Aki looks at Dryzh and nods. 'ok. we go play in vines then' *she waits for the Mongoose to climb inside the carrying sack and then chirps. Aki then scrambles up the ladder and then along the rail to the rigging and seems to fly up there as well. clearly she's used to jungle vines by the speed she moves.

how she'll react once the ship gets underway? .. no one knows .. but it could get interesting. now? it's like she's gone home. she's here and htere in the rigging. pausing to hang by one hand to stare at a sailor in the rigging then moves on to the mast and half slides down to land on the decking to move about and stare at other sailors. she then moves to the railing and waits, Yumi pokes her head out and then hops out of hte carrysack and sniffs about hte air and hisses at one sailor that's too close

Seeing the ship making way, Streetwise lets out a griffeny roar-screech, as much for embelishment as anything, and pumps his wings to gain speed himself. If it looks like the ship is going to beat him, he'll land on the ship and ride it.

Otherwise, he'll stay in the air.

The Traitor's One-Sided Triangle

Even with magical assistance, no ordinary ship can outrun a were griffen. At least as long as it still travels through the water.

Darrell asks Sapphire, "You want to scout ahead too? Just be sure to come back and tell us before we wander into any traps, eh?"

Off in the distance spouts of steam, bursts of lava, bolts of lightning, smoke, fog and cracks like thunder (or ships beams cracking) can be heard and seen.

From his high vantage point, and well ahead of the corsair, Streetwise can spot a strung out line of six fleeing ships, each pursued by a couple smaller craft. One of the big ships drifts aimlessly, and another is smoking. At least four of the smaller craft are sinking and several dozen sailors flounder among wreckage, swimming for their lives.

Fakir is nowhere to be seen on any of the ships, and there isn't any sign of the stolen slaves. Well trained gladiators, pirates and powerful mages are vying with Fakir's minions though. Scantily clad women, some of them with unusual features leap and float on, above and between the ships and the small craft trading spells and combat with the forces from the giant's island. None of the women seem to have any weapons, but they appear to be using magic spells to shield and armour themselves and they seem to be quite capable at hand to hand combat. No surprises really, since their leader is a temporal mage and fought a were griffon bare-handed.

Streetwise can see a girl whose hair seems to be the color of the sky. Another one with dog ears and tail, and several with long bunny ears. One of them is dressed as a Pittsburgh Steelers Cheerleader, though several seem to wear only swimsuits or body paint. The minions are short, curvy, and don't seem to have killed anyone at all, though a couple of the bodies floating in the sea appear to belong to Fakir's minions.

Back on the corsair, Darrell flies up into the rigging in an attempt to see the battle better while still assisting the ship with the powerful winds. "Ah, better come up with a battle plan." He peers over at the Orc captain, "You threw that 'food' over right? Too bad, we could have catapulted it at them."

Yumi returns from her trip below decks. her mouth is red from munching on a few rats below deck. Aki doesn't look but shitters at the mongoose, who promptly sits and proceeds to clean its mouth and body of all traces of its meal.

'there are rats below deck. maybe they want move to another ship. Yumi had many for meal and they still want away. i not good long away fighting. more like touch them fighting' *simple shrug shows them that she can't be much help yet, but will try.

Romidus rises up from the deck towards the bird. "Do you wish us to attack them? I can hit them from here."

The Pelican turns to regard Romidus. "What the hell, lets hit them," the bird shrugs. "Sapphire, lets get airborne. Er, lets target the ship in the middle first. I don't think its the one in front or the one hanging back. But we'll find out won't we!"

The bird lifts into the air. A strange sight is visible in the distance. One of the minions whirls another and chucks her high into the air. In an arc hundreds of feet long, the cat girl minion sails through the air as if she weighed about as much as a bird, then she lands aboard one of the other corsair decks and starts battling the gladiators.

Soon, a couple minions are thrown at the group's ship. They look like they could be twins, only one of them seems like her hair changes color to match the sky - white as a cloud as she sails towards them, then quick to blue. While the other is merely silver haired.

Romidus focuses on the ship that the bird pointed out. He launches a concentrated photon blast at the enemy ship.

The perfect shot from the photon blast hits the ship and splinters wood fly off. The frigate takes damage, still it will take a few more blasts in the same area to inflict significant damage on such a large vessel.

Streetwise watches as the twins fly past him, and powers head to the ship in the very lead (not knowing Darrell's plan). Then opts to catch one of them.

The girl watches Streetwise try to make his grab. She doesn't realize he is about to fail, so she uses automatic bodyflip/throw to guide Streetwise attack towards the ground. [dice=20]+5. Streetwise is stalled by the throw, though he doesn't hit the ground because he is in mid flight. He will need to successfully recover otherwise he will splash down into the ocean.[rand=3699946437969562495779938567361380078324430647117589645056814006236]

Aki watches the battle as they approach. her eyes watch the people flying and hopping about. she observes the twins sail into the air, and watches Streetwise suddenly start to fall.

Yumi has gotten back into the carry sack and waits. the mongoose is unsure how to aid, but figures its safer to be with her in case she's needed

Romidus noticing that the ship is damaged but not enough to sink, repeats the blast on the ship aiming for the same spot.

Aki realizes that the twins are headed their way and gives out a cry of warning.

"dropping monkey girls"

*she points as the twins start dropping their way, then backs up and looks for something to use as a weapon .. and comes up with ... a wooden bucket. she can't think on how to use it, but it will work .. somehow. her bright eyes seem to keep track of other possible weapons to use as well if she gets near them

The ship is full of weapons, from gaffes to harpoons, to rows of axes and short swords placed about the deck.

As soon as the twins land on the deck, Aki realizes that there are more than two boarders. At least one of the girls has someone following her, invisible. Aki can sense this third person inside her zanshin circle.

The two visible twins quickly take in the crew and the others and one heads directly at Dryzh, and the other for Tesla as if they recognize them.

Aki doens't think, she reacts and winds up the bucket and lets it sail towards the third unseen one.

*she only hopes that it will connect with the person she can't see with her eyes and ony sense. it would hlep IF the bucket made a wound that trickled blood, but time and wind will tell if it hit or not
