Regaining his height, Streetwise looks around the mass of ships. He was curious to see if one was sbneaking as it were, away from the fight. Or, there was one that looked like some geek on Godmode was taking on all the villains.

Oddly enough, Streetwise can't see Fakir anywhere. And the other pursuing ships don't seem to have figured it out either as they are pursuing all the ships at once.

What Streetwise does notice is a very odd storm approaching at more than a hundred miles an hour. The lightning seems strange, and everything the storm passes over appears oddly distorted. Almost like...

Aki continues to stalk the invisible one. she has no clue where it plans on going, but she stalls it from getting to the steering place. the mongoose chitters as it moves about near the girls feet. it's sniffing the air trying to get a bead on who it is. it only has that odd flower for a reference.

'who i no see you? why hide, unseen flying monkey?' *her statement is simple. and should have simple answers

"A ley line storm! Amazing!" Streetwise says (The player hoping he got the inference). Math was going on in his head, as he circled, watching the storm. Fakir, a time traveller, should have reasonable capacity to research an event such as this, and plan a move to coincide with the time.

Either that or he was stalling until he could reset time and rescue the slaves of interest from the ships, which would be closer to his MO. He made for the storm. In his Morphus, even as a PPE battery, he expected he could survive whatever it had to offer.

Darrell turns his pelican head towards the storm. "Oh, shi-Allen! Streetwise! Escape, now!! " The birds booms over the distance between them like a bullhorn and the bird gauges the distance to the ship, judges it too far and dimensionally teleports. Darrell is gone.

The two minions clumsy attacks on Dryzh and Tesla are easily brushed off. But now Streetwise, Aki, Yumi, Dryzh, Tesla and Sapphire are hit by a spell of some kind and begin to glow. Romidus can't be touched in his dissipated state apparently.

In a few seconds, the storm will reach them.

"I'm a beacon, now." Streetwise said, a grin on the Griffon's face. "Fascinating."

With that, the were-griffon did a barrel dive. "Portal home, folks!" He calls to his ship. "Everyone in a line!" And he begins summoning the back door home.

Yumi races for Aki, even as the firl grabs at her and stuffs her in the sack. unsure what made the storm come up this fast, she simply grabs a hold of the rail and looks about. she waits to see what the others do about the storm first. her focus still on the unseen one.

Streetwise realizes he won't make it to the ship, the storm will catch him long before then. He can try to weather it or he can save himself like Darrell did, but he won't be able to outrun the storm and get everyone out before it hits.

Everyone else can see he'll be too late too.

Aki has never seen odd weather like this before. it is more like an angry god or something. she cannot understand why the storm came so fast, but she does hold on to the rigging and tries to do a crescent kick at the unseen one now.

to anyone else looking at her, she's kicking at air. she really hopes to get a solid hit and knock the person over.

The storm overtakes Streetwise at a hundred miles an hour. After he is swallowed by the storm, a rift opens up and washes over Streetwise. He comes out of the rift in some ruined city with purple weeds growing in the rumble. Darrell sits nearby. The rest of the team is nowhere to be seen.

Streetwise had been travelling about as fast as the storm (a speed of 47 translates to something close to 100mph), and so came roaring out of the rift before looping and gliding into a standing landing. "Darrel." He says, as a polite greeting. "Is this your doing?"

The rest of the group, glowing from some unknown magic aboard the ship, and Romidus floating in a haze above the ship are also swallowed by the storm, and for them too a rift opens. Although a different rift from the one Streetwise went through.

The ship smacks into a cliff immediately, then it falls, sliding down the cliff face to smash to bits at teh base of the cliff. Romidus stays floating of course, and the group discovers that the glow was some kind of protective spell (Dryzh, Aki, Sapphire, and Tesla take a mere 3D6 damage).

The ship is wrecked and the crew and the attackers, now visible are all dead or dying. (8D6+50 damage). There were five of Fakir's minions aboard.

A couple Orcs might still be barely alive, but without skilled healing, they will bleed out.

[Note: this world has anti-magic properties. Only ritual magic functions, spell magic fails, supernatural and natural abilities of supernatural beings don't function properly, personal PPE cannot exceed 100 - drains. Psychic powers and martial arts powers are unaffected.]
