Tobrias shrugged. "We do not know for certain. We have no real DNA evidence to test the theory and I suspect your family is still too proud to own up to an affair like that. Though, given Darylus's ways, there may be some truth to it."
"I think they're doing mop-up, now." Says Eleutheroi about the operation. "Last I heard the raid was successful. They'll go dark until everything's settled with the police. But from what I heard the police had made it to the ballroom the same time as the Fayde and Sarah and Moltavious. So they witnessed a ritual in progress and are making their arrests based on that."
The elf takes a breath and grins. "It was quite pitched, actually. Sucks I couldn't be there. Would've been fun."

Coop nodded to Tobrias, still confused about the subject. " It guess your right. They's certainly never tell me."
He smirked at Eleutheroi. " Sorry I kept you from your fun, especially since it looks like there wasn't anything to worry about at the press conference. I'm glad things went well on their end. I can stop worrying then."

"Besides, there were 20 armed Fayde guards, Moltavius, god knows how many cops and only one real magic user on their side." Says Eleutheroi. "What's the worse that could happen?"
"Plenty." Says Tobrias. "But we will see when we arrive at the guild." He doesn't seem worried, but Eleutheroi looked about ready to suggest they LARP the battle and see how it went for themselves.

Coop didn't like Tobrias' answer, and his expression showed it without him saying anything. He tried to hide it by changing the subject," el, did anyone ever figure out who was in that other car chasing us?"

"Paverotsi." Says the Elf. "That same car followed me around They probably were waiting aroudn the corner from Zéké's. I wouldn't wor - No..." Eleutheroi's glow. "I have to go." In an instant, he had faded from the car.
If Tobrias knew what was going on, he didn't say anything. Instead, he says, "We should return to the guild. The fun is over for now, and you need to resume your studies. Especially if you want to be convincing as a Decree Slayer."
The city, meanwhile, must have had other plans, because the car disappeared and was replaced by a pitched magical battle between a demon and a human, in a large marble room. Then faded back to Tobrias explaining the lesson plan. The Guild master pauses. "What did you see?"

Coop was about to ask what was wrong as Eleutheroi faded, but the guildmaster's voice faded out as the vision came to him. Gone as quickly as it had come to him, Coop shook the cobwebs free that the images caused. " I saw a demon of some sort fighting someone in a big room. Some sort of magic duel or something, and the room looked like it's made out of marble or something like that. " He held the confused look for a moment, " why do the visions keep coming to me? Sarah's the city's protector, I'm just her screen pattern for the media so she can get things done."

Tobrias nods to the driver who turns and changes direction.
"The city must think of you as a defender. Eleutheroi has no blood ties and he gets them... though not a strong." Tobrias answers. Turning back to the driver, he says something in Greek. "Eleutheroi must has responded to the same threat that... Interesting." Tobrias looks at Coop. "You get to earn your salt."

" Earn my salt? You mean just like that you know where to go?" Coop asked, not bothering to hide his surprise. " And if El is going to the same place, why did he pull the vanishing act instead of just going with us?"

"Well, I suspect that Eleutheroi's senses are more attuned to mystical disturbances. Or else, he still had his earpiece on." Tobrias said.
After a few minutes, the car pulls up near the hotel. The moderate-sized building has been cordoned off by police, fire engines... and is smoking inside the structure.
"Interesting." Says Tobrias.
A cop came to wave the car away, then, looking inside, saw Coop, and quickly waved them in. "Welcome to having status." Tobrias explained as the car was directed to park near some police cars.
Eleutheroi was there waiting for them. "Hold on." He says, grabbing their arms. After a second, the trio find themselves inside the building. The place is wrecked, and the Fayde troops are doing triage with medical staff. It looked like a small war had happened. "It's not over yet." Eleutheroi said as the building shakes. "They're on one of the top floors, near as I can tell. They're unleashing ungodly amounts of power. I think it's only contained here by the will of the city."
As the building rattles, Eleutheroi looks to Tobrias. "It's a Cro. If we don't help Moltavious, he's a deadman."

" A Crow? I know you don't mean the bird. Hold it..." Coop face paled as what Eleutheroi had said sunk in. " If Moltavious is up there in trouble, why isn't Sarah with him?" He didn't care who was listening in and made no attempt to hide his concern.

Eleutheroi looked over at Coop. "You can guess." With a yelled order, a half-dozen Fayde stood around Tobrias, Coop and Eleutheroi. "But focus on the problems at hand. You have to keep Moltavious calm. Got it?"
With that they phase to the top floor of the building. It had been ripped to shreds, there was little left of the walls. Suddenly, the Guards took defensive positions as one of the walls burst through and a Cro demon mage exploded back in a blaze of flames and Moltavious exploded through next. His eyes were glowing in a flaming blue as the battered demon tried to get up. "Where the hell is my daughter?!" He bellowed, as magical energies surged out of him in into the demon, causing the demon to bellow in pain.
"He's torturing him..." Tobrias says, unsure whether or not he should intervene. Even though Coop hadn't moved yet, Tobrias yelled "No, wait! Coop! Don't get involved!"
Moltvaious turned, his eyes licking menacingly with flame as the demon faltered, losing strength. "Why not? Coop? It's your birthright, now. Going to subdue another protector? How do you think your great grandfather died?" He sounded different. Like a history of ages and anger were in him.

" What the heck are you talking about? I'm really getting tired of everyone knowing more about my history than I do." Coop replied as he stepped towards Moltavious. " Remember who your talking to? The big dumb jock your daughter fell for sound familiar? " He continued to edge closer towards Moltavious. " I just want to help. now what happened to Sarah?"

"Ask him!!" Moltavious bellows as the demon writhes. "He knows! I will pull it from his skull." He says, turning to the demon again for a more hands-on-approach. "And you will not stop me."
Tobrias nudges Coop forward towards Moltavious. "Answers later. You have to stop him." He says, in Coops head. "We will protect you."

" No you wont." Coop answered lowly, stepping between moltavious and the Cro. " You need to calm down and be rational. If you continue, than they'll have to lock you away. " He shook his head. " I've gone through that with one family, I don't want to do it again. Please Mr. Lockhart, stop this."

"Step out of my way, son." Said Moltavious, sounding more like himself. "I need to know where she is."
Meanwhile, Coop could hear behind him the scurry of armoured feet as the Fayde men secured the demon.
"Are you going to trust it to them? They let her get taken." Moltavious says, accusingly, but the power he had was clearly starting to leave him.
"We tried to stop it." Says one of the guards, calmly, in a thick accent, from behind Coop. "Three of us tried to... to take the bullet, as you say."
