PREDator Arms ( PRosek Experimental Designs)
After being a disappointment in his military career, (Young) Prosek found his niche when he struck a deal with a pair of weapon engineers from Northern Gun who wanted a change. Despite being a poor officer, (Young) did see the shortcomings of the weapons the Coalition war machine provided it’s soldiers. Otherwise, Special Forces troops wouldn’t have a tendency to use non-coalition weaponry. By taking a large variety of confiscated weaponry to a warehouse in Ironheart and hiring a support staff, Dyson Ward and Frederick Atince began to reverse engineer them to find the parts they liked and began to make a list. Prosek in turn became the company spokesman and sales representative, convincing several field commanders to perform field trials on his companies’ products. General Jamison Sykes was one of the first to agree in principle, though Prosek never did find out just which unit he was outfitting with PREDator Arms weaponry.
PRED-S13 Plasma Shotgun
You read right. One of first designs was meant to be a secondary weapon that would compete with the TX-16 and CI-714 pump rifles. By taking the well loved C-27 and retooling it into a pistol gripped shotgun form, the PRED-S13 gives soldiers a backup weapon that can cause grievous amounts of damage without have to carry around extra ammunition. Uses the C-27’s E-canister. The weapon has no recoil like the other two weapons, but it is extremely loud by energy weapon standards (purely by design). Comes with a folding stock, but few leave them on. It is an awkward weapon (-1 to strike), but field testers love it. (Pictured on page 114 of Coalition Navy Sourcebook)
Weight: 9lbs Range: 400ft Rate of Fire: Standard Payload: 30 shot E-canister Damage: 5d6 MD Cost: 18,000 cr
PRED-P6 Assault Pistol
Coalition soldiers were polled by PREDator Arms staffers for any and all ideas they could come up with. One that came up from several intelligence officers was the need for a handgun that packed some extra kick. What the designers came up with was the P6 Assault Pistol, a redesigned CP-20 with an under barrel micro grenade launcher. It only has a payload of 3 micro grenades and makes the pistol barrel heavy.
Weight: 4 lbs Range: 1000ft laser, 300 ft grenade launcher Rate of fire: standard Payload: Laser : 15 shot regular E-clip, 21 shot long e-clips Grenade launcher: 3 micro grenades Damage: laser 2d6 MD single, 5d6 MD 3 rnd burst Grenades: Fragmentation 3d6 to 10 ft radius Armor Piercing 4d6 MD 3ft radius Cost: 16,000 cr Bonus: +1 to aimed shots with optional targeting laser (3000 cr), but only when using long e-clip (counterweights grenade launcher).
PRED-P1 Disposable Holdout Laser
A last ditch weapon for self defense originally, it has also become a favorite with assassins. The single shot weapon is disguised to look like common items (such as pens, cigarette lighters, belt buckles, etc) so it can be kept close in case of undercover operations or capture. The power pack burns out after a single shot, so the user has to make his shot count.
Weight: depends on design, less than 1 lb Range: 100ft Rate of Fire: One Shot Payload: 1 Damage: 2d4MD Cost: 7000 cr
PRED-LP8 Laser Pistol
Designed to look like a pre-Rifts Colt .45 to appeal to those troops that have an affinity for classic weapons, as well as take some of the growing business within CSOG away from Wilk’s-Remi. (Pictured on page 6 of Siege of Tolkeen 2)
Weight: 2.5 lbs Range: 750ft Rate of Fire: standard Payload: 20 shot regular e-clip, 30 shot long e-clip Damage: 2d6 MD Cost: 12,000 cr
PRED-IC12 Ion Carbine Rifle
(Pictured on page 1 of MercTown)
Weight: 4.5 lbs Range: 1000 ft Rate of Fire: Standard Payload: 21 shot e-clip Damage: 2d6 MD single, 6d6 MD burst Cost: 22,000 cr
PRED-PR14 Light Plasma Rifle
(Pictured on page 26 of World book 15)
Weight: 9lbs Range: 800ft Rate of Fire: standard Payload: 10 shot Damage: 6d6 MD Cost: 38,000 cr
PRED-AC18 Auto Assault Cannon
(Pictured on page 17 of Rifts: Mercenaries) -drum magazine, extremely loud, loved in Vamp company (silver rounds)
Weight: 26 lbs Range: 1400 ft Rate of fire: standard Payload: 100 round drum Damage: 6d6SDC single, 2d4 MD 5rnd burst or 4d4 MD long burst Cost: 38,000 cr
PRED-LMP7 Laser Machine Pistol
(Pictured on page 65 of Lone Star)
Weight: 4 lbs Range: 1000 lbs Rate of Fire: standard Payload: 20 shot short e-clip, 30 shot long e-clip Damage: 2d4MD single, 4d6 MD 3 shot burst Cost: 16,000 cr
PRED-LSR15 Laser Sniper Rifle
(Pictured on page 222 of Coalition War Machine) -telescopic scope(+2 strike), folding bipod for stability
Weight: 8lbs Range: 2200 ft Rate of Fire: standard Payload: 20 shot e-clip Damage: two settings, 6d6 SDC or 4D6MD Cost: 40,000 cr
PRED-LCR11 Laser Carbine
(Pictured on page 109 of Rifts: Unlimited Edition) - Carbine version of classic C-12 , with retractable stock, shortened barrel and scope removed
Weight: 5lbs Range: 1200 ft Rate of Fire: standard Payload: 20 shot e-clip or 30 shot long e-clip, plus 30 shot e-canister Damage: 6d6 SDC, 2d6 MD or 4d6 MD Cost: 24,000 cr
PRED-LPR 9 Pulse Laser rifle
-bull pup design, e-clip loads in stock (Pictured on page 128 of Coalition War Machine)
Weight: 8lbs Range: 1600 ft Rate of Fire: standard Payload: 40 shot e-clip Damage: 2d6 MD single, 6d6 MD 3 shot burst Cost: 32,000 cr

Cromwell Innovations
CI-602 "Chainsaw" Rocket Launcher:
This unusual weapon is one of the grizzliest heavy weapons to come out of the Cromwell Innovations developers’ think tank. Based off a weapon that was “confiscated" off the streets of MercTown, they came up with an ingenious weapon that has drawn the adoration of anyone using anti-tank weaponry.
