"Well, that's nice." Allan says. "Everyone, pick a Special Forces team. Tesla, please turn that off, and figure out who did it?"

[kurff]

"I'll see what I can do.." then closed his eyes, "A little trick I picked up 1942...It works much better now with all this technology. Technology can be so liberating..." he grins.

"Just be careful Sapphire, no unnecessary risks." he nodded to her before he started to mentally hack in to the system.

(OOC: Telemechanicly override the system, also tap into any security cameras.)

Everyone has a brief feeling of deja vu. Is the battle over? Was someone killed? No. The intruder hasn't been found yet. But for a brief second, it feels like that was the past and not the future.

The sound system is easily overridden, and just as Tesla turns off the music, the security cameras turn off. But it is a shoddy hack, and Tesla can still see what is going on with the camera's only the security station and the special forces are 'in the dark.'

Tesla can see a man, walking down the main hall. He is dressed like all the other special forces guys and has the same weapons, but none of the other soldiers are alone.

Then the guy turns the corner and they can all see him, well except Aki and her familiar - they can't see him from the ducts just yet. But the rest of the team can see him. He waves and calls out, "Hey, I was listening to that!"

"Ho boy. He didn't wait long to show himself, ne?" Taifuu says, spreading his feet. There is a slight wave throug his hair as a breeze blows through as he centers himself.

"I'll be sure to pipe in the music in your cell when we're done. I suggest giving up." Taifuu shakes his head. "You don't want the alternative."

The deja vu worried Allan. He didn't usually get them, and when they did, it often meant some kind of meddline. "How many times have you tried this so far?" He asks the one man, noting his appearance, etc.

The man just shrugs. "Oh, you know, its hard to keep track." He keeps moving closer, casually closing the distance. "Twice? Yeah, I suppose you would count the first one. Not me specifically, but I suppose it would count."

We doesn't seem to be in a particular hurry, just seeing exactly how close he can get to the team.

Its hard to make out much about his appearance behind his pulled low special forces hat, and his combat fatigues. But he seems a little young and short for a special forces guy, and he has short cropped dark hair.

Sapphire while trying to be at least secretive to a degree casts a sense magic while observing this individual. While trying to figure out what he is saying or better yet meaning by his words.

Sapphire then gives a glance to her master to see how she should proceed to see if there is any input or instruction. She will also inform him of anything garnished from the scan!

The spell sense magic reveals the man has on his person some magic items, but he isn't magic - at least not currently enchanted, casting a spell, or a creature of magic.

It does, however, pick up that there is a magic presence beyond the man in the process of invoking magic, and the room/area the team is currently is enchanted. (There isn't anyone on the cameras at this spot.)

The man casually goes for his gun, reaching for his sidearm, not the submachinegun slung over his shoulder.

*up in the central air duct, Aki slithers about with ease, passing to look thru this vent cover or that and itno each room that she is currently over.

*Yumi pauses at a heating vent opening to sniff at the air as the mongoose peers this way and that. then she too moves on to the next one. any rodents in the vents are made short work of and bodies left at vent openings for easier disposal

*neither is aware of what is happening behind them

"Master Tesla, the man seems to be having help, he himself is not causing any magical effects right now although he is carrying magical items with him. However both this room and the team are currently being enchanted and that magic presence is from beyond his presence!"

Out of caution Sapphire casts a see the invisible spell just in case that is how he makes his escape, especially if this happened before!

"Wow, cute and insightful. I'm going to like working with you." Gives Sapphire a playful smile before returning his attention to the thief. Like her, he casts a spell to see in the invisible. Then he starts to make his way towards the thief. It was time to put a stop to one part of this group.

In case the thief decides to start blasting away with his pistol, Taifuu will dodge.

Quietly, Allan casts telekinesis, while the others banter.

When the spell is cast, he will pull the pistol out from the thief's grip to himself. "Play fair, now." He says. "Don't approach him. We do not know yet who's pulling the puppet's strings." He only said that, hoping to upset the thief.

"I take your not going fight unless you need to or you'd be shooting now. So why are you here?" looking to the new arrival, Tesla put himself beside Sapphire in case it turned into firefight. He sent a Radio call tele-mechanicaly via his radio quietly. sending details and visual to the other Special forces.

Sapphire quickly does a shy away from the smile that was given and then activates her last spell of Armor of Ithan out of instinct on Tesla. "Master, this should help keep you safe. If I have another moment I may be able to gain some more info about him but I am not sure what else. What would you like me to do!"

The man grins as his pistol is pulled from his grasp and he quickly forms his hand into a 'gun' with his finger extended and his thumb back like a hammer - pointing his finger in the general vicinity of the team he says, "bang!"

(Tesla, Sapphire, Allan, Taifuu and DJ must save vs. Psionics. Taifuu is +4, DJ +1 and Tesla needs a 6 or higher to save. Everyone else needs 10 or higher. With a successful save you may undertake additional actions. Fails should wait before trying anything new.)

Aki and Yumi haven't really found anything yet, though Yumi smells lavender perfume wafting up from the hallway.
