Ch.52 who let the girls loose at the mall?!?

' . . . i suppose you're right. i was thinking if we had him, then the other guys wouldn't get him and do who knows what with him. but dose him, then give it and him to her to deal with. let her have a 'toy' before putting it out in the back forty .... '

*she looks at Vance and says simply 'i tried. they had a better argument. you gave me silence. sorry .... ' *with that she holds Vance's nose, none to gently, so when he finally breathes to get air, he's swallowing the dose. she covers his mouth while letting the nose free, and rubs the throat and gets a swallow reflex. she repeats the process until all the dose is gone and she feels his power fade.

'alright ... that's done. can we give you a lift someplace? to your car or something? i'm sure Vance would love to see the countryside . . . '

[dakota]

Vance squirmed but couldn't fight Sierra's grip. Within seconds, he was drowsy and nodding off. " That isn't like the stuff Ashley had." Kristian said. " We better take him with us. Mac will know what to do with him."

[shiivster]

Sierra says little for right now. she waits till his powers ' go offline ' before relaxing.

'yeah, he's out now. not sure what his powers are, but let's get going. nice to meet you lady. Fragment Angel and i gotta vamoose. hope you haven't been reported missing or something'

*she opens the door and 'assists' in helping Vance to the car with Kristian. 'V, you really can't hold your liquor. jeez and with the reunion happening tonight. really hope you'll be sober by then ... '

*she makes that comment as they get him into the car. she really isn't wanting to cause a report to be made against them. a strange cover story maybe, but one that could work and explain his absence to neighbors and others looking for him.

*she sits in the backseat with him, as Angel and Kristian get in to drive off. 'really would love to stuff him in the trunk myself, but that might make people think we killed him . . . '

[foxx]

"Trunk is a bad idea for the stated reasons." And Sara would know, having stuffed a few people in the trunk of vehicles in various stages of damage. She gets into the driver seat and and cranks the engine pulling out and heading back to their base of location.

"Not bad buys, we actually probably did a good thing tonight. Wonder how the others are doing right now?"

'not sure. but i'm calling in now. let them know we need McCoulter for a pickup ... '

*that said she pulls out a cell and dials the house and waits for a response. she just hopes she did do the right thing after all. while waiting for the phone to be answered she goes through Vance's pockets, trying to get his 'valuables' away from him.

'guess we'll have to write his place off. hope whatever her name is finds the rest of her things, or at least something to cover her losses ... fifth ring, hope someone answers soon ... '

[dakota]

Janie answered the phone. " Just who we're looking for. Here, alice needs t talk to you"

There wasn't much in his pockets. Wallet, matchbook, pocketknife, some change and half a blank business card with the first four digits of a phone number.

as they pulled away, Kristian looked to Sara," Why not the trunk? He'd be secured."

'hey Janie. we're inbound with Vance. he's a kidnapper and is doused with a knockout Cure. his victim is on her way. contact McCoulter and arrange a pickup. i'm sure THEY can get info outta him. should be there in about 10 minutes or so .. '

*pauses to listen to Sara respond to Kristian.

'sorry. nice discussion here. why am i needed again?'

[posting MY side of phone conversation here so if the others want to say anything, it can be answered]

"I just prefer to keep an eye on someone like that. Too many chances for him to misbehave when he's in the trunk and out of reach." He was a meta after all and whose powers they weren't all familiar with. That was enough for Sara to not trust the man even after taking him down. Which brings up another thought.

"Seems like a lot of metas in this town have a serious attitude problem. First Wraths boys and now this guy."

[dakota]

" You don't know the half of it." Kristian chuckled, glancing at Sierra and her phone conversation. " Miami is almost as big a hotspot for metas as Century Station, New York or LA. And it seems to bring out the best in them. We're sadly outnumbered from what I'm told." He drove away from Vance's building slowly, starting towards home.

Sara shakes her head and sits back full into the car seat. First few days into her new job, only it wasn't the job she was hired for with the Mayor and his meta-human task force. Design to harass and commit crimes. On the other hand the new job was a lot better and probably going to be a rough ride till they got their feet back. The team was definitely playing from a low win situation. Sara knew that needed to change and change as quickly as possible.

Though how that was going to come about is the toss up question of the day. Time to start working the angles and see what we can do...

'hello? .. is anyone there?' *frowns then continues speaking to Angel and Kristian* 'I can hear background noise now ... hello? ... someone there? Janie?'

*she starts listening again and nods as the frown grows a little more.

'alright. make sure that McCoulter is there to take Vance away. he's a kidnapper and uses some strange form of Cure. it knocks the drinker out. i suspect that he's behind the botched kidnapping from before.

'what's the address you need me headed to? no peeking guys .. jeez ... ' *as she grabs her jeans and slips out of the boots easily enough*

'Alice? maybe you can go snoop about in Vance's mind to find out why he grabs girls or where he's getting his supply of Cure .. or better yet, where he take's the girls afterward?'

[dakota]

Kristian nearly clipped another car when he should have been watching the road. He grinned innocently, then returned to the conversation with Sara," How exactly did Wraith recruit you, anyways? Maybe we can use that to get close to him. Were you the only one?"

[shiivster]

[phone to Alice] 'right .. will do. the others will be there soon ... '

[inside car] 'pull over Kristian, i'm redirected. Alice is alerting the others about .. our guest. take care'

[phone to Alice] 'i'll do my best. that's all i can do. later'

*that said, she's into her jeans without a hitch, a sign she's changed in stranger places without issue. she grabs her runners and hops out of the car and heads off down the alley. she knows that Kristian and Angel will look after Vance and they'll get better answers than she ever could.

*she half zips up her handcrafted coat and mutters to herself 'time to make the donuts .... ' as she continues on her journey

" Hey, wait a minute..." Kristian protested as Sierra got out after he stopped. He looked back at Sara," You better go with her. I can handle sleeping beauty."