The heavy (62 lbs fully loaded) shoulder fired launcher fires a powered 12" diameter powered flat disk using the same principles as a rail gun. These disks are brimmed with a row of razor sharp teeth that spin around the edge once it is launched much like a chainsaw's blade. The spinning blade also serves as a stabilizer for the heavy (2lb) disc as it flies. They also make an unmistakable scream as the disks fly through the air.
Once the disk strikes its target, the MD blades grind into their target. After about 3 seconds of embedding itself, the explosives packed into the disk erupt with devastating results.
This weapon is still in the development stages, but a few prototypes have leaked into the hands of a few mercenary groups, which have found them to be exceptionally effective. Curiously, the rocket disks are already available at a select few CI company outlets. The disks have been dubbed “Screamers" by their users and CI has adopted the name.
Weight: 62 lbs fully loaded Rate of Fire: The electromagnet coils require a cool down cycle that only allows for two disks to be fired per round (15 seconds). Range: 600 ft (a major drawback due to the weight of the disks) Restrictions: Requires a minimum PS of 24 to handle this weapon due to the blowback. The disks also make an unmistakable sound and the weapon itself is as loud as a light rail gun when fired. Damage: Blades do 3d6 MD to an object for two rounds (approximately 5 seconds) to an object before the explosives detonate, doing 5d6 MD to a 3 foot radius. Blades will pass through SDC materials with ease. Explosives will detonate once maximum range is reached if the Screamer doesn't attach itself to a target. Bonuses: The Weapon has a targeting laser that can be used to give +1 to strike Payload: The top loaded disk tray holds 6 Screamer disks and must be loaded manually (required two action rounds to push a full load down in place Cost: The launcher itself is estimated to hit the market at 42,000 cr, and Screamer disks are already available for 1000 cr each, though sales reps promise the price will drop once the launchers are released to the market.
R.A.I.L.S. - Rotary Assault Infantry Laser System
Based on the incredible anti infantry capabilities of the Coalition's IAR-5 Hellfire's namesake cannons, the designers at Cromwell came up with a way to cycle several pulse lasers in rapid succession. On their own, each individual pulse laser is a fairly weak weapon, but fired in rapid bursts, these squad assault weapons are devastating. The one downfall is the slight whine of the rotation motors that must be activated before the weapon can be fired other than in single shot mode.
CI-402 "Raptor" R.A.I.L.S.
Has four barrels that cycle in burst modes.
Weight: 18lbs Damage: 1d4MD single 5d4 MD short burst (5 rnds) 1d4x10 MD long burst (10rnd) Rate of Fire: Standard bursts count as single action Range: 1600 feet Payload: 50 rnd e-clip or 300 rnd e-pack that attaches to backpack (costs 1500cr) Cost: 38,000cr
CI-404 “T-Rex" R.A.I.L.S.
Has seven barrels that cycle in burst mode. The heavy gatling gun-style weapon has four settings, including the most lethal of any energy weapon produced on Earth as far as the company knows
Weight: 35 lbs Damage: 2d4 MD single 1d4x10 short burst (5 rnd) 2d4x10 long burst (10 rnd) "Hellfire" 4d4x10 (50 rnds) this counts as three attacks, gains NO bonuses and has a 1-40% chance of damaging the weapon, which will result in the barrel rupturing for 2d4x10MD damage to everyone within 15 feet if fired again without allowing 2 minutes of cool down time. Rate of Fire: Standard, but see above Range: 1600 feet Payload: 100 rnd hip e-pack or 300rnd e-pack that attaches to backpack (costs 1500cr) Cost: 74,000
CI-206 "Geyser" Pressurized Water Pistol
Unlike many of Cromwell's competitors, the company recognizes the threat of the increase of vampire activity in the south along with the stories that come from survivors of expeditions into Mexico. To help with this problem, the designers came up with a weapon that strikes fear in the bloodsuckers it has been tested on. Taking the basic water gun and making it out of metal and with a detachable water reservoir on top, the design team found a way to pressurize the weapon with CO2 cartridges inserted in the handle. The initial pressurizing is quite loud, but the effects more than offset it. To make it even more appealing, the reservoir can be replaced by a standard Coalition canteen.
