Ch. 56 Track Down (all)

[Dome]

Isamu had leaned in to kiss Ashley when Ashley addressed Deci. He wanted to thank Deci as well but she left too quickly. When Avery speaks to them he nods, "I agree with you, she does need her rest. I did not wake her. Actually she woke me," he says with a smile. He pauses and then says, "Avery, thank you for everything you have done. I am sorry I did not get involved when you and Alice were having that argument. I was wrong. I should have said something. You continually prove that you are there when needed. I cannot thank you enough. I will talk to Alice and make sure she knows you are staying," he says matter of factly."

He turns back to Ashley and smiles. "I am so glad your going to be ok. Would you like something to eat? I can go get you something."

[Mierin]

Alice looks and Tom with a look that plainly says 'Stop wasting my time with stupid suggestions' as she says "No."

Alice shakes her head quietly at Jason as she replies "It was fine, you didn't bother me." At his reaction to the board, she asks quietly, "What is it?"

[dakota]

Dmitri overheard Deci and Ryne. " Sorry December. It won't happen again."
Ryne chuckled a bit. " Not the first team to have that happen here. Yeah, I'll go if you want the company."


Janie covered her mouth as she blushed. " You could... oh jeez, Sara, oh please, don't tell anyone else." She obviously couldn't understand how Sara heard them. " we were that loud?"


" No what?" Jason said to Alice, confused a little. He was still staring at the board. " The first one. There's only one way to get that thing out of me. And I think I've made my feelings clear I'm not fussy about it." He looked acrossed the table at Tom," Tom, can't you just use your powers to pull this transmitter out?"

Dylin cut in. " That is what I'm hoping, once I've severed it from the spinal column. There is a reason it reacts to contact with your spine, but I'm not sure what it is." He looked at Tom," While the others check your friend's place for clues, will you help? " He looked up at the rest of the group. " We'll have to brief the others later. " Ryne, you and December pay her family a visit. Once you are done there, co-ordinate with the others. I think locating the reporter is our goal right now. Sara, until Homicide reveals himself, he has to be a target of opportunity. Not to mention if it means another round with Alexi, they'll need your firepower." He looked back to Alice, " Avi will have to stay here as well, simply because of his healing powers to help . As soon as we are done, Tom and Avi will be free to join you in the field. Dimitri will join you to serve as a short cut back and forth between here in case someone needs transport. Is there anything else? Oh yes, the powers that be would like to know what to call our little band, and the media will soon catch wind of us as well, and lord help us what they might come up with."


Ashley lightly touched Isamu's face. " I'll be fine. You go, I think I'm going to go back to sleep for a bit."

As her eyes closed, Avi spoke from the doorway. " she needs her rest. She's lucky they got her back here when they did Isamu. She was pretty far gone." He said, then nodded slightly. " I'll stay, but if Sasha calls, I'm going to try to be there for her. Come on, food must be getting cold. she'll be okay by herself."

[Dome]

In Japanese he says, "Sleep well my love."

He watches her close her eyes then Isamu stands and follows Avery, "I understand Avery. I just cannot help but think if you were not here, she would be dead. Consider this, she is here, because Jason thought he was better off alone," he says a touch of bitterness in his voice. "If we all go off on our own, what are our chances? If Jason had taken the time to explain his plan, we could have been prepared to offer him support. Or simply monitor his movements and only move in if needed. Instead we had to go out searching for him on leads that turned out to be dangerous. If we all choose to act alone, what is the point of being part of a team," he asks. He puts his arm on Avery's back, being to short to reach his shoulder as they walk away from Ashley's bed. He continues, "I just ask, before you drop everything and go off alone, talk to us. Anyone on the team, so that we can be prepared to help if needed. I know I may not be a good leader but if I know you need help, I will be there for you. Just like you were when I called about Ashley."

"It is ok Dmitri. I mean it does happen and I was just going to bring it up later in private or the likes. Next time I will just make it a surprise or something." She giggles to herself thinking of the next time just making it super cold or something. But then envisions them just trying to make it a contest to make it warmer. She sighs to herself.

She then turns to Rhyne, "It is ok if you do not want to, I was just thinking as I will probably need some extra help explaining it to him. I have not revealed what happened to me down there. Honestly he probably thinks I died my hair this way, which is fine, but when he will find out that I got powers he and my grandmother will probably flip. More so when they find out I joined this team! I should almost see if a group will come for strength in numbers and all that jazz."

"I can try to help, but my magnetic abilities aren't exactly a scalpel, Jason. And yeah, I'm no detective, so the others can find the clues. Just let me know when I get another crack at Ragnarok." Tom answers.

[Mierin]

Alice says to Jason "I was saying no to Tom's ridiculous idea for a group name."

Nodding at Dylan, she says "I tried to scan Rag's thoughts and saw Beth locked in a room somewhere but am not sure where." Alice adds, "Once we do run into him again, we need to have a smarter plan. I'm sure we all noticed that physical attacks do not work and they are a waste of time. Besides," Alice directs this at Tom "We shouldn't use our position on the team to get any kind of revenge."

