Beth plays dumb when Tom spoke," Oh hi. Sure, aren't you?" she glanced at her uncle, and when she was sure he wasn't looking, shook her head to the contrary.
If the young man knew Alice was watching him, he didn't show it. He was more content to watch the ring and chat with Greed.
avi turned towards the table and winked at Sasha, which seemed to cause Mario to take offense to.

Beth looked at her uncle for a second, who grinned at her. The young reporter answered, but sounded unsure. " Sure, I guess so."

Sasha groaned mentally at the sight of Mario taking offense at Avi's display. "It must be some form of cosmic bad luck," she mumbles. "My bartender, Mario and Avi get to duke it out."
She taps a manicured nail against her chin. "Still I wonder why Mario would take offense to that." She looked over to Alice. "Do you have lists on Meta's in the area, or are you combining lists of that nature?"

The bell rang, and the fighters converged on one another, Desolation immediately going after Ryne, leaving Avi and Mario circling one another cautiously. The rest of the crowd started to go nuts.
Beth got up from her seat and followed Tom. she bent in close. " What are you doing?"

Alice thinks about Sasha's question and shakes her head. "I'm not sure." she admits. "I'm pretty sure Mac and his people have been keeping track of metas in the area, after all they knew when I moved here. I would have to check with him when we get back."
Glancing over at the young man who was on the tape, she wonders 'Who are you? What is your connection to the Mayor?' Thinking on Sasha's question, she makes a note in her mind to see if there is some kind of list or database, if there were pictures she could look at to see if she can find out who he is.

Tom replies. "Figuring out angles - yours, right now - then your uncle's, and any friends of his. I figure that's more or less why you're here too, so let's see if we can compliment each other's efforts, perhaps?"

" I told you, I'm just here to keep my uncle company." Beth replied after a moment. " I'm not even making a story out of it. He's come to these a few times since he's joined Mr. Greed's Gentleman's Club, but he wanted to come to this one in particular. Something..., " she sighed," if you want to talk, can we go outside so I can hear you better?"
As Alice watches, the man from the video 's attention shifts, and he turned to watch Tom with the reporter.
In the ring, the action was heating up. Desolation was finding out the hard way tha he was no match to go toe to toe with Ryne, and a cut had already opened up over the fighter's eye. Avi had been taken down hard by Mario when he had gotten under Avi's defense and slammed him to the floor.

Sasha winces as she watches Mario and Avi go at it and truly isn't sure who she wants to win or lose in this fight. A few times she almost stands up but fights the urge and continues to watch her normally impassive face taking on a note of worry.

Beth followed Tom," Too much noise for me in there." she said, and now that they were alone, Tom had chance to notice that she turned her head to one side slightly as she spoke to him. " As I was saying, Uncle said something about not trusting Mayor Siang's nephew who is also here. He thinks Lon Siang is a hooligan and wants to find cause to get him kicked out of city hall and off his uncle's staff."
Nearly a minute in, and somehow Desolation was still on his feet despite the hammering Ryne was giving him. Avi on the other hand was in trouble, barely able to block Mario's blows as the fighter strattled him, trying to drop roundhouses and hammerfists through his defense. Sasha and alice knew the only thing keeping him going was his healing abilities, and his stubborness to admit he was beaten.

Tom nods. "Siang's nephew - that the bodyguard looking guy? And what's your uncle have to do with this? What's his connection?"
