With his tux on and uncomfortable, Khris scowled," This wouldn't be so bad if they made sandals that went with the bloody penguin suits." He wringled his toes protestingly against the tight fitting shoes, and if anyone noticed, he still wasn't wearing socks.

Dante comes out dressed in his Armani Tux, a vestige of his life before Omega Shield. He stands as if he had worn outfits like this all his life, which he had attending one function or another as part of the Hayfurst family from Century Station. He looks at Khris and shakes his head, "you just need to relax man. Think of it like camouflage. When your in the jungle and moving on a target you wear fatigues, maybe a gillie suit and make your way in. Where we are going, dressed like this, it will help us get in and get close to our target. It will help us to blend in."
Dante takes a moment and glances at the women all dressed in their outfits and appraises them briefly before he turns and waits for Bel to make her appearance.

Akane puts on the outfit that was made for her before they left on the plane. Still unhappy that something like this has to be done as with her views of the world do not generally include high end parties. She is not even sure she put it on correctly when she comes out for the rest to see?

*looks at Khris and mutters 'woulda been better in green, with buckles on the heeled booties they usually wear. but then, you don't have a bushy beard or get chase by kids .. '
*looks at Tiger 'permission to .. not attend? .. i really should look at the reactor design again and see if i can't try work on it' *she's currently in a muted 'blah' color silk loose pant and long sleeved tunic and sorta look out of place among the others.
*Jeckle looks at Peacekeeper 'at least you can be disguised as .. normal .. i'm all patches from the neck down. go have fun in my place, k?

Akane is fortunate in that the dress Tiger gave her is reversible. It can either be low in the back, in a somewhat conservative manner, or low in the front.
Peacemaker smiles at Jeckle and nods.
As she does this, Bel steps out. Her black dress and silk stockings are containing quite a bit more curves than Tiger, showing off her well muscled legs and back. She isn't showing much cleavage, but her dress is secured at the neck and bare all the way down to her waist. And from the side, there isn't much material either. Her dress isn't as tight as Tiger's and Akane's, with little ripples in the fabric round the edges. She winks at Dante.
Tiger nods to Jeckle, knowing Jeckle would rather have her teeth pulled then wear fancy clothes in public. She rests a hand on Jeckle's shoulder light as a butterfly, "Great. These testers are going to be very important. Don't worry, there will still be plenty of work to do once they are finished."
"Shall we?" Tiger intones and she steps down the ladder out of the plane and to the waiting limo.
A short ride later, the limo drops them off in front of a beautiful old building where other limos and fancy cars are dropping off all kinds of ballet enthusiasts.
A short walk up the grand staircase, and Tiger leads them to a balcony suite with a fantastic view. Little binoculars are thoughtfully placed on their seats and a waiter arrives to offer champagne. Tiger picks out a seat, orders a champagne which she leaves untouched, and people watches for a bit before the show starts.

Khris hadn't bothered to respond to either Dante or Jeckle, but both of them got a 'piss off' glare before he got in the car. Once they arrived, he was even more grumpy. " You could have warned me I was going to be tortured. I would have brought my ipod."

Tiger glances over at Kris with a playful smile, "Yes, I'm very cruel. Forcing you to watch what very well could be the best ballet dancer in the last two hundred years. I'm sure you can withstand a little classical music for one evening." She put her hand on his reassuringly.

*is thrilled to be given a 'get out of jail free' card from the group antics of the evening and resumes work once again. AFTER she slips out of hte 'longue wear' she uses for 'fancy dress up formal things.
*she sets a small bottle of Whiskey on Khris' seat to make up for her comment earlier. she knows that her mouth says things at times that are better off not said aloud. the reference to a leprechaun's classic green was one of them.
*she starts on the Circuit now .. and tables hte reactor to when she has someone more knowledgeable to work with. she figures she's good for at least another 6 hours of work. but 5 will be her goal this time. that lease all day tomorrow to finish ..

Dante looking totally at ease in his tux, climbs out of the limo first, and offers each lady a hand in getting out, and once all are out he offers his elbow to Bel so he can escort her inside. He smiles at her and sends her a message mentally, 'you look absolutely stunning.

Jeckle remains busy building and is actually happier this way. the less interaction with people just now, the better. she works for hte 5 hours and puts a pause on her work to sit up and look about. she stands up and then looks for tarp or netting to hang up for a bit more privacy while working.
IF she has to summon Kirin, it will be in a place that he wont need to worry about wingspan and height. she KNOWS she needs his help in understanding the Reactor and to build it. the others will be busy for the next 3-12 hours. so, time for the walls to go up.
the walls 'hung', she cleans up and then settles on the bench in the area she's marked off with walls and zonks out. shorts and a t-shirt so her body can breath, show that she's had a kind of light spritz shower

Bel blushes and thinks back at Dante: And you look very handsome this evening, why have I not seen you like this before? The tux suits you well. Bel keeps close to Dante on the stairs, her body lightly brushing his shoulder.

Tiger narrows her eyes playfully at Kris, "If you've never been exposed, then how do you know you won't enjoy it?" Before Tiger can continue, the lights dim, the audience goes silent, and the first notes of music start. Classical, arranged with charm, but when the curtain comes up everyone ceases to pay conscious attention to the music and focuses on the dancers. There is no dialogue, not that many of them speak German, but none is necessary. The Dancer, the female lead, communicates thoughts and emotions with poise and gesture. Not merely a perfect technical dancer, she adjusts for any mistakes made around her and makes the entire performance look good. Tiger and Akane can tell easily that her moves are not merely the product of gracefulness, they are ideal. For the next hundred years, maybe longer, no dancer will surpass her. Her skill overflows and raises her partners to a level they have never achieved. When her steps are light and joyful, the audience smiles. When her dance is mournful, tears stream down the cheeks of most of those watching. Kris is reminded of when he has seen Tiger practicing her martial art forms and hits one just right, so that just for an instant he is struck by the genius of whomever created the form years ago. The Dancer is true. Her dance shows exactly what the creators of ballet intended.

Akane much in the same boat as Kris as this is not the most exciting thing in the world to watch. Not like a free for all brawl or anything like that. Still when she sees the graceful girl she decides that this might be worth watching a little closer.

Khris tried not to be discouraged. He knew the lead dancer was very good, but it still didn't make up for his total disinterest. He did his best however to hide his inattention, and mimiced the reactions of the crowd. Instead, he reached out with his powers to try to find whoever they were there for.
