Dante smiles as he looks into Bel's eyes, "you don't have to tell me. I know how lucky I am," he says before leaning in and giving Bel a quick peck on the lips."

' . . gratz. excuse me. i need to get back to work now'

*that said she stands up, leaves her drink behind and heads out to go back to work. the reactors are nearly too much for her on a good day.

Tiger watches Jeckle leave, perhaps thinking it would be best if she got to work on the testers herself. But she allows herself one evening of celebration and resolves to start the major work on the testers tomorrow.

She opens a bottle of champagne and fills glasses for everyone.

Khris patted Dante on the back," Congratulations." Strongbow came close enough, he gave her a smile and a quick hug. He wasn't sure if anyone knew the smile was fake or not, in fact he wasn't sure himself. He passed on champagne when Tiger offered, and when he saw an opportunity that no one was looking, he slipped outside to sit on the steps.

Dante readily accepts the Champagne from Tiger. He smiles from ear to ear and everyone can tell he is very happy. After a short time and some sips he says to Tiger, his arm around Bel, "so we were thinking immediately. Can the team take a quick trip? We want all of you there, but we don't want to wait."

*once she's in her truck/work place . . she gets her goggles on and settles down to work on Khris' second rifle. 'don't mess with the weight? .. not a problem. but i think a tweak here and . . . what the heck are these? .. nah . . you need some of Heck's ammo.

*she settles in to do the work she knows how to do. the reactor can wait till this is finished. she'll be glad to have Kirin's aid then, and who really cares what the otehrs think. she needs the help and she'll any and all things for it

*if her truck was about, she would get the ready made ammo from the safe inside the trailer and set aside 2 boxes [100 rounds each] for him, otherwise she will fabricate them with what she has and give him 33 rounds.

the fun and 'easy' stuff done, she settles down and summons up her ring companion and studies the plans once again. goggles on the head and the coat hanging off the back like wings she preps and gets started on the first reactor

'you know buddy . . no matter how many times i look at this .. it just doesn't get any clearer. except when you're about, but sadly it's still not good enough. i don't think they'ld even notice if i jumped in my truck and rolled out.

Tiger considers a moment. "Give me one week to set up the training and I'll be there. Ten days or two weeks would be better. Is that soon enough?"

[Dome]

"That's up to Bel," he says looking at Bel.

"I still need to get a dress. Ten days will be fine," Bel says.

Akane having nothing to do just goes through the normal routine of practice and exercise as taught to her by her mentor.

Tiger distractedly ushers the three candidates off to bed and sends everyone a text message informing them that the training briefing will be at 0700 in the hand to hand combat section of Omega Shield's training facilities. The next morning everyone arrives to find a tired looking Tiger standing in front of Roan, whom they met last night, and two new strangers. Tiger introduces the other two as Marv and Lt. White. Like Roan, they are dressed in martial arts uniforms. Marv is wide and stocky, with a craggy face and a build like a neanderthal. Lt. White is an veteran with a bionic hand and ear. He doesn't look like an officer, he looks like a marine.

"We have barely two months until the North America Trials begin. Peacemaker, Dancer and Rock will train intensely during that time. The training will be in martial arts, meditation, education, tester training, teamwork, and guerrilla warfare. Each trainer will have assignments, and I will give all of you the schedule."

"Roan, Marv and Lt. White will be helping us with the martial arts training. All three of them are among the very best martial arts instructors in the world. Roan will be the chief martial arts trainer. She will direct the training while me, Marv and Lt. White coach and provide support. Her specialty is Aikido. Marv's specialty is Ch'in-na. Lt. White's specialty is Taido."

"Rock," Tiger says and the kid's head snaps to attention, "Your assignment is to learn Aikido from Roan. Lt. White will be your coach. He will not be teaching you Taido, rather he will be assisting you in your Aikido training. He will also oversee your security. Inform him if you deviate from the training schedule. Understood?"

"The style I made is closer to Aikido than anything else, wouldn't it be better if I branched out into Tiger Claw or Ch'in-na?" Rock says hopefully.

With a withering glare Tiger responds, "Martial arts forms take years to master. We have two months before the trials and very little time after that. Because your own style is close to Aikido means Aikido is the martial art you will learn the fastest. Marv and Lt. White are two of the best martial arts instructors you are ever going to meet. All four of us have decided that Aikido is going to be the primary focus, that it has the best chance for success for the mission. Not only that, Aikido training is the top priority of the whole training program. We are spending four straight hours each day on martial arts training - more time than on anything else. Learning Aikido is your primary mission. I order you to make it your top priority. Do you understand?"

