" Allen?" Dryzh eyes went huge as he looked at Streetwise. " Water turn you ugly! You need stay dry." He nodded, not understanding.

"The correct term is Nightbane." Streetwise says. "In this form, I am called Streetwise. But yes, I am as much a part of Allan as he is a part of me."

"If you would prefer I be Allan, I will need help swimming."

"Um, I can probably carry you as well but it would be really tough in your griffon form. I might be able to though." Sapphire looks at the vast body of water knowing that be in a way her one weakness. Although not scared she has trepidations towards it.

(OOC - was so tempted to say in character "Yes I have heard of your race in my time, they were called nightspawn. I thought that name was fitting. What happened did someone sue for use of a name and you had to change it...." Rofl. )

"Well, I can always transform to Allan, and you could carry him, easily enough." Streetwise says. "But be quick, or else that'll be that."

The black ship with black sails is closer now, and members of the crew call out in harsh voices to the team.

Aki turns to look at the sailors calling out. Yumi puts the front paws on the girl's head and chitters at the ship and shakes once again. she's not really too concerned, unless the ship goes past. she smiles and then swims a little closer, while the others do the talking thing.

*she knows that they will talk to her if it's important. meanwhile, she will simply wave an arm .. [nautical sign of distress]

Seeing the ship, Streetwise figured discression was the better part of valour... and began to transform back into Allan, reaching out for Dryzh as he does.

Sheathing his sword with one hand, Dryzh took Allen's hand as he changed, and then moved close enough to help hold him afloat. " Friend Allen shock Dryzh. DRyzh good enough swimmer for both." He kicked a little harder, but kept the two of them afloat.

Closer now, the black ship's crew can be seen. And what a terrible crew. A baalrog stands amidships shouting out orders to a demon crew. Another baalrog leans over the rail, smiling and shouting to the swimmers and the hovering pair. He is speaking in the language of trolls and giants for whatever reason.

Taking percautions Sapphire casts tongues first on Tesla and then on herself. "This is just in case they wish to talk. To be honest I doubt it but there is always hope. But what are we doing next?" She is prepared to run with her master in tow, but is unsure right now.

"We better be careful, they look rather rough.." he whispered to Sapphire. He was certainly not sure this group was entirely friendly..

The demon at the rail calls out again, and this time those with tongues can understand him. "Hail, little seagulls!" He says sacastically. "Ha! Fancy a turn in the arena to pay for passage? I promise we'll sell you fair and square. There's an isle wi' giants..." He flings his arm in the direction the space ship dissappeared over the horizon. "It is a long swim though! Ha, ha, ha!" He laughs a cruel laugh.

Aki pauses in her swimming and frowns. she is uneasy at the appearance of the strange . . . things on the ship. she's attuned to nature to the point that the mongooses primal instincts press her for action.

*a faint growl and hiss comes from her throat as she treads back and away from the big black ship. she nears Allen and Dryzh and comments 'not like. much bad from them. smell wrong .. look bad bad wrong ... '

Allan quietly shared Aki's opinion. However, he knew he was too late to cast tongues on himelf without the demons knowing. He would simply have to trust to the others to make the right decision.

"Oh they talk alright..." Tesla muttered with a grim thought to Sapphire and looked at this demon, "What are the terms of the fight? I won't agree to anything until I hear terms." he was fairly sure they didn't want to swim.