Weight: 8lbs Damage: None, vampires take 3d6HP Rate of Fire: standard Range: 75 feet Payload: tank holds enough water for 20 shots, CO2 cartridges good for 3 tanks. Cost: 2500 cr, cheap so those who need them can afford them.
CI-214 "Hailstorm" Paintball Gun
After coming across pre-rifts reference materials pertaining to the sport of paintball, the designers at Cromwell took it upon themselves to update and improve the design and release it as a weapon for both sporting competitions and combat usage. Several types of capsules were devised after the standard paintballs were released in a whopping 48 different colors. Leagues have quickly sprung up in several areas, the most surprisingly being the Coalition State of Lone Star. When fired, they are nearly silent, with only a slight pop.
Weight: 9lbs, fully loaded Damage: a mere 1 SDC if hitting exposed bare flesh, unless acid capsules are used. Rate of Fire: standard Range: 150 ft Payload: CO2 cartridge good for 500 shots, paintball hopper holds 200 paintballs. Penalties: -2 to strike unless aimed Cost: 12,000cr for rifle. CO2 cartridges cost 100cr for three. Paintballs cost by type Paintballs: 350cr for variety crate, or 500cr for one color. 1000 per crate. Marker Paint: detectible with ultraviolet vision. 5cr each Tracking nanites: tiny transmitters in a liquid solution that transmit on subsonic frequency. 25cr each, 1500cr for receiver. Nerve Toxin: Stun target with skin contact with failed save vs. poison. 40cr each Acid: do 1d4 SDC for 2d6 rounds. 30 cr each MD Acid: 1d6MD for 1d4 rnds. 200 cr each Note: new designs are under development, but not yet released.
Det Tape
Special Forces submitted a request to come up with something that would make the use of det cord practical in urban situations and so a demo trooper didn't need to carry a pouch full of shape charges. The Cromwell think tank took that idea to the drawing board and came up with a very simple yet extremely efficient concept. They took simple duct tape and integrated the explosive into it. Then Cromwell took it one step further, and increased the potency to mega damage proportions. On quick inspection, it looks like regular duct tape with a crease in the middle. Comes in 20 ft rolls. Weight: 0.5 lbs per roll Damage: 1d4 MD per foot Cost: 4000cr roll
CI-432 “Tri-Cip” Triple Reciprocating Laser System
After coming up with the R.A.I.L.S. system, Cromwell engineers took their intimidation on the battlefield one step further with the Tri-Cip, a three barreled portable laser cannon that the barrels fire in a cascading sequence. The massive weapon requires a servo harness for the average soldier to use, but the impact on the battlefield combined with the intimidation factor has made it a hit. The only drawback of the Tri-Cip is that unlike the majority of lasers, it is fairly noisy due to the pneumatics of the blowback system.
Weight: 68lbs plus e-pack Damage: 4D6MD single pulse, or 2d6x10MD for a six rnd cycling burst Rate of Fire: Standard Range: 1500 ft Payload: 300 rnd e-pack that attached to the user’s backpack. Cost: 58,000 cr, plus 12,000 cr for additional e-packs. There is also an option of a wireless HUD and targeting laser for an extra 15,000 cr (gives a +1 to strike when aimed.)
Note: The first cycle burst can be aimed, but any after that are considered wild.
CI-714 Double Barrel Pump Rifle and CI-911 Disc Magazine Anti Personnel Explosive
The CI-714 is an example of taking a popular weapon and modifying it to your customers’ requests. By taking a Triad TX-16 pump rifle, Cromwell asked several weapon testers how to improve on the weapon. The end result was a double barreled weapon with a retractable stock, an oversized tactical fore stock grip to pump and an increased payload. The hardest to address was the idea to make the weapon faster to reload. This was addressed with a radical carousel style disc magazine that sits on top of the weapon, and turns when the slide is pumped. When field tested, the recipients fell in love with the “Double Pump”.
Weight: 14 lbs fully loaded Damage: 4d6 MD single, 8d6 MD double blast Rate of Fire: Standard Range: 500 ft Payload: 24 rnds, see below Cost: 35,000 cr. The CI-911 Disc magazine costs 3000 cr each and 75 cr per round
The Cromwell think tank took things one step further and devised a way to turn the CI-911 magazine into an anti personnel mine by attaching a launch device and a detonation device. When activated, the mine is launched five feet into the air and fires all twenty four rounds at once with devastating effects ( 8d6 MD to everything within 30 ft, double damage to beings/ vehicles over 15 ft). Best of all, there is a 70% chance that the CI-911 can be reused if recovered. (Requires a passed Recognize Weapon Quality roll to tell) there are three types of sensor…
Remote Detonated: 12,000 cr comes with preset scrambled frequency remote Seismic Detonated: 15,000 cr settings for human sized or vehicle sized Bio Mass Sensor Detonated: 20,000 cr detects life form in range that is NOT human.
