Just as Angel hit the ball fairly hard, Kristian looked away distracted, and only a slight turn of his head was what saved his nose from being broken as the ball caught him squarely in the face. The ball bounced to Ashley, who hit it back even as Kristian flopped down to take a seat in the sand, dazed. Because he was behind them, Ryne and Ashley didn't notice him go down and they continued to play on.
It took some looking, but Tom finally found Jason leaning over the upstairs balcony, looking out at the surf, deep in thought.
MacColter slipped back into the planning session. He didn't say a word as he retook his seat, listening to Sasha and his team leaders.

"If the fighting will not involve abilities, then anyone with sufficient hand to hand training can pose as one of your fighters. Are they aware that Avery has abilities," he asks Sasha.

"I think so," Sasha said. "Because Avi was using his abilities for a few rounds before the person who stopped powers started blocking everyone's powers." Sasha frowns as she tries to remember the features of the man who was used to cancel powers.

' ... Kristian?' *sierra spins about and copying Jason's speed zips over and scoops him up and out of the way by 5 feet. a rooster tail of sand settling even as she squats and sets him on the ground. 'you okay? .. ' *gentle fingers touch his face as she copies his power and pushes the light healing into the spot.
*her eyes go darker as she turns the head to look darkly at the players, then back at Kristian. 'guess you're out too then .. feeling a little better?'

Deci takes note of what appears to be Sierra's crush judging by the way she reacts to this individual falling. Even if it is not true it is nice to know that the girl despite all things still has hopes and feelings. She snaps back to it before the next serve to make sure it is perfectly put into position for Foxx to spike it down.

*Sierra touches her lips .. then puts the fingers to Kristian's lips. 'whoops .. ? won't do that again. go enjoy your game'
*she stands up and this time skirts about the group towards the back stairs leading to the kitchen. she knows that it was an accident, but she's a little annoyed. not much can be done. it is also clear that she does have a weakness even if she doesn't want to admit it. she didn't say the words ~sorry~ .. but its clear that she is contrite that he got injured because of her actions

Jason came out of his daze to look at Tom," Huh? did you say something?
" Im out." Kristian said, getting to his feet and heading towards the kitchen. As he did, Avi looked at the others, " Well, you girls wanted to go shopping. Now's your chance I guess. Take Sierra with you."
Kristian caught up, taking Sierra by the arm and turning her around to face him. " Hey. Cut it out. I'm okay, just a bump on the head." His eyes were still a little glazed, but he sounded like he was okay.

*she gives Kristian a hug. her arms barely touch him at first and then slowly settle about him as she calms down.
'the past is the past and its gone .. right?' *its clear she's trying to block out what happened and why it interfered today

Deci turns to Sara followed "Well looks like it is you, I and Sierra. I am guessing both of us need clothes because as you pointed out that is about all you have! Me, I actually lost some weight since the incident and could probably use some replacement clothes and Sierra deserves a shopping trip. So what do you say Sara meet here in 15 minutes so we can go shopping that way we can shower and all that nice stuff?"
Deci actually checks herself out, she was not sure until now specially seeing they are in the heat now that she no longer perspires either. Which in her mind makes sense as if she can not take liquids or food in, Sigh there goes drinks with the boys, and they were so hoping when I turned 21 that I could Deci quickly thinks to herself, then she probably does not output any form of waste.

Jason shrugged. " Nothin', just don't like being grounded is all. And thinking of the what ifs. If it hadn't been for the seizures, I wouldn't have had the surgery and we'd be having chair races down the hallways now." He smirked.
Kristian brushed the hair back out of Sierra's face. " we can't forget our past completely, or we don't remember where we come from. What isn't good for you is bottling it up and dwelling on it. You're surrounded by friends now, so stop letting the past eat you up."
" You girls have fun shopping." Avi said as he, Ryne and Ashley headed back towards the house. " The car keys are in the kitchen."

Tom raises an eyebrow. "Personally, I'm more of a basketball guy. I used to play for my highschool team before the accident - which I know, I'm not exactly Lebron, but I was a solid point guard and no one could top me for the three-point. Looking back on it, it's probably an earlier indicator of my abilities. But even after the accident, I found a group of amateur wheelchair basketball players - even a few murderball guys." Tom ponders for a moment. "in point of fact, I bet I could even take you right now in a game of one-on-one. There a hoop anywhere?"

Sierra's face looses the worry and she smiles and nods at the same time. 'you're right. i was treated like a freak by my brothers. thought i had a harder shell then i did. i wasn't allowed to play with the others, so .. ' *she shrugs and gives a cringe*
'but i'm working on it. might stare at the water tonight, maybe even stand and let the water flow about me. i hear that it helps heal the soul. hope that's true'i might not like it, but i'll be okay. i don't have to hold chicks anymore. i think out banty hens knew i was trouble .. but its okay. i should get ready and get more material for coats.
'wonder if they'll like the jackets? .... ' *she leans forward and gives Kristian a peck on the cheek and then slips inside to get her jacket and a scarf for the neck. she heads to the kitchen to get some keys and then waits by the garage, ready to drive. she plans on shopping for material to make her clothes and some more jackets

Deci heads into the kitchen and grabs the first st of keys she finds. "OK all that are coming let us head out in 15 minutes. Sara, Sierra and anyone else wanting to come let us pile into the" as she pauses for a moment to look and see what key she grabbed "Vehicle when you are ready, but looks like I have the keys so looks like I am driving!"
Deci then spins around and heads off to the shower in the garage thinking Sweet I have the keys, I have not had the freedom of driving in like several months which should be nice. After which she quickly showers and heads to the vehicle in waiting for the rest of them!