"Yes, sir." Rocks says quickly.

"Peacemaker," Tiger's voice changes from the officer's cadence she used on Rock to a calm and happy tone, "Your assignment is to learn Aikido from Roan. I will be your coach. I will not be teaching you Tiger Claw Kung Fu. Rather, I will be assisting you in your Aikido training. When I or Roan are not present, Kris will be your security detail. You are not to interfere with his duties and are to insure he knows where you are going if you deviate from the training schedule. Understood?"

Peacemaker nod and squirms uncomfortably. She wants to learn Tiger Claw Kung Fu, but she is much smarter than Rock and is sharp enough to realize that Tiger would not make Roan the chief trainer unless she felt that learning Aikido from Roan was a big advantage. After all it would have been far easier for Tiger to round up trainers in her own form right? Peacemaker does wonder why if Aikido is so important Tiger didn't simply recruit three Aikido trainers. What was the point of a Ch'in-na and Taido instructor if they weren't going to teach their own forms....

"Dancer," Tiger smiles kindly. Dancer looks over to Roan. Unlike the other two candidates, she is fascinated by the idea of learning Aikido. "Akane will be your security detail, keep her informed if you deviate from the schedule. Marv will be your coach. He will assist you in your training." It is difficult to tell who looks more surprised by this, Marv or Dancer. "You will learn Aikido from Roan, Ch'in-na from Marv, Taido from Lt. White and Tiger Claw Kung Fu from me. Do you understand?"

Dancer blinks. "No?" She squeaks. It comes out like a question.

"You can learn any move you see correct? Just like a dance." Tiger says happily. "Aikido will be your primary form. However its possible there could be a need for other forms. Also, while Rock and Peacemaker are in good fighting shape today, you have no experience in fighting. I intend for you to come to the trials with a vast pool of martial arts knowledge. You aren't immortal, and your strength is merely human. You will need to be a crafty martial artist."

Peacemaker stares openly at Dancer in shocked surprise, and Rock keeps trying to look out of the corner of his eye when he doesn't think Tiger is watching him.

"Very good." Tiger says. "Now that the most important assignments are out of the way...." Tiger hands out the schedule to everyone. "How about we get started today?"



0500 - Peacemaker, Dancer and Rock wake up
0530 - Meditation training for one hour with Dante and Roan
0630 - Breakfast
0700 - Martial Arts training for four hours (Roan, Tiger, Akane, Bel, Lt. White, Marv).
(Also Tester Building and Research for Jeckle and Dante)
1100 - Tester Training for one hour (Jeckle, Dante, Tiger)
1200 - Lunch
1230 - Teamwork Training for three hours (Tiger, various)
1530 - Mental training for three hours (Roan, Dante, and Tiger)
(Note: Jeckle, Dante, and Tiger Tester Building and Research 6:30pm to 9pm)
1830 - Dinner
1900 - Hide and Seek Guerrilla training for two hours (Shroud)
2100 - Break for one hour
(Note: Trainers will meet at the bar for training discussions)
2200 - Tester Training for two hours (unsupervised)

Except on times of her training Akane sticks to herself while mainly focusing on her own self training to make sure she can further advance her own study. While the rest train she stays out of everyones way practicing her other little used skills of magicn which have been laid dormant for far to long.

Khris looked at the schedule suspiciously," And what would you have the rest of us doing when we aren't required to help?"

'i don't know about you .. but i made you some ammo for hte rifle. might wanna test it out. can't get to my truck to give you more, but i did make you 33. have fun. me? .. i get to bash my head against a brick wall over stuff i have no freakin clue how to do .. and still come up smiling and being pleasant. excuse me .. i have work to do now . . '

*she takes the schedule and exits the group meeting and returns to 'work'. manners never where her strong point, but then .. she's happier about it. manners hide to many lies .. and so she returns to work amid the quiet and tunes everyone else out as she resumes working again

"Surprise me," Tiger says to Kris jokingly. "When you aren't on security detail that is."

Tiger notes this is the second time Jeckel has walked out barely speaking to anyone. "Dante, I believe you are also scheduled to build and research the tester right now. Perhaps you can mind meld with Jeckel and make some progress before the kids come by for their training at eleven." And perhaps get her mind focused on the challenge rather than overwhelmed by it, she thinks to herself.