Sara smiles, "Not really. I just happen to have cybernetically enhanced hearing... forgive me teasing you two, I couldn't really pass it up."

She listens to Dylian lay out what they were going to do for the time being. Homicide gets to the back burner to do with the more time critical problems.

"I'm sure Homicide will keep for the time being. He sent me the email and I don't know of any other reason for him to be in town. All I might have to do is sit back and wait for him to come to me... Help us all when he does."

[dakota]

" Don't compare me to Jason, Isamu." Avi's tone went harsh as his eyes narrowed. " I'm nothing like him. You ask for my help, I'll help. I know you'll do the same. But don't ever confuse me with Jason Dexter." As they entered the kitchen, he added," Or get in between us." He veered off towards the food.

Ryne looked at December, and shrugged. " Are you trying to talk me out of going? 'Cuz it sounds like you are."


Dylin nodded," Alice is right. You need a game plan to corner Alexi and take him down. Going toe to toe doesn't work. Tom, I'll explain why I need your expertise after the meeting."

" I could have told you that." Ryne added.

Dylin continued. " Once we know where the reporter is, her safety is priority. Ragnarok won't go long without resurfacing if he escapes again. " He glanced at Sara," Same goes for Homicide. Don't let either of them lure you into fighting by their gameplan."

" Can we wrap this up?" Jason cut in. " I've got a meeting in a half hour."

" Skip it." MacColter said flatly. " You need that tracker removed."

" Not gonna happen." Jason replied. " We can take it out later."

Avi scoffed," Typical Dexter."

" You got something to say, Avi?" Jason was on his feet in a shot. " Maybe you can tell me outside?"

Avi merely laughed, which pushed Jason's buttons more. " Someday Jason, when I'm in the mood."

Deci turns to Rhyne, "No I am not trying to talk you out but I am trying to talk myself into it and doing an absolute horrible job at it. I am sorry if it seems like I am not really wanting to go, but really I wish I did not. I do not need to go right away, I am just more worried that my Grandmother will see it on the news and have a heart attack or something. I also understand with all that is going on we may have to hold off on it though. But also a quick trip now is probably the easiest way to get it over with." She hopes that works and feels a bit better. Still not wantign to go through with it but ready to do so.

[Dome]

Isamu doesn't have a chance to say anything before Avery walks off. He shakes his head as Avery almost incites Jason again. He looks at the board, and then the meal in front of everyone. He realizes he is hungry and serves himself some of the food. He sits silently for the moment since he seems he has missed most of the conversation. He was there for the part about Jason needed the tracker removed.

"Jason you need the tracker removed before you try to undertake anything else. You may be fast, but they are tracking you. That tracker puts us all in danger. It is hard to think that Ragnarok was at that place by chance. What if Alice was the one that Ragnarok attacked tonight? Would you still be ready to go off on your own again leaving us all behind?"

Sara continues munching whilst watching the explosive argument, probably one in many, play out. Which leads to the beginning of another headache.

“Yeah, why don't you both do us a favor and go outside to consummate your latent homosexual feelings for each other. Because damn, I want to eat in peace.”

Once her breakfast was ruined, she props her elbows on the table and looks at Jason; “I know everyone here wants to walk around on tip toes about last night, but you almost got someone killed. Maybe you like knowing that someone who was out looking for you because you were acting weird almost died. You sure as hell don't act like you care, which puts a strain on this team, which makes for a lot of ill will all around.

“But hey, your a grown child, you can make your own decisions.”

[dakota]

Ryne looked confused," Deci, do you always argue with yourself? Look, if I go with, maybe your father and grandmother will be a little more understanding that you expect. I can answer questions they might have too."


Getting tongue lashed by two of the others seemed to knock some of the fight from Jason. " I didn't want anyone to get hurt, that was why I left a note for Alice to find." He looked at the others," I didn't want Ashley to get hurt, I don't want anyone to get hurt on my behalf. " He looked at BA," I do care. If I didn't, I wouldn't have shown up to do what I could, including getting her back here with Dimitri's help as quick as we could. "

[sasqaricious]

"Yes I do have a penchant for chatting with myself. I will admit that. And if you would come with me that would be really cool as I could really use some help explaining everything. I will also have to tell my mother one of these days but that can be saved for a trip to Canada. She will also be far more understanding then most. Heck she might even be proud and jealous all at once, but I digress. When did you wish to go? And does anyone else wish to come?" She poses the question even though she knows there are many other things on the board more important than what she proposes.

[Dome]

"I personally cannot begin to thank you enough for that Jason. No one here is implying you wanted this to happen," Isamu pauses to take a sip. "What we are saying is that you are a part of this team, you went to help due to the fact you care about us. We care about you. Let us help you. We should all be working together than trying to sort things out on our own." He pauses and after a moment says, "Dylan when you and Alice have some time, I need to ask you a question."
