Ch 14: A Night Out, or: Those Darn Caveliers

[sasqaricious]

"So are all of us. But we are going to have to wait till I get my own place to make it official. I mean I sold the house I grew up in mainly because if I had stayed there it would have been stagnant for me and I would not have moved on." and then she turns to Daveris, "I swear to you in chinese because, 1 it is fun and 2 it seems more polite so there!" She says with a smile and sticks out her tongue and winks her eye!

[Dome]

"I wasn't insinuating you weren't. Just making a point to Dev here. So if you plan on making this a regular thing I guess I should learn Chinese then?"

[sasqaricious]

"Well it could be Chinese as it is my favorite. But it could also be Japanese, French or Spanish depending on my whim. Oh I guess I should of mentioned I also learned a couple of languages so I could perform or write in multiple languages should the need arise! And I know you were not insinuating that I am not an adult!"

[Dome]

"Wonder if i can just get a language translator installed instead."

[sasqaricious]

"I don't know if those are even in creation or not. You know what you could do is learn another language. It is supposedly good for maintaining your memory. And apparently speaking if french is supposed to be really, really sexy, not that I know what that is like?"

[Dome]

"I don't do sexy."

[sasqaricious]

"No, I imagine not but I suppose one day I could probably do sexy I mean." As she switches to French. "le fait sexy non sain quand je parle en français "

[Dome]

Kendall gets a sheepish grin on his face that he tries to hide. Instead of saying anything he takes a sip of his drink and just makes an acknowledging grunt from behind his glass.

[Renekin Skywalker]

"Français est la langue d'amour, et ne pas de le sexe." Daveris answers, casually sipping her drink. "My mother's Haitian." She adds with a smile. "So there's at least one language you can't sneak by on."

[sasqaricious]

"Come now, how can you say that Daveris. I mean did you see the episode of friends with Phoebe, oh never mind. But you have to admit a girl that speaks another language can be sexy, especially french. What do you say Kendall?" Turning to Kendall to put him on the spot.

[Dome]

"I suppose some men find it 'sexy,'" he says while making air quotes with his fingers. "While it can be attractive to many I'm sure, I prefer a woman to speak english when she is around me. I mean I already have a hard enough time trying to figure out what a woman is thinking without her throwing another language into the mix."

Mei decides that being a tease would be bad as she does not know what Kendall will think and she is starting to enjoy his company. Especially now that she has revealed her secret to him and he seems like a nice person. She does decide to put him on the spot to a degree. "Trying to figure out women. I guess that means Daveris and I are chopped liver." She crosses her arm and makes a hmmphh noise.

[Dome]

"I thought you were women, If you want to be chopped liver, that's up to you," he says with a smirk.

[sasqaricious]

"Oh my apologies, as the way you were speaking was as if we were not included in that category is all. I guess we can't be all that special or memorable then." She halts her speech realizing she may be giving Daveris more ammo which to use in trying to hook them up. Not that she would be opposed to the idea but he does not seem to be super keen on the idea.

"Would like help understanding the female species Kendall?"

[Dome]

"Why do you keep selling yourself short? No thanks, with all the help in the world, I 'll never completely understand women. Guess the mystique is part of the draw."
