Mei quickly drops the forcefield and lets Peter grab the items. As soon as he has him she will throw the field back up. She will be curious to see what her liscense says about single or married and all that nice stuff.

Kendall takes the items when the field is dropped. He looks at the monetary note, and seeing the year he disregards it. He quickly glances at Mei's license before handing it to her. He looks at his more closely before handing it off and turning to the first police report. After looking that over and seeing notes about his encounter with the Cavaliers, he then looks at the other report for next weeks incident. He holds on to both reports. He didn't give Mei all the details and he doesn't want her to get it from this guy. He looks over the report for next week very carefully trying to figure out what the exact incident is.

Mei studies her license closely especially to see if she is married or not as that one is of intense curiosity to her. It is the only thing she things she can get off there and that is pending off of her last name. She is inclined to believe that man at this point but will defer to Peter.

As Kendall looks through the documents in front of him he says, "you don't look human, so your not from earths future, why do you care what happens?"

After checking her last name she scans her address and makes note of it for one to look and see if it matches Peters and two to look up later as a possible place to live....lol

Notes: Mei's license didn't say married, but it had a CS address.
Kendall's license was his, and was renewed, showing no specific changes.
The first incident was exactly as Kendall remembered it, though clearly from the other side's point of view.
The last piece of paper was about asome kind of comm static discharge acoss the city. Since it was the first page there weren't a lot of details. Certainly not much more than a mention of the Iron Brigade, two independents and an alien.
"Your future is my present." William says. "Whether I am human or not. Whether I am on Earth or not." He grins. "For a species that acts like you're the centre of the universe, you certainly don't think about what spins around you."

Kendall folds up the papers and offers them back to the alien.

After a pause, "hey why us and not the Cavaliers. They work for the police, and are investigators. Wouldn't they be better suited?"

WIlliam says, smiling. Despite being a 10-foot-tall alien lizard man with a giant sword, with a lot of teeth, William's smile was charming, in an alien kind of way.
Reaching out with his giant hand, William takes the papers back. "Well, I do have to make sure Miss Li find this address." He says, bluntly. "She will be around people the whole time, and will be very safe."

"Yes but that would be wrong, if the danger is genuine to the public. Besides," She says with a wink "It is not like I don't have a week to kill!" She then turns to the large creature. If you are sure I can be of help Mr. But how are you going to walk around unless it is at night?"
She notes that he is a large creature and not sure how she will hide him, or if he has his own methods!
