Any one recall this title? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rising_StarsThinking I'll 6 sets of predefined powers that PC's make Characters around. The powers will all be part of a plan and plot based on the story..I just need serious GM advice on this idea...

Honestly? I was never that enamored with the series - there's a few major logical hurdles that I would try to avoid in a game, and even then, I didn't think the concept really stood up.
But that may just be me.

I did like the idea that each special had a power for a reason. That they were somehow responsible for the next step of evolution..

It's not BAAAD per se, but the whole energy loss and grouping issues might not convert well to HU.
And the ending was weak. Severely so.

Good thing I wouldn't be using using the storyline as is. And I agree the idea of energy loss won't work in HU. If were rifts I could say the loss PPE/ISP's from the PC's. In HU the Magic system used to power Mutant Powers could work.
But most players don't like things taken away. Its like playing a party that you know is going to die. For example if some one played a mythical hero that was destined to die no matter what.

Actually a system that tends to quite well to this is Tristat system for Silver Age Sentinels.
