Tobrias heads out, saying to Eleutheroi, "Make sure Zachary ues the speed reading scroll, we have too little time for him to be immature."
As Eleutheroi heads into the library, Tobrias motions Sarah to his office and sits her down. "Is what I have heard true?" He asks, with a sense of urgency.

Sarah nods at Tobrias with a worried look on her face. "That's what Holia, the Colonel told me at the mall." Sarah fidgets and betrays how worried she is about what she's heard as she waits for Tobias to answer. (tag)

" Allright, allright, I was just trying to lighten to old grump up a little." Coop replied shaking his head slightly. He unrolled the speed reading scroll and read it aloud, careful to pronounce the words correctly. He knew that he probably sounded like a grade school kid again, just learning to read, but didn't care. " I don't feel any different." He shrugged and resumed his reading.

(Coop) Eleutheroi shook his head. "Not today." He said, sounding distracted, but watching coop expectantly.
As coop casts the spell, Eleutheroi pulls out a stop watch. In the corner of his eye, as Coop, sauntered through the book, it looked like Eleutheroi was frozen in time, watching Coop read. Eventually, Coop finished the thousands-paged tax record book, a dreary tedium at best. When he looked up, Eleutheroi seemed to spring into action, stopping the watching and tossing it to Coop. Landing face-up, the watch flashed "00:45".
"Get the point?" The Elf asked, picking out a book for himself.
(Sarah) After getting all the details, Tobrias stared thoughtfully out the window overlooking the city for what seemed like an eternity, far below at the base of the South Tower. "Well, it changes little." He says at last. "Regardless of military ambitions, we focus on the Old Ones' summoning. We have no choice. If we end both, we will count ourselves lucky. If you would prefer, I can begin a silent investigation, with police co-operation; the police have a unit geared towards policing the military in city matters. How does that sound?" he asks, turning to Sarah.

Sarah nods at Tobrias. "I think that would be wise." she replies. "While I do agree that we need to stop the old one's summoning, there is a chance the two are connected. Even if they're not, once the old one's summoning is thwarted, we'd have to focus on them next. Either way, we will need to get information on what is going on there." (tag)
