Without the gag in place, the woman just stared at Sara for a moment, then when she spoke, Sara could here a bit of a speech impediment with her acute hearing. " Talk slower. I can't understand you. Who are you? why have you done this to me?" She was definitely scared.


"Isamu, there's too many people out here for me to rocket up to the rooftop at the moment. The neighbors just arrived and they've got a dozen kids out here playing street hockey already." dmitri replied. " We're gonna have to relocate a bit so we don't draw attention."

In the quiet of the house, Tom recognized Sara's voice, along with another. It was definitely Beth Gromley.

" A couple more nearby? That must be us." Ryne said to Deci as they got out of the van. " I guess we just hang nearby in case Sierra needs us." He touched his Band-adio," Sierra, we're here near the public gardens, but need better directions to where you are if you need us. Find a coffe shop or restaurant to talk in. I know most of them in the area."

Releasing the button, he looked at Deci and nodded towards an ice cream vendor," Want one while we wait? "


" Mr. Creepy?" Arc actually chuckled. " That's putting it mild with Arnold. Fine, I'll talk to the pair of you. But not here."

Kristian was still a bit miffed about getting fried Sierra could tell," Fine mon, pick a spot."

Arc's eyes narrowed. " Do you know where the Starbuck's is on Oceanview?"

" Near the beach? Yeah, I've been there." something about Kristian's reaction was off.

" Good. One hour, and don't bring any friends." He turned to walk away, and then shot away like a lightning bolt.

Alone, Kristian started laughing," You get that, Janie?"

"I did Janie was chuckling too.

Kristian looked at Sierra," You didn't catch that? Si, " he gave her a hug," The beachhouse is on Oceanview Terrace. He's walking right into our backyard."

Tom over the bandaidio. "Sara, that's Beth. Get her out." he looks at Isamu. "OK, how dow we do this without collateral damage?"

'oh .. well. k .. kinda odd isn't it? .. he leaves the courthouse and moves to me then away. really hope i didn't set off a trap i can't get out of'

*she looks about and then finds an address and then uses the bandio 'k .. we're at *gives location* and we're going to a small .. wel looks like its a small bookstore of some sort called *insert name here*. its at the end of the alley. don't wanna stick about in case the SWAT decides to head in again .. meet us there?'

'Janie? .. i think its time we get a list of questions we need answers for and try to get them before he skips outta town. any leads on his past yet? i remember where i saw him before. he came onto the roof after Ryne and shot Avi in the back .... thought he looked familiar ... he kinda fried K too ... '

"Thank-you and I wish. Thanks to that meteorite I have not had the stomach for food, although it might be nice to try ice cream. Actually if you want an ice cream I will keep it frozen for you no matter how big you have it." She turns to him and grins, "I mean I must have some form of use after all."

She tries to put a positive spin on her situation. "You know why not try, it is not like it is solid food after all!"

Sara leans back from beth to talk over the bandaidio, "Hold your horses. You might have wanted to mention she was special needs in the first place, TOM."

She the others name sarcastically, but also to let Beth know that he was here. Then back to Beth.

"Look. We're not with that other guy. We're here to help you. To prove that i'm going to untie you, please don't try to run off on me. Okay?"

" Tom?" Beth looked at Sara in suprise. " Tom sent you? No, no I won't run." Beth said, nodding. Once her hands were free, she pulled back her hair to reveal a small black box that she clicked into place on her skull, then did the same on the other size. A look of releif came over her as she did. " We have to go before that Russian comes back. Please hurry."

"Keeping it frozen takes half the fun out of it." Ryne smiled, but it faded quickly when Sierra called. He touched his band-adio," copy you Sierra. We'll be there shortly." As he released, he looked at Deci," Another time. Let's go pick up the others for now and head home."

Kristian grimaced," He didn't fry me. It was just like the tazer from hell."

Janie resplied ~ Not alot on this guy. He just sort of came out of the woodwork a few month's agoFile shows him to be a family man from out west that has electrical based powers. No idea how he's mixed up with Wraith.

The trip back to the beach house seemed even quicker than when they had left. Jason set Alice down and let her have the papers. He scowled," I'm only letting Mac do this because of you."

"Ok Avery, Dimitri, Maintain the perimeter. Sara, the house is clear, bring her down. Tom and I will meet you on the main floor. For now we just leave. Get the girl to safety. We will deal with Ragnarok later," Isamu says into the Band-aid-io.

As he waits and looks around the main floor, he says into the radio, "Janie, do you have a position on Ragnarok now?"

Deci listens to the suggestion made instead of commenting on Ryne's comment. She starts the car up and approaches the location given over the Bandadio. Realizing though they are driving in silence while moving she turns the radio on quietly and changes it to the 80's station (or whatever passes for the pop/dance station) while keeping it at a respectable level.

'it didn't sound like it. i realize now that he held back from before. i didn't think he'ld do that tho, sorry .. ' *she tries to brush some of the singe and soot away from Kristian's ear 'there, that looks a little better .. '

*she leads the way to the small bookstore and when its safe moves across the street to wait out front. she's still pondering what caused Arc to turn and what Wraith has on him. she contacts Janie one last time while waiting 'hey, need you to look up two other names. Taipan and ... oh heck that radiation guy .. Fusion. Arc was with them too .. still trying to figure out how Wraith fits into all this'

Alice looks surprised as Jason takes them to the beach house, despite his protests. She smiles and leans up to kiss him softly as she says "I know." Taking his hand, she squeezes it and adds, "And it means the world to me." Taking the papers, she says, "I'll do whatever I can to help you with this."

" I know you will, Whisper." Jason smirked, holding Alice close for a moment. He thumbed the intercomm," Dylin? I'm ready when you are.

MacColter sounded suprised," I'll meet you downstairs then. I have everything perepared."

j~" According to my readings Isamu, he's right on top of..." Janie was muffled by a crash as the wall next to Isamu and Tom exploded. Eight feet of powerhouse Russian towered over them, " Bring the fight to my home will you? So be it." He swung at Isamu with a engine block sized fist.

Alice forces a smile to hide her nervousness about Jason's surgery. She says quietly, "I'll be there for when you wake up."
