"Of course not," Darrell snorted. "I don't know exactly what it was to be honest. Kinda like a ley line storm, but much bigger from a power standpoint. And annoying. The rest of the team is on a different planet." Darrell sighs.

[Renekin Skywalker]

"Of course they are." Streetwise says, looking around. "To put one of us with them would not have imprisoned them. And It was probably Fakir's doing. It felt like something yhe would do."

Streetwise became Allen, who sat on a nearby rock, looking squarely at Darrell. "I'm new to this, but I'm getting the sense that the agenda against Fakir is more than just some flu vaccine."

Darrell's eyebrows knit together in bushy concentration. "Eh, with temporal theives, there are often dozens of organizations trying to hunt the theif down. I'll bet there are people chasing him for other crimes... but you could be right. He might have some other master plan with the vaccine theft only being a small part. Who knows? Temporal thieves are often insane, so it could be the vaccine theft doesn't make sense because its crazy. He might have had some other job.... Anyway, if he did want to trap them, he messed up." Darrell pulls out a crystal ball so Allen can see the team standing in the ship's wreakage. "It is easy to get in, but magic and supernatural abilities are limited there. Furthermore, the planet is sealed. So we can visit, but we can't leave using a tech device or spell. You can bring them any equipment you can carry, but when you get there you will have to go on a quest to find an object, ritual or pyschic dimensional travel device. If Fakir had control over the destination, he could have sent you there and it would have taken years to figure all that out. This way, you can break the bad news and resupply them while I watch remotely."

Allen watched the orb closely. "Rift travel is typically ritual in nature." He mused. "It would have taken me more time to realize my limits and how to overcome them. Even with Sapphire, I would have had a hard time to get the... Evidence B to your theory. I see his minions and they're not going anywhere." Looking up at Darrell, he adds. "We have a competitor?"

"I think so," Darrell said peering into the crystal ball. "My apprentices have brought back more reports of dead minions."

"So, what would you like in the way of equipment? Remember that the world is sealed, so it might take a little while to get out. And magic won't work properly, so you might want technology to replicate certain spells... language translators, that sort of thing."

Darrell watches the group start to stir and mill about.

Allen rubbed his chin, the shopping list growing as he thought. "We will need armour tailored to each of our needs, tech-based weapons - rifles and melee - and food for sure. And a truck. Or hover truck. Or horse and cart... What do we know about the tech level in this world?"

"Ehh, they have at type of unstable explosive, but its the kind they lob at each other gently - if you put it in a catapult they explode before launch. Some kind of nitro-gel I expect."

"They have chariots and war elephants and camels and such. There are silonaur in the desert if you can put up with them. All of their breeds are bit bigger than what you would find on earth, but I'm sure our animals would fit right in - well within the range for the smaller beasts."

'They have sailing ships, but it looks like the others are a long, long way from the sea...."

"I'll have some good armor prepared, as well as crossbows and short bows for hunting. We can use explosive and high tech arrowheads - I think that would fit in with the nitro-gel stuff they are used too, though ours won't explode if you drop them. I'll pack knives, hatchets, axes - but everybody should already be carrying their melee weapons right? Unless they lost them. The ones they brought for Palladium should work fine."

"As far as food and water, I'll pack up some condensation collectors and some gravity water filters. Water is heavy, you won't be able to bring all you are going to need if you are going to cross the desert. I'll get everyone camel packs and some waterskins, but you'll want a steady supply of water. Find a local and hire them as a guide. I'll throw in some gold and silver ingots in one, two, five and ten ounce increments and you should be able to hire a guide and buy the supplies you need."

"For food, I'll get you an hundred pounds of energy bars. That should last a few days. If the local you hire is any good, they should be able to point out plants to eat and where to hunt with your bow weapons."

"Does that sound good for supplies? Any subs? Anything else? I suppose we've still got to decide on transportation. Camels? War elephants? Donkey carts?"

"Camels." Allen says after some thought. "THey should be able to carry the loads we need, and I'm sure our Aki can help control them."

He resisted the urge to request firearms as a hold-out. Nothing like the retort of a shotgun to put a bunch of primitives in their place.

"We should get ready. Unless you're making a note to send it back to yourself from your future." Allen said, after a moment.

Darrell say, "Right. Camels."

"Also, I'm going to send one of my apprentices along. Her magic will be useless, but she has the general dimensional theory down and she may be useful in coming up with a way out of there."

"Her name is Bellephobe. A good mage if you get out of there. Now remember - its a sealed planet so don't try to teleport away with magic. Find something else."

"And good luck."

With that, Darrell mumbles and waves his hand and Allen disappears re-appearing on Otataral next to the shipwreak.
